What is the optimal monitor size for a 1 display pc? What is the lowest in size/monitor you would go for?
6 replies and 2 images omitted. Click here to view.

If I had to just 1 monitor, probably 32" at 1920x1200 resolution
>>
>>107836102
27 inch 1440p seems plenty
Large enough that it feels large
Resolution means you can fit two web browsers side by side
Looks sharp at arm's length

depends on what you're doing. if all you do is vidya and or shitposting, a 24 inch is plenty. but, if you're heavy into multitasking, you need at least 34 inch with a DE that supports tiling
>>
>>107836102

24" is perfect, 27" is pushing it. Anything above these is not good.

its (achshully) some 3rd party recruiter site, however the UK Government Official Ministry of Justice does indeed forward their employment candidates to it. As to why this is still the case, 4 months after another Govt Dept chased imgur.com from these isles and no-one has noticed, who the fuck knows. Candidates with VPN would benefit, but its probably still all nepotism hires regardless.

Did private equity take them over? This is usually what PE does to companies. They are modern day pirates. They go in to a company that is doing relatively well, then run it into the ground while taking massive short positions and taking out massive loans that are unpayable. Once the company goes into bankruptcy and the stock is delisted (cellarboxed) it's curtains for that company. It gets sold off for pennis to their friends. Profiting all the way down.

>>107838419
There's nothing inherently "minimalist" about Arch. You're simply expected to know how to configure your system. Nothing "should" be installed by default except what's required to boot the system. That isn't "minimalism," it's giving you control of your system, which is the entire point. You're free to make your Arch install as light or heavy as you wish. If you want automatic mirror selection, you install it. If you don't, you don't. It's not a complex concept.

If it was only those with terminal diseases (like they promised when they started the program) then why do they keep expanding the scope of the program? They now consider you eligible if you have fatal diseases such as "depression", or if you're on any government assistance program. They've also expanded age eligibility all the way up to 'emancipated minors'. It's not about letting those dying of bone cancer go out peacefully on their own terms. It's about making people depressed, unable to find a job or a significant other or any hope, and then telling them this is the only way out.
Multiple times the program has been publicly blasted for unsolicitedly offering government-assisted suicide over any other forms of assistance - one was a disabled military veteran looking for assistance with installing a lift chair to the second story of their home, another was an older woman in good health but on rent assistance and the place she was living in was full of mold. For both people, when they called in to talk to someone who was supposed to help, they were transferred to a doctor who encouraged them to use the government assisted suicide program.

the content of the parentheses should act as a modifier of the number right before it instead of being treated like a number on its own, it's just way more elegant and makes more sense from a logical perspective

yeah it seems obvious that when the multiplication symbol is omitted and two symbols (or numbers) are smashed together then the multiplication should happen first.

>There's obviously infinite more possibility that this produces something, than not doing it at all.
Is that "something" worth all the investment?
The biggest issue I have with AI is that it's expenses are increasingly running away from the revenue being brought in.
Just for AI companies to break even on current and future investments requires the most optimistic outcome.

This isn't just a few million to keep the lights on at a food delivery startup while they gather a base. This is billions and billions, economy disrupting billions.
All this shit needs to be clawed back at some point and I doubt the VC money can flow in forever.
Even now I'm only convinced nothing has happened yet because too many will be hurt when/if it does fail
>>
>>107838996
It's smoke and mirrors and everybody with two brain cells knows it is, but there's nothing else holding the states together. Look behind the curtain and multiple industries are in free fall. Big companies are running out of their pre-tariff back stock and are just coasting until midterms. If the tariffs are upheld buckle up.

>>107838655
Peoples needs are different. If you need a laptop you can sometimes draw on the surface is okay. If you want a dedicated drawing device very few people will suggest it since it was never produced as one. It's small, inefficient, and windows gets worse every quarter.
>>
>>107837755
Didn't Samsung also license the Wacom tech for their S-pens? Wonder if they're compatible.

the standard is pretty much the ipad (pro) with the pencil followed by those dedicated portables like wacom movink or the chinese knockoffs from huion/xp pen etc, buy ones from last year to now only, older ones are bad
then samshit tablets with s-pen, mostly because lagdroid lol
avoid any microshit surface, garbage devices for this purpose and bad devices overall

>>107816536
The most expensive I own is a Feenix Autore. but I only paid $50 for it. The metallized keycaps are cool but I don't use it because it's mxbrownslop.

The most money I ever spent on a board is $80 for a keychron somethingorother that I also don't use.

My daily driver is a corsair K70 that I bought for $15 on ebay and swapped all the switches for box navies. I unironically like the shitty ABS keycaps.
>>
>>107837726
Not nearly as low profile as those switches, also I don't know how well split ergo would translate to higher typing speed, if you haven't used ergo it takes a while to get used to and almost everyone I've seen has to work back up to their normal WPM. If you're really set on it that's on you to bite the bullet I guess.
As you can see in that video... it's really just an end user issue, rather than the hardware after a certain point. Like the moment you get 1000hz and mid-press actuation you're already basically set.
>>107838286
And here comes the coping faggotry.
I already know about rapid fire, it doesn't change the fact that the world record for WPM ignores that shit entirely by
>setting his actuation at or even lower than the MX standard actuation points
>his fingers come all the way up anyway
As I said, you troons cope sooo hard and think you can feather your fingers 0.01mm while typing at speed, not true. Go watch that video again and listen to how he is fuckin' SLAMMIN' the shit out of those keys. You're just a hypebeast subhuman who wants to write of any and all valid criticism as "muh fuckin' luddites n sheiiiiiiiiiit", which is ironic because analog input on keyboards is not new. It is, however, the newest gimmick gayming companies convince dipshits like you to get because you think your hardware.
>uses 3.2mm actuation on Shift keys
Like... lol... analogfags are such jokes.
>b-b-but
Do you type at 300wpm? Nope. That dude was using normal ass Brown switches before in 2021 and 2022 and was still typing at around 230wpm average btw, and only stopped using it because his keycaps faded.
>>
>>107838286
>>107838711
Oh, and you wanna know an even simpler reason why rapid trigger* is fucking useless for typing? Because... you are not keeping your fingers on the same exact keys when typing, with any typing form because... you only have 10 digits, retard. Two of which are preoccupied on the spacebar only, so actually 8 that can hit alphas and mods.
Even for gayming its only real proper use is rhythm games as a tiny form of assurance.
>>
>>107838734
>Even for gayming its only real proper use is rhythm games as a tiny form of assurance.
I do just want the best keyboard for rhythm games, not just for OSU! but 6-8k games like EZ2ON Reboot R and PROJEKT GODHAND. I simply dislike how most if not all mechanical keyboards put up a bit of resistance against my fingers making key presses not feel very seamless.
I've never tried a low profile mechanical keyboard before, mainly because they never get talked about. But I do enjoy typing on a laptop keyboard significantly more than all the others non-ergo ones I've owned.
Part of the issue is I have small hands so I prefer sensitive switches that I can subtly press without applying force to it, so I don't have to reach further to apply the extra pressure. I spent over $600 on a custom made dactyl manuform that lets me type quickly without moving my hands and it's the best thing ever. But I want a regular 65-75% keyboard with arrow keys for gaming.
>>
>>107838935
you might just want some regular speed silvers
