MS pushing for "Copilot can do everything" and then suddenly pushing back will be always funny to me

It's literally that easy, why haven't they done it yet?

Because microsoft has added some for. copilot to fucking everything they ship. Notepad doesn't need copilot. It's often unclear where the lines are drawn and what the little shitter has access to. Copilot gets in the way.

Furthermore, copilot represents Microsoft's pivot to being an AI company, meaning that if you actually use Microsoft's other products, it's a fuck you to the existing customers and users.

Considered installing a just werkz pre configured distro, use it and then note the things you don't like about it? You could even use partitioning to keep home and root separated and make distro hopping a breeze

the reason it's called stage3 is because in stage1 and stage2 you have to setup and compile everything from scratch
stage3 is more or less a finished product

There are even stage4's which add moar bloat on top. Although that's a loosely defined term.

On Guix, I had this issue one day recently for no reason and never figured it out. I had no obvious updates that should have affected EXWM, but somehow it just bounces me back to the login screen if I try to login to exwm. Literally no errors I could even see when I tried anything. I think an anon said there was an issue with exwm-no-x-toolkit but I have no idea what’s causing the issue for me either. Very surprised to see such strangeness on Guix.

self hosting this POS phpware is so tiresome.
you pull one string slightly and the whole thing collapses.
doesn't even tell you what's wrong. just silently fails in the most random way possible.
they package no stable long term version that only receives updates for like a decade or so.
it's not packaged by most Linux distributions.
every time you update it or update your operating system everything crumbles.

why is it like this

True, I experienced similar issues. I use the snap version on Kubuntu.
The only solution I found is to rarely (if ever) update the snap and have regulat timeshift and rescuezilla full system backups.

Threadly reminder to go read Fisheye Placebo for more cyberpunk goodness!
>Vance just wanted to make the most out of his college experience under a totalitarian regime, and if that meant hacking into the university to assign himself a hot female roommate, then so be it. The last thing he expected was to be dragged into a crazy conspiracy to overthrow the government by his most-definitely-not-female roommate.

When is the deadline to comply with that? I never bothered learning how to install when it's on any of my machines but almost age verification shit is making me want to buckle down and install pic rel. Here are some petty niggles I had with Linux Mint
>Could not configure my gaming mouse, the software simply did not work
>No matter how much I tried, I could not transfer files to a virtual machine
>Doesn't have the scrollbar snapback that windows has, since my job involves reading some ridiculously long lists this was a huge inconvenience
>Waking up from suspend would often freeze, and the forced shutdown would sometimes cause problems of its own, I had to reinstall this shitheap five times in four months
>Some modifier keys don't play nice with keybinding settings, this is a long-standing bug
>Saving screenshots as jpgs and not PNGs, screenshotting in general on Gnome is rife with problems
>No alt-key usage, this was also a dealbreaker at work since I need to regularly drop copyright and trademark symbols
>Flatpak doesn't tell you that it's sandboxed and that this causes various not-a-bug issues due to permissions
>case-sensitive filenames, I really hate this shit
>No taskbar notifications, I'm on shitcord, zoom, et-al at all times
>The file manager is fucking dogshit, Windows Explorer is better by leaps and bounds

I switched back to Windows LTSC. I tried mint for months, I gave it a real try, but fuck that shit.

Got a gamesir nova lite 2. My first wireless controller, only got it because you could also buy a dock for it (not pictured because I can't be bothered to disconnect it).
Comes with a hard case that also accommodates the dongle, which is very nice.
The controls feel nice, my only worry is that the d-pad seems to require very light pressure to trigger, but it hasn't been a problem so far. The bumpers and triggers are dualshock style and you can lock the triggers so they become more like buttons. Takes a few presses before they shift to hair trigger mode though. Also I can't update the firmware from my PC since I'm running linux, but I can connect it to my phone and do it from the app.
Overall very happy with it.
>>
>>108508027
Apparently PCs last longer if you have them always on, compared to turning it on and off everyday. Maybe it's true for minipcs too.
So far, of these 4 brands, I'll put Beelink and Geekom tied at the top. They seem to be the ones most serious on overall quality and longer support.
Second I'll put GMKtec, since I've read comments praising them for the soldering quality in ther mobos, and they manufacture mobos for other lower-tier brands (if I'm not wrong)
I'll put Minisforum on third place, they seem to be focused on trying new things (like the MS-R1). It's like they want to position themselves as the "innovative" brand, but I've read many bad critics about their quality and QA process.
I think you can safely ignore the other chinese brands. And don't forget that outside China there is ASUS, AsRock, Gigabyte, etc, also doing minipcs. The AsRock Industrial sub-brand is for, well, industry, so they are made sturdy, but I've seen they're harder to find, at least from my shithole (Argentina).
