You don't have a gf and just do stuff 24/7, including weekends.
I used to do that, now I unfortunately have a gf and can only do this on the weekdays.

Working in tech has made me a better problem solver so I'm not regretful but I feel like I've done all I set out to do. I've realized there's more currency than cash. Experiences and socializing is king. Spending 40 years slaving away on meaningless problems on a box in a corporate rat race so a number in an account goes up is guaranteed misery. Not like I really care about money anyway I live modestly and don't have any hobbies that cost more than $50 a month if that. The only thing that holds me back is the effort and debt to change careers. Once you get settled in a field, it seems like such a massive pain in the ass to throw it all away and start over

Always pushing some bullshit framework with 1 million layers of complexity to solve problems that were never a problem to begin with. Where does this value come from? Oh it's a property. Where is that property from? Oh it's passed in from 4 layers of components. Where does the parent component get it from? Oh that's a data provider. Where's the data provider get it from? Oh that's our rest client that reaches to the backend service. Where's that service get it from? Oh that's from our factory provider that does dependency injection to provide the right client at request time. What does all of this do? We put data into a form field and center a div.

now I'm kind of spooked, I legit have not done a single thing in the past 8 months except bullshit a little here and there, I know my manager hates me, and this bitch is mega-lying, HR did not ask her

of course I'm not scared of being fired, I've been waiting for it, but can they somehow take me to court? (I imagine not)
also odds they can see what I've been doing? I've had a hardware mouse jiggler for the teams status, I made friends with IT a while ago and they told me they can only see the websites I visit, not what I'm doing.

if they can't prove that I've done nothing they can't go after me for fraud, could it be they're just amassing internal evidence to fire me? My contract expires in a month, I don't know why they'd bother ...

>Until then, however, the sword of Damocles of a later deanonymization of all transactions carried out up to that point will hang over Monero, especially since it is not known how the above-mentioned deanonymization was actually carried out in Japan.

...k, how could monero be broken then?

>In any case, Chainalysis claims to have found a method for deanonymizing Monero transactions. A leak reveals that a multiple approach is used by utilizing both on-chain and off-chain data. Poisoned nodes are used as well as the analysis of transaction patterns. This shows once again how important it is not to rely on third-party nodes, but to operate your own.

lmfao imagine not running your own node. "transaction patterns" could mean correlating transactions from a monero chian to/from a less secure chain (e.g. btc). in other words, using the tech like a fucking retard.

>The question of whether the deanonymizations in Japan are merely due to user misconduct or whether an actual deanonymization has taken place remains unanswered, but leaves a certain amount of uncertainty for all Monero users.

And yes, that is also what makes him a bad president.

The plan for round 2 seem to be blatantly to pick people who will do a lot, because they want to, so Donald can fuck off and play Golf instead.

Did I claim that I personally can crack sha-256? I'm just telling you that it's retarded to think that the agency tasked with spying on the American public gifted you an algorithm that makes their job more difficult without some way of side stepping it. Who contributes to the implementation of those algorithms? Who wrote the kernel you ran it on? Who builds your hardware? Exploits don't need to exist in the algorithm itself if everything from software down to metal is already compromised.
You sound nervous. Are the feds outside your window right now?

I feel you Anon.
Did you try to talk to her?
Like, you need some sleep and you are an adult now, so you know how to manage your time and when to wake up?
As for your own house/appartement, depens on your country. Usualy, if you can stay with your parents until you save enough to buy, that's better.
But also, if you have enough to buy the house, negociate with your banker.
Take a credit with low fees and place your money.
This way, you both have your flat and keep most of your money (with interest).
Buying the whole house upfront is not that of a great idea if you can have both good interest rates on the loan (low interest) and good interests on your saving (high interests).
But don't take my word for it, use any spreadsheet and simulate the next ten years for both situations.

no one reads commit messages basically ever
git doesn't really support the sort of workflow that people pretend structured commits simplify, bisect basically never works in real projects, cherry picking and modifying from history almost always leads to wonky state and merge conflicts and 99% of the time you might as well just edit the shit you need to change yourself without relying on your VCS to hack your way through it
the only kind of okay argument for it is blame stuff being a little better but let's be honest people only use blaming to curse at other devs and basically nothing else useful
it will probably get squashed into the PR name either way so who gives a fuck? unless you DON'T squash and then.. why? when you're working with a bunch of different people not squashing leads to most of your git history looking just like that commit, and it's even more of a pain to look at prior notable changes
that being said big thumbs up for following best practices for your personal projects, automated bisect makes fixing regressions so comfy when you know every commit is meaningful and workable

>turns out she's friends with the actual in-house programmer
>realize that boss is asking me to QC this guy`s work because she doesn't trust him
Would you consider this a redflag as far as offices go?
>>
>>103174697
I don't want to make a game, I want to make a sort of rpg maker for card games. Unreal seems cool because you can fuck with the internals and I can just sell it on the marketplace.
>>
>>103174711
No, that's standard office politics.
You've been forced to choose the side of your boss, so don't fuck up.
>>
>>103174707
It's certainly an interesting approach.
>>
>>103174746
Well it is all I can do now. I plan on going to career fair later so...
>>
>>103174711
No. I would consider the fact that you don't have a formal code review process to be a massive red flag actually.
>>
>>103173908
>start getting connections that will give you a referral
how do you do this anon. i am asking you to talk to me like the biggest retard on earth. there are only a few linkedin messages you're permitted a month even with premium

>>

I don't know if we do or not. My boss isn't the actual boss of the in-house programmer so I don't know how they do things in IT.
I'm a calculator monkey that reconciles accounts for chicken shit farms.
>>
>>103174781
I couldn't image the shear volume of telephone scam calls you would get if you posted your number online. Or the dirty fucking looks from the admin staff as they routed another recruiter call to your desk.

>>103174711
nope, just your boss. He set you up for failure. If he didn't frame it correctly, any criticism you fire at the application will be returned with an attack of your qualifications.
>>
>Power up (bullshit) my resume until it might as well say I'm Neo from The Matrix
>Throw job description keywords into resume
>Apply to job
>Get rejected
>Repeat
I don't understand. Of course I would be demolished in a technical interview (barring the jobs I'm legitimately qualified for), but I'm not even getting that far. What are these people looking for?
>>

Hell yeah, you tell 'em. Now tell me because I've been doing pretty much the same thing.

If you didn't make friends that are working already, start going to tech meet up events and connect with those people. Eventually ask them for a referral. It doesn't hurt them to refer you and typically they get a bonus around 3k for doing so so it's in their best interest.
Nobody wants to hire some random asshole out of an endless horde. Much safer to hire from referral. The stats back this up. Something like 40% of new hires are referred, but they're only 5% of applications.
>>
>>103175496
I second this. Got a friend over at Rockstar (the GTA ones) who's been bugging me to go apply and move to UK already because he'd get a bonus.
>>
>>103175496
how do I go to tech meetups if I work full time.

>>

pro-tip: If you're American hire an accountant otherwise your going to get absolutely destroyed tax-wise if you do this.

I'm Yuropoor.
Also I've been holding him off for two years because I just don't have it in me.
>>
>>103175545
Tech meetups are attended by employed people otherwise I wouldn't have recommended it. A simple Google search would help for starters.
Tech meetups in "your area"
Notice they're publicly listed, stating the area for the talk, and the hours that are almost always after work hours. If you can't even do this I'm not sure work is in your future.

>>103175788

this many layered red flags
>programmer doesn't have a trusted senior to desk check his work let alone actual code review/test processes
>big boss is willing to farm out code review to people not employed as coders; he is willing to make you act well outside your job description for nothing extra
>giving you potentially sensitive employee/business data to "check" results
>this is all done in secret, or at least not telling you the full offize realpolitik story
>you're a furfaggot

>it's all over a nonsense value that doesn't mean anything anyway and could have been handled by a fucking excel sheet

If you want to stay unemployed be my guest. Chances are you just live in a bad state for tech and you're not gonna find a job at all unless you move.
>>
>>103174707
people do this and every HR person complains about it incessantly. it's not stalking itself, but uses enough of its techniques that people will wonder wtf is wrong with you and why you thought doing that was a good idea.

>>103174158
sounds like comfy local heckdesk. help desk that is purely "local IT guy" is comfy because being in the same office day in day out and being a small office tends to make people not hate you as much, and it's "fun" because instead of azure deployment #21756519 you do all kinds of janky weird shit and no one knows enough about your job to stop you from doing said janky weird shit

What do you think their job is? Sifting through 10,000 applications from jeets and neets?
Their job is to fill the position with a candidate that can do the job. They're going to get a million messages, and 3 referrals. They'll ignore every single cold apply and call those referrals first. You'd better hope that the referrals are worthless otherwise you'll never get even that first call. This is the world you live in. Learn to adapt or drown.
