The web is falling because of you suck. Your constant complaints using narratives you didn't arrive at yourself is agitating everyone.

>gnomes sucks "because bloat"
>life sucks for white single men because women have it easy
>Jews and Jeets at work suck
>systemd sucks "because bloat"
>the job market sucks after 2021
>computers suck because ram went from $100 to $300
>blogs suck because they just talk about how everything sucks
>mobile phones suck because they track you
>the internet sucks there are too many bots
>4chan sucks because of captchas

You're neurotic as fuck, and of course life sucks when that's the case.

Welcome to /aig/ - ARM Indignation General

Unlike the UEFI Forum that oversees x86 OEMs and mandates all x86 PCs implement UEFI and allow end users to run any code they want, including bootloaders for any OS they want, ARM allows complete "freedom" for corponigger ARM OEMs to release billions upon billions of completely locked down unserviceable unmaintainable planned obsolescence 5-year-lifespan-maximum ARM devices with zero user freedoms.
When's the last time you saw a functioning ARM computer older than 5 years? How about 10 years?
x86 computers from 1980 are still in use to this day, running trains, power plants, factories, even nuclear missile silos.

UEFI has existed for two decades, BIOS for four decades, ARM has been around nearly that entire time and has outright refused to standardize or mandate a booting system that gives users even a shred of freedom. ARM have sat back for decades and enabled and encouraged ARM OEMs to completely and totally fuck ARM users with planned obsolescence in the name of profits. They have completely infested the mobile industry with their locked down shit ISA and now want to infest the desktop industry as well.

ARM is a cancerous blight on computing whose primary function is to strip away and undermine the ideals and principles of personal computing freedoms and liberties by forcing normies to accept having zero freedoms.
ARM is the single greatest threat to computing freedoms in the history of computers.
Not surprisingly ARM was co-founded and funded by the most freedom-hating globohomonigger corporation in history: Apple.

ITT we discuss non-ARM ISAs from the past (6502, 68000, Alpha, Itanium, PA-RISC, SuperH, VAX, Z80, PDP-11), the present (x86, MIPS, SPARC) and the future (RISC-V, etc).

The combined version of the 10 volume PDF is just 5300 pages.
>that only covers half of the documents on site
We can play this game with AArch64 too! The mega 14,000 page PDF is the architecture only and is just a small portion of the rest of the documentation ARM has on their website for each and every CPU.

Are people actually serious about switching to Linux in TYOOL 2026? Is Windows 11 really that bad? I remember hearing people say this with Vista and Windows 8 but they all stuck around to use Windows 10.

>>

Huh. I thought all the moaning was people on distros aimed at old clunkers with 2gb ram and 256mb vram like debian or mint, which people still install on good hardware for some reason.

I switched to fedora ~15 months ago and rtx 4070 has been flawless for me, not a single issue.
>>
>>108403818
Microslop has been making Windows worse for a while, and it's gotten to the point where the normies are doing (a little) more than just grumbling. No clue if people are really switching to Linux, I started using it in the late 90s or early 2000s, can't remember the exact year.

General question to the anons: What do you guys use for serializing your lispy data structures?

If ronald regan hadn't uninstalled jimmy carter's solar panels from the top of the white house,

then maybe today your house would have had solar panels on it to heat the water.

Then you wouldn't have to be taking revenge gas chambering operation baths

or revenge gas chambering operation showers.

They’ve been resetting that time for years. I don’t recall seeing a single article during Covid celebrating the reduction of fossil fuel usage and the good it did for the environment. Nothing tangible. Climate change discussion is an illness to me. I took a class on it in college and the only takeaway I really had was that we should keep the internal combustion engines going longer instead of get into evs.

Do you have insulation on your hot water tanks? (you can also have the hot water tanks still connected to power to cover any short fall)
>>
>>108413105
It could work with home batteries and vehicle to grid plus some botnet software or just dynamic pricing per minute so that your local software can decide it's worth selling the power when the grid needs it most. I guess a botnet solution where you report your energy supply (stored plus what you are getting and projected to get from solar panels) at all times would be best so you can really safely shutdown an entire power plant at some points during the day. (or go to idle or whatever i dunno)

I hope this shit gets off the ground more so local companies can get their fucking equipment hooked up again here in the netherlands. I am sure there is plenty of unused battery capacity in cars and people will be willing to get home batteries if it pays. A lot of the capacity problems is just peaks around 7pm for example when the sun is already down or low and people are running a wash, charging their car etc. you could easily have the car supply energy (that it bought for cheap from solar during the day) until bedtime and then have it recharge a little bit at like 1.5kW overnight. Like you come home with 85% soc, your washer dryer and your moms hitachi drains it to 75% and then it just charges to like 80% overnight or even from 6-7 if energy is cheap then.

I don't particularly care what anyone uses, but implication that "the world didn't exist before the advent of docker" is just misleading and annoying.

No, there always has been plenty of tools around. The docker has very apparent convenience tax and if you are fine with it - well, good luck.

Why have manufacturers clubbed high refresh rate with OLED monitors? I just want a decently priced 60Hz OLED monitor with a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Where are the standard, well-priced, office OLED monitors, chat?
3 replies omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>108412012
Because, OLED naturally has incredibly fast response times, which translates to high refresh rates. It's a feature that has basically no cost to the manufacturer, and can offset the higher cost of OLED panels for some people. Lower refresh rates would just be a manufacturer intentionally gimping the panel.

you are the retard, OLED can naturaly do high refresh rate, not allowing it would just be a fucking waste.
you are not paying more because it's high refresh rate, that's just how the tech works.
