when I was a kid, I made a folder with 15 shortcuts to the same folder and one genuine folder among them. Inside the genuine folder I put 15 shortcuts to the original folder and one genuine folder amongst them, and so on until 10 folders deep.
Inside the innermost folder I kept my shit that I wanted to keep hidden from my parents.

Fucking prude.
Porn that is awkwardly bolted onto another type of game (e.g. those bog-standard incredibly dull RPGs from RPGMaker) is bad, but "porn games" actually about porn and that's the whole reason you're there hits different.
If it's not your thing, just don't play them.
>>
>>107556076
I'm not a prude, there's just no reason to put sex into everything

>>107556204

That's like porn photographs shouldn't exist, because other photographs don't need porn in them.
>>
>>107556219

I've actually had this discussion a fair bit in other places. I do see your point, a lot of it is handled very weirdly.
"Hey you beat this bejewelled level, here's some tits": the awkward bolting on I was saying.

But when you get to the more visual novel-like games is where it shines, but not just limited to the traditional types of VNs. Actually controlling and doing something elevates it above things you can't get in any other medium.

I had a shitty cable set-up which would sometimes make my chair catch the cable and pull my headphones and drop them to the ground and I never could be bothered to fix it. They fell one too many times and ended up with both hinges getting broken to the point that taping correctly it's impossible. Yes I deserved that for not bothering with fixing it, I learned my lesson and I will treat next ones with proper respect.
I see I see.
I don't think I listen to music that loud, I have been using Porta Pro while commuting for almost 3 years and so far I never heard anyone complaining about the noise and I won't believe nobody could be bothered considering to what I usually listen

Thank you for your advice everyone!

>nursing
Is this a joke?
Most who get into nursing do so because they care about the wellbeing of others, and the healthcare sector is fully aware this so they're always trying to take advantag of it for the sake of cost cutting. eg.
>hiring an inadequate number of staff because they know you'll work harder to cover the shortfall, pushing nurse:patient ratios ever higher
>rampant wage theft by the way of nurses working tons of unpaid overtime
>hiring immigrants or the underqualified in order to suppress wages, because nurses value their job satisfaction and will just work harder to pick up the slack
/g/ complains about Pajeets flooding the tech industry and being mostly terrible at their jobs, but it's more or less the same that's occuring with hospitals and nursing home staffing (alternatively, the ones that get a visa but can't afford a bridging course or who don't have any relevant qualifications often become unqualified carers).

Do not become a nurse for the money, as with anywhere at the moment management are crooked and it's a breakneck race to the fucking bottom.

There's too many people in the world. Plagues and wars were actually good because they kept human value inflation low. Back in the day companies had to scout fresh grads from universities to get fresh talent, the internet had a role in screwing up that too but the point stands. In 30 years the US population went from 249million to 342million. The whole world went from 5.2bn to 8.2bn. If you die today there's thousands of people ready to take your place and it'd be like nothing happened, that's why you feel worthless. The solution? No idea, I don't blame those neetmaxxing.

I used a Galaxy S4 from 2014 to 2020 and the only problem I encountered was RAM wasn't really enough near the end and it meant I could only reliably use one app at a time. That's it. No other complaints. I actually kinda miss it and wish there was a modernized version of it.

You just transpile into a HolyC not a pure C

I love this argument, it always out whoever is making it as a midwit who doesn't know how to write optimal C.
>>
>>107555346
>take this rust function
which crate did you copy this from?
>>
>>107555346
There are different levels of transpiling to other languages. You either naively just map language construct to language construct, or you actually build a real compiler, and the output just happens in to be C, rather than LLVM IR/assembly. You simply just wouldn't rely on C to do TCO and emit different code.
>>
>>107555999
And it's still easier to just emit C than build your own compiler.

In guile you can treat arrays as pointers with bytevector->pointer/pointer->bytevector to trade binary blobs with c libraries

what if companies are mass buying hardware not only because of AI, but to push people into a cloud ecosystem in the future?

imagine a future where most consumer hardware can only run a browser and very lightweight stuff, and the rest needs to be done though cloud services

You are making a lot of sense right now.

They have already made people dependent on phones, devices with the highest level of abstraction and control, and now they are forcing a scarcity of valuable hardware.

I really despise these people.

I used a kindle for a few years and it's great, but last year got an ipad and I don't see myself getting going back to an ereader, specially if it doesn't have an OS that lets you use online manga apps
Obviously the eink is nice, but ereaders tend to be small and low resolution unless you spend hundreds, and at that point you might as well get a tablet that can do other stuff
Also got a pocket bluetooth controller so I can flip pages in more comfortable positions on the bed
>>
>>107555947
Why not get an e-ink tablet?
iPads only have 264ppi, notably below the 300ppi that have become ubiquitous for e-ink.
