Why haven't MS and Google come up with a simple solution like Airdrop to share files with other PC's/Cellphones ? They've had 15 years!

I use KDE and I honestly wish it was better.
It constantly fails to show paired stuff and I usually have to restart it on both devices before sending files. I use it on Windows (desktop + laptop) and android (pixel + chinkheld).
Sometimes I send files to my gf's iPad, but airdrop is obviously much better if you're only using apple shit.

I wish there was a universal airdrop alternative that's pushed by Microsoft and adopted by Google

do woman think its sexy when a man owns a high end GPU like a 4090/5090?
2 replies omitted. Click here to view.

First they would need to know what is a GPU. But before you are done explaining, they would be gone browsing some social media on their smartphone and forget that you were talking.
>>
>>106536809
Women don't know what a 4090/5090 is and they don't care because they have to spend money on other things.

>But before you are done explaining, they would be gone browsing some social media on their smartphone and forget that you were talking.
This hits too close to home. I have lost track of the number of times you would try to explain something simple to a woman, and she'd either lose interest or panic immediately and angrily walk away to do something else barely even a sentence in.

>30% of Microsoft code is written by AI

>"I'd say maybe 20%, 30% of the code that is inside of our repos today and some of our projects are probably all written by software,"

>Google CEO Sundar Pichai in October said that more than 25% of new code was written by AI. Earlier this month, Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke told employees that they will have to prove AI cannot do a job before asking for more headcount. Similarly, Duolingo CEO Luis von Ahn on Monday announced in a memo that the language-teaching company will gradually turn to AI in lieu of human contractors.

Is this true?

At least the zoomers will stop becoming programmers and/or AI rot their brain so much that they're useless and never learned their craft. Well possible that the old man they laughed at will save their lives with a single bash command!

I'm a coward and a nervous wreck that is already autistic enough to go beyond just using the Dell support app. If anything happens after opening up my laptap, I will hate myself forever.

Can't I just look at what driver I currently have installed and compare that to whatever Dell says that driver is for?

I've got an old win7 PC and it suddenly switched off. When I try to boot it I'm hearing 4 bleeps at 2 second intervals and the monitor screen in sleep mode.
It has been going into sleep mode regularly for weeks now upon booting but nothing like this. I can't even get it to boot up.
Any advice how to fix??

OLED for mobile devices is good if they're actually used as such.

I wanna build a board like 4chan but for Christian discussions only. If I am just to get started I will probably deploy web front end on a free platform and the servers at home for now. Ill probably just build a new desktop and install Debian on it so it will run a few docker instances of a database and maybe Java or NodeJS backend to generate ids, confirm upload file formatting, generate captchas. I know how most of full stack works but dont have much experience with running multiple servers at once for the same front end.

Is it a common practice to run load balancer on multiple docker instances on the same machine with a powerful processor? Should I invest in AWS or buy a small server rack instead?

No, that makes it inferior
Just like there have been 1000 attempts to make a programming language that's not based on plain text files, and all of them failed and are awful to use

In any case error handling is for the user to handle just like you do in libc.
Stop embarassing yourself and go program.
>>
>>106537611
libc handles syscall errors internally
>>
>>106529425
nta, but the ABI is not just syscalls, you don't know what you're talking about. Ever heard of dynamic linking? Ever heard of calling conventions? Ever heard of program loading? Program loading and parsing is defined by the binary format, which is compiler independent, but dynamic linking and calling conventions are absolutely coupled to the compiler, and since the first compiler used in the construction of any modern system has been the C compiler, those parts of the ABIs are defined by C. This makes it almost impossible to entirely get rid of C as a whole, unless you write an entirely new OS in an entirely different language.

If you only ever have to run on a lab PC or HPC, you can just load more cores and memory and charge it to whatever grant program the lab has. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC7891784/

Also, these are biologists, they flunked out of anything higher than calculus and probably have no clue what a compiler is. What would u suggest them to use?

Get a new PC just for vidya if you are unironically going to install kernel malware on it
Make sure that the motherboard supports tpm 2.0
>>
>>106538674
I would select the PTT, since that is what you are to enable. Take it slow, though, and just turn that on, reboot, and see if the problem persists. If it does, dive deeper into your BIOS and enable other related options.
>>
>>106538543

i'm pretty sure that platform didn't have fTPM built into the cpu, so you need to physically buy a tpm module and install it into the motherboard

My guess is that he would be a hacker for work but also live off grid with minimal possessions.
The problem with that is that he hacking benefits from computer power, reliable electricity and internet.
