Client side rendering without Javascript. I learnt it it about 18 years ago.

>without javascript
because it's about ten times worse than javascript. which is a low bar in the first place.
>>
>>107597302
Don't really care for this particular technology but still smell the neovagina rotting on the other side of screen when terms "complex, aging C codebase" and "memory safety" was being brought up
If it was Written In Rust™ the trannies would be pushing XSLT as the best technology to ever exist with no faults whatsoever

there is also other stuff than just having to include a larger font for your device just to connect to wifi but things that you dont understand about that they're not just characters you now how to think about variable width multi byte character sets and the fact that many emojis are actually combinations of different emoji characters joined by invisible joiner character and then its supposed to show up still as one emoji

it really is a mess that has no place in being something that can be as critical as wifi networking
just so few trannies can have a few laughs, everyone else is left picking up the pieces and doing all the work that it creates

thats also bad in this because there are so many troons in the internet now who get political about everything they chime in things they never have to themselves deal with nor understand what the problems are
>>
>>107597253
right. they're just characters. you don't even have to include a font that supports emoji. what about unicode? you can put unicode in a ssid. it's stupid to get mad about this. the ssid supports a number of bytes. if you use multibyte characters it just eats more of the space per visible character. no big deal.
>>
>>107597287
you still don't understand what you're talking about
yes the IETF made an error not specifying the characters set and just saying "32 bytes"
but it is common that even in abscence of defined standard people follow precedent and what makes sense which was ascii for the longest time

>they're just characters
man, you're retarded. go write a library that draws a font on the screen from scratch and come back
why it is that both browns and troons are always so confident talking about things they dont know about?! its very strange as a normal person to see this, i only talk confidently about things i actually know
>>
>>107597345
dude, it's 2025. most embedded stuff has an app or is configured over serial. if it does have some shitty lcd glued to it, just put up a square for anything you can't draw and let the user select it. you're just being retarded and are frustrated because you know you're wrong.
>>
>>107597382
yeah drawing squares instead of emojis would be the way to do it to not have to support them
so now we are back at the point they shouldn't have been there in the first place so everything is always supported properly
you dont have to shove emojis into essential shit where it doesnt belong

I have the Q6 Max, it was double typing for the longest time even after swapping it (I exchanged it). The last firmware seems to fix it but it also set the debounce to 50ms, I haven't tried shortening it since the typing is fine now for me. But this suggests some sort of issue with the board maybe?
