can you imagine if your IDE silently deleted the source files that weren't actively part of the build when closing the project? like, bruh, that would be so retarded hahahaha who in their right mind would do something like that hahahahahahaha

I'm sure the gay ass pink window texture you lost (because you're a faggot OP) deserved this gay thread filled with little baby crying. OP hears fire alarm beeps every 120 seconds.

Ironically, one of the few real uses for AI (which is good at sifting through datasets that are intractable for humans) would be finding patterns in health conditions correlating to environmental, lifestyle, diet, and family variables. Conceivably this could be used to improve health or determine treatment pathways, and put to rest the ambiguities of diet. But that wouldn't generate a profit so it won't be implemented. Instead we'll have people either hyper-diagnosing like they already do with Google or ignoring major symptoms because the AI matched them to similar benign conditions.
Okay, chuds. Can I ask Chat gpt or gemini to translate that decompiled Visual studio code into real functional SDL code?
The fuck is chuds?
>>107879333so? even if decoompiler randomly inserts goto's when he feels like it my point is about how trying to figure out code with goto's in it and without any comments and "self documenting" variable names will give you aneurysm

Years ago I built my dad a nice little pc with a 4th gen 65W i5, ltsc, gave him my old 2x8gb ddr3 ram, a cheap 128gb ssd, and some ancient 1gb vram amd card, and that damn thing is still going strong. It's as snappy as the day I built it, and he can even play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006) on it just fine

Why THE FUCK does AI use so much clean water daily?
>>107880732they didn't exactly make sure to put data centers where there will be actually more rain if the temperature average goes up
>>107875583lmao
>>107880293salt water fucks your shit up - it corrodes, leaves more scale and generally destroys cooling systems in fairly short order. Its kind of the same reason they need to keep adding new fresh water to cooling systems even when it hasn't evaporated, as the used water gets full of crap and has to be dumped after a few cycles. Only saltwater has added super corrosion powers. You would need to add a desalination plant, which is additional energy usage, which is back where we started. Basically you COULD do all of these things, just companies obviously want the path of least resistance and cost. The biggest single factor, for me, is allowing them to build data centers in the worst fucking places possible. This is just retarded and an additional permanent drain on already scarce resources.
Either way, fuck all AI shills

Why did people hate it?
>>107873320I was like 6 or 7 when it came out and the reason why I disliked it didn't look "normal" and I wanted the cooler look back. I didn't like Windows 7 back then for the same reason but the design grew on me. Didn't really have a chance to hate Vista personally, but dad would tell about the rest of the issues and why we ended up back on XP again until 7 came out. I'm weird I hated the OS based on how it looked rather than functioned back then, Windows 10 was the first time I hated a specific OS
>>107880338windows 7 had that fuck huge taskbar and looked like shit when you shrunk it, they intentionally made the window borders look like ass if you didnt have aero. vista at least still looked pleasant without aero enabled
>>107876947>this neglects the mention that at the same time nvida sold a bunch of garbage video cards to dell and others that exemplified the shortfallsnvidia also flat out did not release drivers for some of their hardware. I had to try updating a lot of nForce 3 boards which either did not work on Vista at all, or worked but was not stable, depending on whether you used an Athlon 64 vs 64 X2, or a Geforce card vs Ati Radeon card. If you used a Geforce and an Athlon 64, you could kinda hack it to work by forcing the Windows XP drivers, but even that was only possible after the Vista installer blue screened a few times. This was a big issue because nforce 3 boards were VERY popular and allowed you to use very powerful hardware for the time.If you had anything from Core 2 Duo & up, Vista worked fine.

VR was supposed to replace smartphonesWhy didn't that happen?
>>107877608No killer app
>>107877608VR has proven itself the ultimate venus fly trap for otherwise very smart programmers.
Literally hundreds of millions of people in the fitness space want AR heads up display glasses that organize and display and record GPS data, vitals, and training splits. That's literally ALL it has to do. Display text and maybe a simple scatterplot in front of your fucking face without blinding you to your surroundings or weighing 800lbs. Nobody wants VR for anything except beatsaber clones. Nobody is going to pay $1,000 for "VR front row" tickets to a concert. "VR education" is a dead and worthless space milking money out of retard investors who have never put on a headset.

whats the best mouse ever?
>>107855340it's ok.>>107855666This is perfection. The only thing that would make it 100% perfect is if it was wireless with a rechargable battery. I use this one now. PIPER has me able to use it on Linux. The layout is perfect for browsing if set G6 and G7 to Left and Right arrows and now I can skip in videos perfectly. Fuck, even the price when it dropped was perfection! It was like $20. Every PC game (except maybe MMOs) is perfect with it. FPS? All actions can be bound to the mouse. ARPG? Perfect number of buttons. Strategy? Can play it without touching the keyboard. And what did logitch do after perfecting the 9 button mouse? DISCONTINUED TO PUSH SUBSCRIPTION SOFTWARE SLOPMan fuck Logitech, they gave us perfection then ripped it away to sell netflix subscription mouses.
I still use my mx510 from 2004
>>107855985>he games with completely avoidable wireless latency >he has to const stay charge his mouse or buy batteries Are you still in high school or something
>>107862224I love the form factor but the sensor is worse that any 10 usd chink, the rubber body gets super dirty super fast, and it double clicks after a year. It has been replaced by the Keychron M6 8k which has the same form but an improvement on everything else.
Of all time, I'd have to say the Zowie EC, they're still getting cloned today and they're just good for everything. I prefer the Razer Deathadder V3 Pro over it these days, for the better build quality and significantly better scroll wheel. I also really like my Pulsar Xlite V3 Large, I wish Razer would do an EC1 clone but I don't think they will.
