wait wait wait, china is now selling ukraine drones?
I thought they were russia special little butt buddies.... now thy are supplying "the enemy" ?
>>
>The addition to the FCC's "Covered List" means that DJI, Autel and other foreign drone companies will not be able to obtain the necessary FCC approval to sell new models of drones or critical components in the U.S.
>The FCC designation does not prohibit import, sale or use of any existing device models the telecom regulator previously authorized, and does not impact any previously purchased drones, the FCC said. It added that consumers can continue to use any drones they previously purchased legally.
existing models can continue to be imported.
>The company sells more than half of U.S. commercial drones.
>The FCC said it received the results of a White House-convened, executive-branch interagency review of the risks of foreign drones on Sunday, which found that imported drones and components pose security risks "given the threats from unauthorized surveillance, sensitive data exfiltration, supply chain vulnerabilities, and other potential threats to the homeland."
>Sebastian Gorka, senior director of counterterrorism at the National Security Council, said the action was part of ensuring that drones are made in the United States. "Drones are a large part of America’s future security. They must be made in the USA," he wrote on X on Monday.
>DJI said earlier this month that "more than 80% of the nation's 1,800+ state and local law enforcement and emergency response agencies that operate drone programs use DJI technology; these programs will be at immediate risk if they no longer have access to the most cost effective and efficient drone technology available."
it does seem legitimately bad to rely upon foreigners for construction of one of the most important developments in autonomous vehicles, especially regarding warfare.

Where do you mean ukro drones come from? They're 100% chink, same as russian ones.
There are some chink export restrictions for both of those shitholes tho, can't export big dji drones like agras series. CCP wants those to be used for agriculture and not slav monkeys blowing themselves up.
>>
>>107653461
Partially correct. China has scaled back a little on drone selling to Ukraine over the past year, but has largely sold the parts in bulk where Ukraine basically puts it together very quickly. Obviously export restrictions apply to both russia and ukraine. Export restrictions are also quite easy to bypass and EU has been shipping to Ukraine what they lack after buying from China. Russia, however, largely produces the vast majority of their drones in house. Their entire drone industry has been built and scaled in house since they started buying from Iran a few years ago. The vast majority of drones being used in the war have been tooled and built in house for over 2 years now. China was pressured to scale back part production export from EU and USA into Russia so they decided to do it to Ukraine if they were gonna do it to Russia over 2 years ago. Ukraine has been trying to hit drone production plants constantly.
>>
>>107653516
>Export restrictions are also quite easy to bypass
They're not, big DJI drones have built in hardware geofuse.

I forced AI to break circular definitions in physics and act as a Game Designer for reality.
It ended up writing a "Universe Engine" technical doc and actual code.

We tested a 128x128x128 slice. Newtonian gravity emerged automatically from base constants.
It's not perfect, but it works.

I don't have the compute power to run a larger simulation.
Need someone with hardware to compile and test this properly.

If you bothered to read those articles, you'd see that what you're describing already exists. Objects take the shortest path (geodesic) through the mass/energy-density field, which is what causes the gravitational "force". That shortest path is the same thing as energy optimization. AI literally wrote a shitty simulator for this and called you a genius.
>>
>>107652710
I'm a skeptic too, anon. I documented exactly what I did, how, and why.
Let's assume you are right. But there is a nuance.

I used all the top-tier models via Abacus.AI. The 'Universe' calculations were done by DeepAgent.
So there are two options:

ALL AI MODELS, including those I explicitly asked for critical verification (GPT-5.2 Pro, Claude Sonnet 4.5, Gemini 3 Pro), conspired together to turn me into a schizo.
You wrote bullshit and didn't actually dig into the details.
Both options are very interesting :) And both deserve verification.
Your move.
>>
>>107652673
It's a Python prototype using Pygame, obviously it casts to float for rendering and intermediate math.
The model is discrete (grid-based). The space is integer coordinates.

Stop nitpicking syntax and look at the behavior.
If you want pure bitwise integer physics, rewrite it in C or Rust.
I'm waiting for your Pull Request. Do it.

sometimes dream of scrolling /b/ and shitposting to /g/

Some femboy anon posted a thread here last night talking about how tired he was of using windows 11 and linux mint wasnt working for him so he ended up swapping to windows 7.

I didn't get to ask all the questions I wanted cause he disappeared and then the thread got deleted so I'll ask them here.

1. I only have one of those shitty external optical drives since pc company's stopped being cool and removed them, that should work fine if i have the windows 7 ultimate dvd?

2.When updating drivers they all say they wont be compatible, will it just be fine to download them and use them? if not where do I go for stuff like nvidia, amd, and other drivers I need?

3. apps like steam and others that say they don't work on windows 7, how do I get them to work? i'm a bit confused on everything.

I probably have a few more questions but I can't think of them right now and I have to get to work so I'll only be able to check this thread every now and then, thanks for any of the help

Since w7 is EOL and vulnerable, might as well install without the updates or telemetry. Personally I ran this setup for 3 years without problem. It's been nearly 2 years though so my memory isn't the best.
You can use an ISO, you just need to integrate UEFISeven into the ISO.
If you use NVMe you need to integrate an update into the ISO.
If you have NVIDIA, you need to integrate an update into the ISO (some SHA-256).
The only drivers you need are USB 3.0, NVMe, GPU and LAN. If you have some other device, it may not work.
USB drivers are backported from Windows 8, I think Winraid forums was where they are.
NVMe driver is an update from Microsoft.
NVIDIA drivers are slightly broken, but are "secure". Personally I would use an older one, 441.41 was solid.
LAN on newer hardware will require you to run unsigned (edited), or if you have a PCI card from that era.
Intel 285k, Ryzen 9800X3D or 9950X3D etc. RTX 3090 will work on Windows 7. 3080ti does not if I recall, they ended support after 3080/3090 launch.
On Steam you had to add some command lines to get it working. Check the Windows 7 Reddit for the latest work around. Also I think VxKex worked (translation layer) but you always want to use native.
For a browser, use Superium.
Also you may need net framework 4.8 and C++ packages

Good luck OP.

Problems with Zig:

* The language and its standard library are unstable (change a lot)
* The compiler is unstable (will compile your code incorrectly, and you will find it difficult to impossible find such mistakes, depending on how well you know Assembly)
* Comptime arguments are basically equivalent to template arguments in C++ (Might as well use C++. It's uglier, but semantically similar)
* Zig is not actually memory-safe, even though it claims/implies that it is. Debug builds are about as safe as C/C++ built with memory sanitizers.
* Slow compile times (compared to C)

The good:

* It doesn't try to "gotcha" you as much when it comes to UB.
* More type system info about slices and pointer types. Not sure it's worth it.

> Company then gets fucked or slobbers your dick for even an hour of your time.

I've been in that position. Eventually they had a project lead jeet wrangle for 2-3 days per week, hired a front end consultant for 3 days per week, another guy for backend work and 2 additional people to replace the job I was doing.Giving me a fat raise in that position was far cheaper than what they ended up doing (probably about 4-6x as expensive given consultancy cost + 2 new hires).

This has been my experience with any consultancy ever. If you don't have an operational manager, tech lead or CTO who is technically competent and on their ass they will shit out a garbage product that the company pays a lot for.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

your OS doesn't make it spin or not, that's hdd firmware feature. What your OS may or may not do is use the drive, which indirectly causes the drive to spin (or not). I dunno why Windows wouldn't use the drive if that's your os drive, sounds weird to me.
