Is there a technology to become a cis woman that would also give me the female socialization, the female body, etc? I can't stand being the fucking retarded male gender.

is IBM a good place to apply for tech jobs in the current AI climate?
15 replies and 2 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
I work there as a software dev. If you're a new hire there in this day and age, you should be able to get a few years of stable employment at IBM at the minimum. Work life balance is good and IBM tech stack is not necessarily boomer or outdated.
>>
>>108413419
does IBM hire in Europe? They used to have a office in Germany and host conferences but nowadays you hardly find anything about them. They gifted a nice bonder for our university once.
>>
>>108413419
how high are my chances of having to share an office with jeets?
been thinking of applying, probably won't even get an interview though
>>
>>108414779
IBM has a sizable presence in Ireland and the UK. I don't know about the rest of the Europe but I see many people in software working out of those two locations at least.

>>108414809

You're gonna have to work with Indians on your team, most likely via remote collaboration but also in your office space too. It is true that IBM has hired a lot of Indian devs recent years. It's not that big of a deal honestly, the incompetent ones don't actively screw you over and the competent ones are really helpful. But yeah, resume screening for IBM roles is notoriously arbitrary.
>>
>>108413104
I'm really thankful I still haven't had any weird nightmares involving Indians. Not being able to run in my dreams/nightmares is bad enough, I can't imagine the horror if the floor was made of slippery shit.

i could do everything i need on £20 of chatgpt. i'm not using claude code because i want to build file by file based on my architecture. nothing is so important i need 5 processes going at once. i'm still more efficient and can have a better QOL with £20 a month in tokens.

All strings should just be standard lengths.
s8: 8 byte string
s32: 32 byte string
s128: 128 byte string
thats it though, anything longer and you just have to use two of them.

Just change the debounce algorithm in the QMK firmware. It's not difficult. You could e.g. set it to 10ms sym_defer_pk, accept your 10ms of input lag (it's really not that noticeable), and now you have the kind of forever-reliable keyboard that used to be standard. The new gamer features are a non-mandatory trade-off.
>>
>>108416112
(Dropped inputs and "other issues" are more serious, but as far as I'm aware less common.)

I use a remote desktop over wifi at work.
It's 4K and a bit laggy but still perfectly usable.
>>
>>108415984
Twitch looks like shit.
You'd need a ~3 Gbps wireless link for 1920x1080 @ 60FPS with 24-bit color
1920x1080x60fpsx24bpp=/8/1024/1024= or 355MiB/s
No HDR (but that'd only be an extra 25%), only 1080p, only 60Hz. 3 Gbps.
4K, again at only 60 FPS and 8 bits per channel would be 12 Gbps.

You can have your 12 Mbps dogshit monitor stream. I'll stick to using DisplayPort.
>>
We tried to solve this problem for VR. The answer is that at high resolutions and refresh rates it's simply a FUCKTON of raw video data that wireless can't handle. VR has some ways to handle it like... not using lossless video so you get compression artifacts, or tracking the eye movements of the user to have higher-quality only where the user is looking.
>>
>>108416023
You could greatly diminish the bandwidth requirements (with huge caveats) for desktop use with some kind of clever lossless interframe compression.
>Lossless keyframe
>Interframes also lossless but only transmit changes
But even that would fall apart pretty quickly.
>Web browser UI, task bar, title bar, etc are all static
>20-ish% bandwidth saved
>Scroll website
>Bandwidth usage skyrockets
Or
>Drag window
>Suddenly hung Windows 95 desktop flashbacks
>>
>>108415994
480@24fps is enough for everything.
Op is right. we dont need cables anymore
