Will starting an onlyfans where I fuck exotic animals help me get a job in tech?
>>107678396Haven't posted on /g/ in many years, didn't realize that /twg/ was a general. /int/ is fucking useless. Anyone here is a danish developer OR work at one of the big tech firms who could help me out, that would be much appreciated. The tl;dr is what is a high-end but reasonable salary expectation for a staff sw engineer in Copenhagen at a major big tech company? So for the long version: I'm a Norwegian that's about to receive a job offer for a position in Copenhagen for a major tech company at one of their R&D departments, as a staff software engineer. I already have an extremely comfy job here in Norway that I'm reluctant to give up, relocating is suboptimal since I own a condo here (and ideally would like to keep that/rent it out), 10+ years experience, a solid education, and a decent salary (from a native Norwegian perspective). So the salary needs to be on the high end for me to even consider it, but I have no idea what a decent salary in Denmark looks like. Additionally, I also know little what the cost of living in Copenhagen is or generally how much the rent for a 2BR is.For background/context: I didn't apply for this position at all, a couple of principal engineers there have been following me for some time due to some work I published years ago as part of my PhD, and they've reached out and really wants me to join their team, most likely because the recent AI hyperscaling trend has suddenly made my work go from being a neat solution without a real use-case to having a clear cut use-case and almost a necessity at this point.I checked around on glassdoor a bit, seems to me that the salary range is from 900k-1100k DKK, which to me at least seems a bit low especially considering the friction of relocating to a new country.

My biggest hard drive a 12Tb WD JUST FAILED DURING THESe prices
You did buy a stack of hard drives like I did when they were still cheap for exactly this reason, right.
>>107696098nmp, i bought loads of 500gb ssd's and used enterprise drives from ali for a few bucks each when it was cheap. sucks to suck tranime poster.
I have a sneaking suspicion the 970 evo I bought in 2019 is going to shart itself any day now and thinking about it makes me want to kill myself

Needing some advice on music players for Linux. Running Antergos. Installed a few, and so far the only viable option is Audacious, but it is missing some creature comforts that I got with foobar. Most importantly, I want one that will support some sort of convolver, since I have impulse waveforms for all of my cans. I am using a Schiit stack to play everything. Anyone have any recommended players?

Half-venting, half-serious inquiry: why the fuck is Google shadowbanning (shown to only me while logged in, not shown to anyone else or to me while logged out) the following comments. Separate comments on separate lines, all shadowbanned:>About hardware: even back in 2016 I needed 128Gb of RAM to provide a service for my clients on a level that they expected, in 2025 that's a Threadripper with 8x32 and 24Gb of VRAM at minimum.>My company will outperform anyone who has inferior software, hardware, and less efficient pipelines. Outperform on money and on time. Clients expect top end results with a quick turnaround.>Another example, I have 3 large screens because over a year, it's far cheaper for me to buy 2 extra monitors, than to constantly waste time alt+tabbing to view references or communicate, etc.>But nobody would ever need 3 screens because you can do everything with 1 screen also, right? That's the difference between tinkerers and professionals: time = money.(arguing with a faggot saying my shitty thinkpad and opensource toys can do *everything*)Is Google fucking retarded? I haven't been able to converse with anyone for the better part of the last 5 years. The same bullshit, have a casual conversation going (or try to have), then check it while logged out and see that 70% of what I've posted has never appeared publicly. Sometimes the most mundane shit gets autodeleted like: "I wish you happy holidays, mate". At one point I tried to help some guy out by typing only "You can find it by googling *some mundane shit about computing*" aaaand shadowbanned. I may use my phone and an alt account, still the same shit. What in the ungodly fuck is going on? Not a single swearword. Not a single no-no topic. And then there's endless fucking botposts with the same exact spamcontent on every fucking major fagtuber 15 seconds after publishing a video. Oh then they are powerless, nothing they can do. Fuck them with a rusty iron spike. What the fuck is their problem?

You can't say shit when they inevitably kick it from under you, when you do.>>107695966Me either. But there's plenty that are stupid enough to.Besides. Why aren't you downloading all the software/tools for anything you could ever want to do offline on your OS since 2010? Download sites for obscure tools and utilities go down every year, accelerated since the last 5. Software support cycles are the fire in which we burn.

Is local AI unrecognizable from real pictures/real art yet?
>>107695542Why? You know there are african tribes, where women show their tits and the men there don't get sexually aroused by them, because they are "normal" and just seen as baby feeders.>feetthe west likes feet so much, because everyone (4chan) is porn brained, they see tits and pussies every day. Feet, Armpits and other "weird' stuff is seen as sexually arousing now, because this shit is rare.
>>107695595It's weird, I used to not be so much into feet, but recently something unlocked in my brain that started seeing them sexually. I still don't care much about butts though.

been using fedora since 2018, never tried any other distro but im not afraid of using the command line to do stuff like disk partitioning/installing a DE (i run fedora server btw). however i think i've got a case of wanderlust, i want to try something new, something not rpm based. arch bros? debian bros? ubuntu bros?
Give default Mint with Cinnamon. Even if its just a VM test. Everything is just pretty good out of the box. It's pretty much the Debian equivilent of Fedora. I haven't noticed any bugs or jank with Cinnamon. I'm on latest though.
>>107695007seems like debian only offers 550.xx.yy, is there a way to get 565.xx.yy or newer? or is that a recipe to get a frankendebian?
>>107695855Nvidia does have Linux downloads, but I don't know how well they work on various distros, so I'll wait for others to offer their opinions. But it wouldn't be a frankendebian; a frankendebian is when you run a mix of releases, like half of your system from stable and the other half from unstable.

what do you call this genre of homosexual AI musing? The key is never having any projects or problems solved by AI to back up this display of homosexual retarded delusions of grandeur.
>>107692178Web devs were never replaced by prompts. Web devs were replaced by mass outsourcing and visa mongering. Same thing with tech support - back in the 80s tech support/entry level IT infrastructure was a ticket to the good life in the US. You could start at some call center doing remote dial-up support for a phone company and get paid well and find all kinds of opportunities into management or deeper level telecoms/networking work. AI itself is a red herring being placed into the narrative by glorified terrorists to hide the fact that they aren't replacing you with technology, they're replacing you with third world scabs. Hey /g/, maybe you can help me here. What's the best gloves to prevent gamer gunk buildup? I recently changed from a 8 year old G610 keyboard to a G915 X keyboard simply due to it being easier to clean,as well as the G610 keycaps kept breaking, but mice? I don't trust myself disassembling them without breaking something. I've tried copper compression gloves but I absolutely hate the feeling of them when worn.>wash your handsI do. Maybe too much. Anyone finding themselves using this for general day to day inquiries?
Does anyone else know any good programs to help decorate your UI? I know StarIsBack is one of them, but I think there is more out there.

Unless you already know what you're doing, AI is the opposite of helpful, sending you down rabbit holes and hallucinating fake answers.
