>/g/ makes an 18th album
Theme: Outer Space Music
Title: [Accepting suggestions]
Deadline: 7th of January [revised from late December]

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

To be absolutely fair and honest, current boards like the F1 are unimaginably good. You couldn't have something like this without any acoustic mods 5 years ago. It simply didn't exist. Once you see the light, you can't go back. The pure meta is here to stay for good.

has this ever been asked before, in the entirety of the internet?
do you expect people here to take time out of their day to write words similar to those in other arguments already found on the internet?
perhaps you expect some novel string of words that perfectly speaks to your brain, making the selection of Emacs obvious to you, granting you the desire to immediately open Emacs and begin your journey with it.

If you use paredit with evil, you need this setting to make a lot of the movement commands work as intended.
(setq evil-move-beyond-eol t)

Although this deviates from the vim standard, I don't really notice or mind, and most importantly, it helps paredit work correctly under evil.
>>
>>107636358
I also recommend overriding some of the evil movement bindings with paredit movements while using paredit-mode.
  (evil-define-key '(normal visual) paredit-mode-map
;; paredit function overriden evil function
;; ---------------- -----------------------
")" #'paredit-forward ; evil-forward-sentence-begin
"(" #'paredit-backward ; evil-backward-sentence-begin
"]" #'paredit-forward-down ; evil-forward-section-begin
"[" #'paredit-backward-down ; evil-backward-section-begin
"}" #'paredit-forward-up ; evil-forward-paragraph
"{" #'paredit-backward-up ; evil-backward-paragraph
)

These are way more ergonomic than paredit's default bindings for these movements. I think meow users could probably do something similar if they wanted to use paredit.

I don't think you understand how GPT-slop works.
>>
>>107635903
Because AI is a marketing term, not a rigorous definition. Akinator was called AI in its time, just like Eliza was in its time, and ChatGPT is called AI now but probably won't be 10 years from now.
>>
>>107636151
Still falls under the definition of AI. Since the defition itself is quite blanket and subjective
"artificial intelligence (AI), the ability of a digital computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. " - Britannica
>>
File: slop.jpg (48 KB, 610x876)
48 KB
48 KB JPG
>>107636262
I don't disagree under that specific definition. My point was that the term "AI", especially now, is meaningless marketing fodder and has no place in describing the capabilities of a system in any serious technical circle. Both decision trees and GPT-slop are objectively forms of machine learning. "AI" is nothing more than an arbitrary label assigned to a product by an empty suit to ride off of the marketing hype.
