Are these things even worth it?

Still on my shitty old desk. I need an L-shaped one

It's really funny to see programmers crying about losing ground to AI. Actually, it's not just funny, it's also ironic. Have you ever stopped to think about the many professions that programmers have helped to destroy? Have you ever stopped to think about how many jobs have been automated in recent decades? That's right, there were people who genuinely enjoyed being radio actors, typists, telephone operators, etc. But because of the programs created by programmers, these people had to adapt, others had to completely change professions to survive. Now, after so many decades of destroying other people's jobs, you want to stop the advancement of AI? And it's no use saying that "new professions will emerge" it doesn't matter. Just as you enjoy programming, there were people who enjoyed the job of typist.

You're not special. You're just the average low IQ nigger cattle.

Any Hexgears alternative for poorfags to look into?
Hexgears GK705 is usually recommended here but it would cost ~$60 after import fees to my shithole.
At my local Amazon I found the Hexgears GK735 available for importing as the next cheapest option, which would cost ~$50 after import fees (GK705 not available btw).
Next option I found is this ugly piece of shit Redragon Gloria ($53, no fees because available locally, the better looking black model is $62) which seems to be a higher end-ish model since I can't find anything else from Redragon that supports 5-pin switches.
Ideally 100%, but a compact version like picrel is a compromise I can accept.

"Innovation", and it's actually just materials that have been around forever, most likely used in other keyboards and switches at some point, and the switches feel 99% similar to previous ones because muh linear or everyone aping pandas/u4ts. That or making your switches look like little toys that have tranny colors.
What's that? Different mechanisms to produce tactility or clicks? Trying to recreate other switches in MX form? Pressuring shitty companies to fix their software so people don't have to rely on QMK or VIA?

>but what if you get stranded on an island with no calculator
Nobody's gonna quiz me on an island, and even if I did need math for some reason I have all the time in the world to solve it.

I thought I sucked at math and hated it. Turns out I just hated being told to memorize tables with no real world application to me.
Once it shifted from memorization to actual logic, and calculators were finally allowed, my grades went from low to top of the class. And once I eventually needed math to solve things I actually cared about (shop class, resource management in vidya), I finally started to memorize those pesky tables too. Imagine that.

No air cooling will always be more common. I can see single towers going away because the average cpu is hotter than what it was 10 years ago you have 150w cpus for cheap right now and unless it is big single tower it it struggles. A big single tower is less space and cooling efficient than double tower especially when you consider the offset double towers. Single tower are mostly kill at this point.
Can you beat phantom spirit/Phantom Spirit for 35usd/eur - no. The next step that is significant upgrade is twice the price but not twice the performance. Does arctic 360 mog even the most expensive double towers when you put something like 7950x/9950x - yes they actually boost higher clocks on more cores when there is sustained load. Does arctic 360 fit in almost any 100$ case - yes. You also do not need to do the one fan in one fan out like you do with the double tower when you put fans on top and mess with the airflow from the pass thru GPU that is common today. Modern AIOs are better than the air cooling when it comes to performance but unless you go for the top processor you can get away with a double tower for 35$, the performance is unbeatable, they will never go away.
>>
>>107869298
Water cooling is like adding a second step to your cooling. What is cooling the water? Fans.

Just use fans without the water.

Even without AGI, current AI progress will absolutely sink the value of human labour over the following decades. Everyday more tasks can be automated, more white collar work can be done by less people. New grads will have no reason to be hired other than the 10-15 years of investment turning them into the next seniors, and competition between this ever decreasing pool of jobs will only get fiercer.
How does the average person fare in this new world?

>value of human labor
nonsensical phrase. What decreases is the necessary human labor for the purposes of present production requirements.
>How does the average person fare in this new world
This is not a private problem. Either new markets emerge that leverage the AI-assisted human labor force, or wages start decreasing and commodity circulation falters, which leads to a generalized economic crisis. In the second case it's not the average person that fares poorly, it's most people. This is like capitalism 101.

It's not automation. It's much simpler. Supply and demand. There are too many people, so supply goes up. When supply is up, the price goes down.

do you guys think trackers have a good incentive to leech? i feel like this is especially true for movie trackers because there are so many of them but a lot of torrents have more cross-seeder than genuine leecher seeding what they wanted to download. obviously cross-seeding is good for everyone but i feel like on a lot of trackers getting genuine upload is kind of hard. don‘t ask me what kind of system they should implement though i‘m just here to ask the question. but shouldn‘t trackers try compensating the low user count more by incentivizing leeching?

What would be the benefit of doing that?
To put it in another way: Why is a low amount of leeching bad for the tracker?

well, low leech = low upload for seeders and thus less buffer to download more
