More than half the sites online aren't worth using to begin with.
>>
>>107582667
What do you mean by that? You can't visit half the sites online at all due to IP blocks? Or that you can visit sites but can't make accounts, post and interact with them?
>>
>>107582667
That just proves that Mullvad is good for privacy.

You get CloudFlare checked at half the websites on the internet, some sites prevent logging in, some sites prevent using _without_ logging in, some sites just refuse to serve content altogether.

database constraints are a pain for migrations and are never enough, you usually end with complex business logic that the database can't enforce. Plus, you are mixing up responsibilities. Checks should be the responsibility of the business layer. Despite SQL having checks you shouldn't use them at all besides unique and foreign keys.

I don't know where you're from but in Germany they also require age verification for anything vape related.
And I just buy my stuff from ebay and they have that thing with DHL where the mailman verifies your age when he delivers it.
>>
>>107583290
I'm in US. eBay banned vape related items in US some time ago. I thought it was a worldwide policy. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Geekvape, Joyetech, can't remember which others.

Virtual card probably. I prefer not to submit an ID to buy something online out of principle as well as for practical reasons, I get what you're saying, though.
>>
>still using a slightly busted OBS cube mini and nic juice last bought 5-7 years ago
The coil has been changed a time or two and the tank gets a full cleaning on occasion. Is there any actual risk to this or am I clear not burning money in a post-vapes dot com world?
>>
>>107583649
Joytech didn't list US as a destination once I'd populated a cart... but functionally, that can get re-shipped easy enough. UK => US postage a bit rapey usually....

https://store.geekvape.com
however listed me prices in $.. can't confess to being hot on US states, but a casual glance them was all in there...
>>
>>107584644
Yeah, I think reshipping service would be prohitively expensive, but I'll look into it more.
I'll try geekvape again; didn't see my state in the options previously.
Do you think the Legend 5 kit is a good choice for someone that's only ever used Joyetech Ego AIO with 0.5 ohm Cubis coil?

HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers

Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal

I'm a digital hoarder. My bookmarks span into the tens of thousands even though I rarely bookmark individual pages (as opposed to just the main page). I want to better organize this stuff, but all the bookmark organizing software I've looked at seems bloated and overengineered as fuck, and that's before AI getting added into everything. Do I really need to self-host this stuff? Can't it just work as an extension or regular offline program? Does anyone have any experience with any of this software?

The thing is you never need a database. I do, for maintaining massive soul archives. A local search function for your devices works well enough just for the text data, my work is effectively creating a secondary off-site index of your personal "data" (Bookmark::Service).

Since your behavior is organic, this means you have effective immortality and unique freedom.
>>
>>107584216
You into Ray Charles, dog?
>>
dunno I have 10 bookmarks in total kek
but I would do this
a) download the exported file of your bookmarks, it should have data about: links+description+date added+folder name
b) ask claude to vibecode a tool that converts that data in markdown format
c) ask claude to vibecode a tool that given that markdown file will build an html page. It should separate links by folder name. Ask to build at the top a search bar that will hide the unrelated shit while you type. Ask to build filters to hide elements that are older or newer of a date or inside or outside a daterange.
Done,when you find a new webpage to bookmark add it to the markdown file, and use the tool again to rebuild the html
Put the markdown on google drive and you get to have your bookmarks on mobile too

>>107580264

Super Flower has very limited "official" presence in the English-speaking spheres of the world as of 2021, though it may have changed since then, and their warranty process may only be initiated through the retailer from which you purchased their unit, i.e. if you need to warranty your PSU for any reason you can only do it through Amazon or Newegg (if you're in the US).
If you're not in the US, then maybe that won't be an issue.

why don't you see more people attempting to utilize this feature on their personal computers? you can essentially lock down your entire C: drive so that changes to the filesystem are saved ephemerally and lost on reboot, and then manually create exceptions for directories that need persistent changes.
with that plus a data drive you basically get all the benefits of an immutable system that nixos and silverblue are targeting.
i can install applications/games via scoop and use my desktop as normally, save pictures, do my work, etc. but the core windows installation essentially exists in a frozen state. changes to C: are saved either in ram or another location on disk and then scrubbed at boot.
why don't i see people trying to leverage this for home use cases? is it just because it's a command-line tool?
>>
>>107584129

>>
>>107584168
you can turn it off and on as needed. so for updates or changes you just turn it off, run the update, and turn it back on. it requires some rebooting but the advantage is also more deliberate updating. kind of ideal if you plan to update infrequently.
>>107584213
i'd assume but i'm talking about people on /g/ not windows users at large. i thought most of you are running iot ltsc.
>>107584280
well then stay where you are. i use nixos on all my other machines. i discovered this while trying to make a windows computer i need to use as nixos-like as possible.
it's not atomic, or entirely reproducible, configurations aren't declarative. but i can do a fresh unattented windows install, use winget to import a list of programs to install, and then run a powershell script that freezes windows after i get it set up how i like it.
accomplishing this with a variety of awful microsoft tools makes me appreciate how elegantly nixos handles things that's for sure.

We were talking about Rust.
If you willingly choose to use Zig, you should be PROUD of having to write something very explicit like
    var i: usize = 100;
i -= 1;
while (true) {
// do something
if (i == 0) break;
i -= 1;
