took my first OA. First question was ridiculously easy but I was having brain farts. Second one was about accessing an API endpoint and manipulating the data...which I hadn't done in fucking forever and it came down to the wire. I'm sure I'll get rejected even though I got the right answers but at least I got this far.Time to apply some more...

Qt sissies, how do we cope
>>106541080while it's implemented in rust and integrates with rust well, slint uses its own language for the gui itself. it also uses (or used) QT for the desktop target(s), which makes this thread funny. lol.it was never meant to be a pure rust gui experience, like e.g. iced.their embedded target (no QT) does indeed have a good reputation. and it's probably their best niche, and how they are making money, if they are making money.

Old thread image limit reached.1. I usually get pro models, but this one is so fucking ugly, aluminum fucking sucked back in iPhone 5S days, your hand acid will etch the porous aluminum out, they made it more rounded so its going to be more resistant to that, but next year they will release a version that has those sharp polished accents like iPhone 5S used to have, and those will etch like crazy.2. Whole massive bump is a good thing in that they should be able to fit the sliding lens next year for actual optical zoom.3. the 8X is fake, its same tetra-prism of iPhone 15 and 16, but with bigger 48MP sensor they will be able to crop better and extract more from the telephoto lens. Glass is what limits the ultimate resolution of the sensor, so bigger sensor will give better image quality, zoom in to 8x on your iPhone 15/16 Pro Max right now and it will look the same just slightly sharper, just because of extra pixels, but its still a hack.4. vapor chamber, metal encased battery, and ceramic coating are the only great additions, metal encased batteries were added some time ago but now it seems we have them across all phones, should be more user service-able, thank Europe for this, because our politicians here do not give a flying mega fuck, and they shit on you poor fucks who don't even have a trust fund. Ceramic coating is amazing if truly added, think CERAN, the "glass" that is used in electric stoves, transmits infrared, crystal structure makes it so it does not shatter from hot/cold shock, hopefully that also translates into shatterproofing.5. Applel Watch - well, not much to say, hypertension sensor is great, but obviously limited, sleep tracking is fucking retarded, blood oxygen level finally gone it was retarded, you should know when you are asphyxiating from lack of oxygen, A MUCH BETTER ADDITION WOULD BE AIR MONITORING SENSOR!6. eSIM - fucking cancer, you cannot change or move your SIM w/o carrier approval "for privacy and security." Get bent.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but there was no iPad Pro mentioned. If there's a delay, they better be making it bigger. 15 inches would be amazing. And more RAM. It doesn't necessarily need a better processor to run ZBrush or Blender more efficiently.

Press F to pay respects...Meanwhile, here's my personally recommended alternative for get you started on looking for one:https://kisslauncher.com/
What the fuck is the point of Nova or any of these launchers that are basically identical to the default launchers? I use AIO Launcher because everything is in a list and is designed to be thumb scrolled, otherwise I'd just go with the default one provided by the Pixel factory image.
I use Nova because it allows me to change folder icons from the fuck ugly default icon to a normal icon of my choosing. How most launchers don't have this option is beyond me. You think I'm gonna forget that my icon is a folder because it doesn't show me all the shitty little apps in it 24/7? I created the fucking thing, I should know what's in it. I've been using the same layout with slight tweaks since my Galaxy S3. I perfected the phone home screen 13 years ago, and can do anything I need to do faster and with fewer steps than anyone.
>>106535114I stopped using nova years ago when they sold out. I've used Discreet launcher from the fdroid store and it has been everything I wanted in a launcher.
I use the fossify launcher its the most basic classic launcher which is all I need. I use a lot of those fossify apps from f-droid, I like that they make no fluff basic alternatives
>>106535114I remember using it back when I was still a hope-filled teenager with a girlfriend back in highschoolthough I knew they would someday fall out after they came out with the pro jewrygodspeed
Have any of you tried anything from M5stack, fellow /g/entooman? Haven't started a thread in some time. But I think I saw some m5sticks posted in a non related thread and was wondering if anyone tried or even know about this shit.Just got "Please wait a while before making a thread". So, while I wait: fuck you chink moot, I've waited a lot already.
>>106539741>made by EspressifHuh, didn't know, it's really recent though https://www.espressif.com/en/news/Espressif_Acquires_M5Stack>surprisingly small presence in the westI would say they are as well known as Seeed or Lilygo in the maker/tinkerer/hobbyist/diy field, maybe not as prominent as an Adafruit (especially in the US), but still. They regularly throw boards at that Eastern European dude for example https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCit2rVgOvhyuAD-VH5H_IHgI've been looking at some of their recent rotating knobs with a circular touchscreen in the middle for a potential project>>106539875If you're someone like me, a software dude who doesn't have a 3D printer who doesn't know how to design/fab custom PCBs, having a manufacturer with a real brand and some quality check delivering integrated "things" with the components you want (in a nice molded case, already soldered), is quite nice.Teaching is an option too yeah, but you may not be their target anyway
Same problem as arduino etc - really cool but no idea what I would ever do with one.
