>So you're not looking at the user's arguments in their own right?
Can you provision evidence I did not?
I can provision evidence a frogposter made post containing zero argument and highlighted themselves unable to think through the premise they initially forwarded.

>Logical fallacies such as these are far worthier of automatic dismissal than some choice of cartoon.
If indeed, it was a logical fallacy, you may have a point.
But as you cannot think through the premise to it's logical conclusion before you hit 'enter', you have a folder full of frogmeme. And it has value to you.

This is one of many reasons why people should keep all of their old devices instead of throwing them out. Another thing people should be doing is writing down the mac address of any broken devices they plan on throwing out, the mac addresses can be used for mac spoofing when needed. For extra security, make sure that all of the device's mac address stickers and etchings are completely unreadable before you throw it out:

>Plastic etchings
Use acetone to melt the mac address.
>Metal etchings
Use a hammer and nail to make scratches and indentations on the mac address etchings, then use a soldering iron and some solder to attach a small piece of metal to it.
>Stickers
Peel off the sticker(s) and use scissors to cut them into tiny pieces, then soak the pieces in bleach (or acetone) until the text is completely gone. Flush them down the toilet afterwards.

This prevents dumpster divers from retrieving and using the same mac address. For maximum security, make sure to completely destroy the circuits on the wireless module so that the glowies won't be able to retrieve the mac address from the chips. Desoldering the chips from the wireless module and crushing them with a hammer is the most secure solution.

RUSSIA is doing it because they are a despotic empire.

if you're just doing the two domains you can get two certs instead of domain + wildcard. It does that through your webserver instead of dns records. It's still all automated but you'll have to repeat the process if you add another subdomain.

I'm a digital hoarder. My bookmarks span into the tens of thousands even though I rarely bookmark individual pages (as opposed to just the main page). I want to better organize this stuff, but all the bookmark organizing software I've looked at seems bloated and overengineered as fuck, and that's before AI getting added into everything. Do I really need to self-host this stuff? Can't it just work as an extension or regular offline program? Does anyone have any experience with any of this software?

You into Ray Charles, dog?
>>
dunno I have 10 bookmarks in total kek
but I would do this
a) download the exported file of your bookmarks, it should have data about: links+description+date added+folder name
b) ask claude to vibecode a tool that converts that data in markdown format
c) ask claude to vibecode a tool that given that markdown file will build an html page. It should separate links by folder name. Ask to build at the top a search bar that will hide the unrelated shit while you type. Ask to build filters to hide elements that are older or newer of a date or inside or outside a daterange.
Done, when you find a new webpage to bookmark add it to the markdown file, and use the tool again to rebuild the html
Put the markdown on google drive and you get to have your bookmarks on mobile too

>>107580264

A lot of people are incapable of imagining that anything could be different outside their experience

Google anti adblock measures have doing partial rollouts for awhile now. Like Google will do some anti adblock rollout that will only target a few users then Google goes quiet and does more testing before another partial rollout

But average "power user" that knows how to click thing will constantly remind you that it works him

>be me

It's actually done and not just another vaporware project.

Here's the deal:

E2EE by default. Server is a dumb relay, zero-knowledge on your shit.
Proper crypto. Not just crypto.js from a 2016 tutorial. It uses SRP for auth, X3DH for session init, and Double Ratchet for PFS. If you know, you know.
Multi-device. Keys are deterministically derived from a master seed (BIP-39/DiceKey), so you can get your chats on a new device without scanning a million QR codes.
Burn after reading. Self-destructing messages. Standard stuff.
Time-locked messages. This is the cool part. You can send a message that can't be opened until a specific time. The unlock time is secured by a blockchain timestamp, so you can't cheat it by changing your system clock. It's immutable.
P2P mode. If you can, it goes direct. If not, it uses the relay.

Cool concept. I'd like to see an in-depth independent security audit of it at some point, but since it's new, that obviously won't be out for a while.

Looking at your feature roadmap, it looks like you don't have group chats yet, but that this is planned. This is good to see, since I know plenty of folks who use encrypted messengers for group chats. I also see post-quantum is planned as well. This would put you on par with SimpleX, which seems to be the only worthwhile messenger that actually cares about that.

>AES GCM
Signal recommends AES-CBC or AES-SIV because key-IV reuse is catastrophic for AES-GCM.

>ENCRYPT(mk, plaintext, associated_data): This function is recommended to be implemented with an AEAD encryption scheme based on either SIV or a composition of CBC with HMAC [5], [14]. These schemes provide some misuse-resistance in case a key is mistakenly used multiple times.
