Now I can change filters in the Fiio control app and the clicks are gone, at least in the test setup where they used to be very noticeable. Apparently this firmware also enforces the AB amp mode as now it always works in the Hi gain.

what DAP do I get for pure use with my external DAC? I'm debating between the Sony NW-A306 and Hiby R4, I'm essentially going to ductape my DAC to the back of this DAP and I just want the longest runtime out of it. I heard the r4 has attroticious battery life and heats up (despite it having almost double the battery capacity). Others claim sony is battery efficient.
