Yesterday someone asked me你今年多大了?and I thought they asked你几点去到了?I think I focused too much on 几岁 and neglected 多大 because the second one is more English-like.But here's a question. Just finished taking an official mock test for TOCFL B Band. Managed to get 65 in reading and 50 in listening, just barely putting me into B2 and B1 respectively. My actual level is probably just below them though, since(in my experience) mock tests tend to be a little easier than the actual exams. Reading went very well and I managed to finish it some 20 minutes early, listening was an absolute nightmare past the first ten questions. The difficulty flew off to god knows where, and by the time I got to that part my concentration went poof and I had a horrible fucking headache.On the whole I think I had very good results and feel relieved that I got B1 in listening, this proves that watching anime with dubs and subs does have a noticeable positive effect towards listening comprehension, and now I can continue forcefeeding myself anime in Mandarin. I've got about a hundred more episodes on my drive that I need to go through, after that I'll probably never listen to a Mandarin anime dub ever again.
