US moves to bar CHIPS Act recipients from purchasing Chinese chipmaking equipment for 10 years in November.
US also tighten their export control, causing CXMT expansion to cut short.
Both CXMT and YMTC might be fully banned soon, they are still allowed to work with other companies and supply their memory for chinese market for now, this could soon change.

Thing is. It's not just china.

You probably fucked up.

>however he's too incompetent to understand that this isn't effective
You're too incompetent to understand there's no way this actually works out 'good' for you. Even if the 'the rest of the world joins in'.

You've not done the math on what it'll cost to spin up the manufacturing base - which is all planned to be dark factories, btw, so moar jeets and no jerbs - and what that'll do to the costs? Including the cost of establishing and operating supply chains.

This will only increase Chinese manufacturing, by driving them to become more and more independent from the evil globalist system.

And then China will invade Taiwan on 2027, which will result in more sanctions cutting the West off from even more of the supply.

These are CPUs that run as fast as an analog circuit for the most part. They don't clock and step with other CPUs except for specialized purposes like IO. They are of course a million times faster and use a fraction of the electricity.

We do have those, xilinx sells them, we use them where I work. They plug into a PCI(e) slot like a GPU. You can also by development board with a general-purpose ARM cpu with an FPGA soldered onto it.

ok, let's see you give it the same general purpose workload that those Intel/AMD CPUs could handle

It's an entirely different computer, not designed for that.

How about this - make an Intel/AMD CPU run ANYTHING that fast. You can't.

Damn. Intel and AMD and other chipmakers could be making chips a million times faster, BUT they don't want to use FORTH microcode. Oh well.

because it gives you a compile time guarantee that you will not change its value by mistake. saying "just don't fuck up" is not an argument.
>make it into a new function
now that is more complicated for little benefit. the lambda makes it compact and inline. all the code stays within your view.
>>

>>
>>107576531
write the code you want. optimizers only do a limited amount of work. when the function is small, they can figure out how to turn the code you wrote into the code you want. as the function grows, the amount of work required goes up, until it crosses a threshold beyond which the optimizer gives up. and performance goes to the shitter. so write code that is as close as possible to what you expect the optimizer to gen. deviations should only be for extremely local things. eg you don't have to write your divs by a constant as muls and shifts, the optimizer can always figure that out. but if the constant gets passes a million times as a variable assume the optimizer won't be able to figure out it's a constant and act accordingly.
