For, what, part of yesterday, Bing had videos that lasted 8 seconds and had sound. Now it's gone. And that was after throwing errors for the better part of the day. What gives?

am I the only one who thinks these phones aren't bad? just because it's not for you doesn't mean it's e-waste. a lot of them ARE, but not all cheap phones are BAD
buy an ad
the "buy old good thing used" argument never made any sense for consumer electronics even way back in the day. in fact in a first world country it basically never makes sense except for cars and houses, and even then only because of the sheer magnitude of the expense. old flagship might not even have av1 hardware decoding. this definitely will.
>>107886879buying last gen often makes sense because many products have a release model where they make a new version every year even if tech hasnt advanced and there's no meaningful improvement. there are often years in phones where 2 consecutive year's models have the same tech with some tiny improvement that doesnt nearly justify the price difference.usually however buying the latest thing in a market where tech is actually moving forward is the best choice.>>107886818if i didnt use the fancier features of my phone this one is perfectly fine. but i have a dock where i put my phone where i can control it with a monitor/mouse/keyboard both at home and at work and the lower end samsungs dont have it
>>107886818Just stop being poor and buy a damn flagship and stop shitting up /g/ with cope threads seeking validation for being poor
I recently had a funny interaction, i took a piss at a starbucks and didn't buy anything. There's two indians wearing jackets and sandals in 55 degree weather drinking coffee outside using ridiculously oversized android tablets, speaking some impenetrable hindu gobbedygook with "14 inch" "amoled" "galaxy" peppered through. They see this meme phone in my hand and they're too polite or illiterate to say anything to me about it but it's obvious that they're gawking at it. Not in a jealous way, in a mocking way.But they're indians holding comically oversized tablets outside of a starbucks. It dawned on me that their society is built on caste based elitism so they think that holding an even bigger and more expensive ipad makes them look successful. But they just look like stereotypical third worlders, some white guy with a cheap blackberry clone completely shatters that illusionThank you for coming to my ted talk.
>>107884254the kika keyboard it comes with being shit is an indictment of the lack of polish it's not really a usability issue because you can just use any keyboard you want off the play store. plus said argentinian did an extremely good job on the pastiera keyboard, including touchpad gestures. its just not on the play store yet and probably wont be for a whilei've been using blackberry androids since 2017. the keyboard software had crazy insane polish because blackberry. the titan 2 is a better replacement than i ever hoped for but you just need to have realistic expectations. it doesn't have the polish but it's a modern phone, that's worth more than the polish. the key2 can't download a lot of apps on the play store anymore.they literally just announced a render of the titan 2 pro, with no specs or even a confirmation of basic features like the watch face. it's going to be like six months until the kickstarter happens and the phone is probably going to ship early next year. it just looks like they're chasing the cosmo communicator going viral. It's got a hole punch display, come on
>>107885826The Titan 2 Elite has better chance for support, the Clicks is ran by a gook who has VC funded other projects and immediately dropped them
>>107885696It was a very nice design concept but it was not executed all that well. The screen half of the device was phenomenal (i love the curved screen with the battery indicator. kino) but the body half was definitely half baked. the keyboard was super tiny and the buttons didnt have any travel - it was kind of a bad introduction to keyboards on phones. it was hamstrung by the absolute worst smartphone SOC of all time, the snapdragon 808. ridiculously underpowered for a 1440p screen, ridiculously hot, ridiculously slow. They die eventually because the cpu delaminates or something (my nexus 5x did the same thing!)it was absolutely fucking decrepit by 2021 and i was glad to get rid of it even though i loved the physical interface. It lagged just browsing the internet and you were lucky to get 30 fps anywhere. the key2 never got slow like the priv did. mine still works fine. it's just using an old enough version of android that's starting to get annoying.
>>107885826Personally, specs wise the clicks might be the better choice, but the keyboard on the titan might be better. We need to really see how everything ends shaping up around the second half, so far unihertz has had a pretty shitty track record in regards to after sale support for their phones, the titan 2 regular has been for a while on the market, but quite literally only got a single OS update, and since fucking june we've had android 16 available, how in the fucking hell hasn't it been updated already from 15?

It’s crazy how it will literally be impossible to build a PC in about 12-18 months, and might never be possible again.whatever PC you have now is probably it.Unless you feel like spending 200-500% MSRP for RAM and GPUs. And even that option is likely to go away. At some point soon, your “upgrading” options will be a cloud terminal connecting to Sam Altman’s panopticon, or a $300,000 server.

At this point I think the newer models are smart enough that if you ran like 100 thousand instances of them for long enough you could achieve AGI in a year or so.They're not even more intelligent than a junior engineer, but the issue is that the average person can do very little real intellectual work over the course of a lifetime. LLMs are like if you took an immortal halfwit and forced it to take Adderall until it wrote you Shakespeare. I guess it's happening just like AI 2027 lol.
Except God will intervene with some bullshit slowdown like a Taiwanese tsumani or a coronal mass ejection or COVID 2 or some shit because we are meant to rot and wither away instead of living in peace and abundance
Anon that asked for speediest switches here.I went with a low profile HE keyboard. Yeah HE is indeed an big meme but I wanted to adjust the actuation points of just the outer keys which I press with my pinky so I don't feel as much strain. It's a pretty nice feature for that purpose specifically and it makes COLEMAK actually fun to use now.Low profile was definitely the way to go, it's speedy because the physical travel distance is smaller and I can still mash down on the keys. It's also not as loud as my old keyboard.
