Has anyone here ever been headhunted by very early stage startups before? I've been getting a lot of emails from random mid-tier companies to be a senior but I generally ignore them cause they're sketchy and want me to do like 5 rounds of bullshit interviews for a job that pays less than my current one. But just now this "executive headhunter" is asking if I essentially want to be head of engineering for this early stage startup. I'm kind of skeptical that this isn't a scam but they have a website and linkedin and everything, but it still feels weird since usually these random headhunters care a lot about years of experience. I have about 5-6YOE at FAANGMULA+ type companies, but normies usually worship just number of years rather than how "hard" your company is, hence why I'm skeptical
The salary will probably be trash at this startup and I'm not sure what questions to ask to ensure they dont dilute my shares and screw me over later on

After almost 4 years of trying to force myself to succeed in another career field I hated, I'm trying to go pro with my hobby computer stuff because it's the first thing in my life I'm passionate about and people

The general job of "computer programmer" seems to be shrinking and paid less. The specialty ones like cyber security are growing more and paid more.
