>>107872721Cool, thanks. Looks like a neat gimmick. So I need the Hue Bridge and Philips Hue lightstrips (or bulbs) on the hardware side?
>>107872752Yeah, I got a starter kit with 3 E27 bulbs, the bridge and a remote for 99 EUR. Apparently there is an app for Linux too called Huenicorn but I'll nave to try it.
>>107872774Neat.
>>107872785Keep in mind it is a gimmick at the end of the day, you'll get used to it or bored of it.
>>107872752Yes. It won't work without a Hue bridge. You can only have one sync box per bridge, but you can run the apps on multiple devices across a single bridge. You can assign up to 10 lights in an "entertainment area" and adjust their heights and location, which correspond to quadrants on the TV input for color matching.>>107872863It's cool for movies. My 5 year old thinks it's amazing.

>>107871738I guessed. Too bad it doesn't have 4K
>>107871853In my opinion the worst thing is the filter sensible to absolutely silly nonsense; 4k is a skippable gimmick, even if you increase the resolution that doesn't magically fix issues like long shots in small manga panels looking bad.
>>107872425Have you tried writing in different languages? A source I had used to check for certain words to filter requests, writing in a different language, using base64, or misspelled words worked to bypass the filter
>>107872494Not really. The problem is that often enough I'm not quite sure about what it's looking for, otherwise I can just rewrite (or even omit) those words (my prompts are verbose as I don't really directly write them myself, I ask LLMs to expand my prompts). I've tried some recently blocked prompts using full (automatic) translations and results were a bit mixed. But it's worth to keep it in mind, thanks.
You should close browser tabs when you're done with them. If you want to quickly get back to where you were, there is a separate technology for that: bookmarks.
This was an official firefox feature 10 years ago but they killed it for something more convoluted and inferior. You can still get it as an unofficial add-on though. It's the best way to manage tabs.
Just do whatever the FUCK you want holy shit.
>>107856203>boot up computer>open Firefox>go to website I want to go to>close entire browser when done because i know the website will still exist next time I need to visit it>if I forget what website i was on, i go to browser history or I remember to save the link in a bookmark or text document>shrimple as
>>107856203Why would I bookmark something that I only need for 4/5 days tops + re-open it every day via said bookmarks (imagine clicking that shit 30+ times daily), then going out of my way to delete it, when I can just keep it in a group and when I'm done with said group just MMB on it to close it all?

I don't even upgrade debian anymore, all the packages I use are so old they get removed (despite not being broken), or they introduce upstream bugs that nobody notices but me and I end up having to compile them from source to avoid regressions.I certainly won't update chromium anymore, last time I did, it completely broke compatibility with fcitx on plain xorg sessions, and then it mysteriously came back in the next version.
>>107872212For an indicator, several states have already arrested the wrong individuals because a video ID system has wrongly IDed them as a past offender or someone with outstanding warrants. And in at least one well documented case, real ID wasn't worth shit. The arresting officer refused to acknowledge it as legitimate. It was only after the suspect's finger prints came back as matching his ID, hours after incarceration, that he was released. Now with a criminal record he will probably have to pay money to get a lawyer to expunge. Some states now have a barrier to arrests that do not solely allow AI identification, but there is already legislation to get those protections removed. It's pretty fucking bleak.
>>107872212>Will video footage, for instance, stop being a valid source in a court room? It's already the case. The judge can liberally decide to ignore your 'proof' if he thinks it might have been tampered with.

Is $800 USD enough to spend on a laptop for web dev? An AMD Ryzen chip with 16 gigs of RAM? Or do I need more than that?
>>107872541Almost, but 16 GB of RAM will be tight if you spin up a few Docker containers. I think 32 GB would be more like it to cover pretty much all projects you might want to run. You will run 90% with 16 GB and 99% with 32 GB
>>107872907I see. But of course RAM right now is expensive. Fucking AI company bastard cunts.

>>107872496Yeah it would help. Look for mtm style speakers.
>>107872496Yes simply because anything is better than tv speakersSideways the speaker will have cross talk, but you said you had to do t. However you need to flush mount the speakers in the cabinet with no space around the speakers in the shelf or else it will color the sound and probaby make it worse, like cupping your hands over your mouth. You can fill it in with foam for some benefit but solid wood is going to work better. If the speakers are ported on the back I guess you should leave the back open so the ported sound can get out. They usually have a distance from the wall in mind with ports and that will be fucked, but it is what it is. If you don't mind the sound coming from down low you can put even bigger speakers in the drawers there or chop that shit up and get the speakers in there vertically. I like the sound to be close to the TV myself though.
>>107872496Yes but get coaxial speakers like KEF's UniQ drivers so it doesn't matter if you put them sideways or not

Specifically web dev is fucked. The new tools in the ide's that allow the AI models to interact with the browser itself to receive feedback just makes it over for frontend.Don't need to explain or give it code, it just takes a screenshot and review the DOM and makes changes based on that. LLM's are limited by a good feedback loop.
