It's not often I see another Julia programmer here.
>>
>>107536550
This is one of those features you can't appreciate until you design a library that makes use of it. When it finally clicks, it feels like a huge revelation. Things that were awkward to model with traditional OO become straightforward with multiple dispatch. You also get very fine grained control over polymorphism that would be unimaginable before, but now it's easy.

People who haven't tried it don't know what they're missing.
>>
>>107538733
Conversely, this is one of those things that feels only until you get bitten by it, and then you spend your time making sure each one is calling the exact signature you expect, until you realize that you could've just given them different names all along.
This Cycle is eternal, I'll see you here on this side eventually.
>>
>>107538624
OP pic shows Julia and it is JIT compiled though
>>
>>107536550
This looks like a description of method overloading
also I can't think of a single language where multiple dispatch is not possible

Why's adidas such fucking monopoly in Europe specially in slavic countries?
Are they really that good?
NGL but got a pair of sneakers I've used for like 3 or 4 years of going to trade school daily plus some more until today and just recently they're starting to show signs of being heavily used.

As a somewhat broke college student, should I buy a Google Pixel 9a for $350 and hope it lasts three years, or buy a new budget Motorola for $130 every year instead?

Current phone right now is unusable, but yeah you're right. I'm just using it for basic needs. Not sure how future proof the G power 2024 is but I want to be able to use maps, banking apps, browse websites etc in three years just as good as it can now, I hate when my budget phones start to lag after just a couple months

fine, here, theres some dents on the side where i've been resting my coffee tables legs on it, feels good, but im worried about the chemicals it might have seeded into it, i should really go wash it with a hose in the backyard and dry it out.

it feels quite good to the touch aswell, very low friction, a very high grade of polyester i suspect. Slightly thinner than the rug i bought from a retail store near me though, for whatever thats worth.

Some stuff from Ali.
Strip lights top left, battery powered.

Next to it are 2 different types of motion sensor lights. Top is more expensive, bottom is a cheap one.
I've not tested the top one, but the below one works well. A bit too well honestly. This thing was less than $2 and that seems to be the regular price. It charges via USB-C, and the motion sensing on it is very responsive. I'm almost waiting for some sort of rugpull because I'm super impressed. It has 3 modes, perma on, night sensing and all day sensing and even brightness control for the LED. It gets decently bright too, nothing mindblowing, inside it just seems to be an LED strip in a cheap plastic housing but still impressed. Comes with adhesive. I might get more just for the sake of it honestly.

Plugged into it on the right is a USB-C tester. My old one I lost, found, then realised I'd warped the USB-C pin :(
Then I lost it again :((
This one is fine, housing feels cheaper but it has a few readings my last one didn't.

Above them is a cable tie but one of those velcro like ones you get when you buy USB-C cables. I got a pack of 50.
Two controller cases. Black one has a strap inside to hold the controller in place and is a little bit more solid in comparison to the grey one.
Another led strip light, that one USB powered.
Finally in the middle is a vertical laptop stand. Ugreen do one but theirs is expensive so I found a cheap one that's less than half the price. It's complete plastic, feels very cheap. You place the laptop in and the weight pushes down in the middle and closes the two flaps either side. As far as working it does, but it's clearly meant for smaller laptops and not my chunky ass gaming laptop. It holds it fine btu also seems like you can knock it over.

When's the last time you saw a functioning ARM computer older than 5 years? How about 10 years?
x86 computers from 1980 are still in use to this day, running trains, airports, power plants, factories, even nuclear missile silos, and they're all completely serviceable with original parts from 1980, or after market parts made 4 decades later.
The real world runs on x86, while your disposable currynigger trash shits the streets in 5 years maximum.

Yeah, though with how much i've spent on upgrades for this thing, it feels like i've spent as much as I would've on atomizers... (or a traditional dab rig)

I got the sapphire insert for $70, new glass for $110, and a new carb cap for $40. So that on top of the $380 price I paid for the rig itself, it is certainly far from cheap.

But it's about as close as you can get to a proper dab rig from an E-rig.

This is why people who sincerely think AI poses any threat to "traditional" (including digital) drawing are braindead retards, the ones who think they're owning someone with their AI "art" as well as and the ones that shit and piss because "they're trying to replace us after stealing our drawings"

The only people who are truly threatened by AI art are commission-based porn artists that make generic slop.
Any creative form with even a shred of nuance is not going anywhere
>B-but people already use AI for children's books and games an-
And it looks the part, it looks like awkward ass
>That doesn't matter! point is if they didn't have AI they'd commission an artist
No, they wouldn't.
The reason they do it is because they think they can shit something out easily, if it weren't for that they wouldn't do it.
