The FN 1910 is really underrated. It’s responsible for killing 21.5 million people thanks to it having started WWI.

I agree, small enough to conceal ,substantial enough in weight so you don't forget its in your jacket but not too heavy that one pocket is at your knee and the other is over your nipple., cheap and looks good.

Big enough grip that feels good unlike Ruger lcp.

For my part I put forward the Taurus PT92/PT99.

It is a budget variant of the Beretta 92 but because it was based on the very original pattern it retains the frame mounted safety. This means if you are familiar with or prefer cocked/locked carry like a 1911 you can carry it that way and save double action for a second strike capability. Newer iterations also incorporate a decocker function into the safety as well.
They also have slides made of steel rather than aluminum alloy so cracking and slide separations are virtually unheard of.

The one annoying thing is that their magazines have exactly the same dimensions as Beretta 92F magazines but a different notch for the slide catch, so they don't interchange unless you want to use your Taurus mags in an older 92S (they usually have a notch for the heel magazine release catch).
If you have a Taurus you have to get Taurus magazines for it and aftermarket options are far more limited than they are for the Beretta 92.

>It's telling that Mossberg doesn't guarantee 1 MOA or better as a matter of warranty like other bolt action rifle manufacturers do
Because those other manufacturers are obviously lying. They're guaranteeing nothing since a shooting a three shot group once is a valueless metric. It doesn't prove anything about the rifle and certainly doesn't prove that it's a "1 moa gun".

In this thread we post our fuckups. I'll start.

Been having issues getting my pistol frt to run suppressed and while cleaning the can helped, it could be better. I noticed the striker had some resistance in half of it's travel with the spring removed. There was a bunch of gunk in the metal block and the only way to really clean that out is to pull the striker housing from the slide.
Had to use a lot of force to get it out like it was glued in there. I think the blue/green shit is loctite. My dot kept coming off so I kept reapplying it.
It was on the slide and striker housing.

Everything is clean now though. It'll be a few days before I can get to the range to test though.

>In this thread we post our fuckups. I'll start.

I tried to use a few thin coats of Aluminum Black to darken the laser engraving on a cheap 50th Anniversary CZ 75 PCR. It was working then at some point it made the actual black paint start lifting off around the engraving.
>>
>>64690036
Don't apply too much.

Also, and this is the big one that at a lot of people fuck up: make sure to degrease the parts BEFORE applying the loctite. It won't hold properly if the parts still have oil from manufacturing or rust prevention on them.
>>
>dot
>on frt handgun

why? its not like you can use the dot with the slide moving back and forth unless you can get something like a tx22 competition to run

That kind of product is a strong corrosive that reacts with the metal to create its color. It's not a dye or a pigment. It's the same thing with cold blue, "tool black", and art products like Novacan Black or those green patina products used on copper alloy products. Because they are quite aggressive chemicals they can fuck with paint and other kinds of finishes.

IMHO one of the best products for doing lettering is Tamiya lacquer type model paint. Dip a toothpick in it and go to town. It's also great for sights. The aerosol type is also very good for painting guns, it sticks like mad, much better than hardware store paint.
>>
>>64690036
I'll be doing that next time.

It's simple. During Cold War everyone experimented with new best thing + politics. So you have assault rifles, battle rifles, assault rifles turned into carabines, PDW, diferent flavors of SMG, bullpups, sniper rifles that are build for that purpose instead of being standard infantry rifle with optics slapped on etc.
After decades of experiments and small scale conflicts it was found that AR one of most ergonomic platforms so it's copied constantly, and AK is there because it's AK. PDW are meme, battle rifle are too strong for normal combat and only police force will use SMG.
Fact that cold war ended so military bidget was cut also doesn't help. US tried to replace M4 and M2 for like 2 decades now.
>>
20 years of GWOT led to refinement of ARs at a level that wasnt possible for anyone else.

Boring topic but I'm finally happy with what I've cobbled together from different components I've acquired over the years. Covers 5.56, 7.62, and 40mm bores.

I'm a milfag who works for a living so no 9mm handgun for me. Does double duty for both my personal rifle and my issued weapons.

>1. Repurposed Otis 5.56/9mm Defender cleaning kit pouch
Not the only thing that'll work, but I like that it clamshells open. Got it as a gift. I pulled most of the extra shit out of it because having pull through cables and bore snakes in addition to a full on sectional cleaning rod is just redundant. Use one or the other.

>2. Two rags
Just a cut up t shirt. One for wiping shit off with, one for laying small parts on. PSA: You can, in fact, wash these every once in a while.

>3. Otis stiff bristle brush
Have gone back and forth on carrying a brass one too but I've either never needed it or the shit was baked on so hard (M240 gas plug) I had to use a scraper.

>4. Plastic pick
For all the things a long, slim, pointy object is good for when trying to clean tight spaces.

When I was active duty I used:
Standard rods and handle, with the patch jag
Extra rod with one side of the female end smashed flat, serves as a scraper
Chamber brush, delete the tiny brass bore brush
Bottle of CLP
Toothbrush, anything with no rubber bullshit on the handle or brush, preferably rigid, file the end down so you can run the t shirt through the charging handle cavity
Half of a skivvy shirt, with a long strip of the hem cut horizontally, serves as a strap to tie it up after you roll it

I never used a patch once and I never saw them until I got out, we used MRE napkins/chow hall napkins, or gauze pads from the BAS. I got my rifle perfectly clean with just the above, no actual patches, solvents or Q tips. Just get your fucking pinky in there with the t shirt and clean it.

>an actual invasion would take months to prepare and the US would see it clearly.
The trick is to make exercises be exactly the same as invasion in terms of preparation and floating numbers. It is okay to sail a fully loaded troop transport around Taiwan and then land back on chinese shore. Do it a few times a full scale and then nobody will know if you're really going to go or fake out until the troop ships sail back to China.

>>64692625
The supreme art of Chinese war is to conquer the foe with human waves before running out of friendly civilians to eat. Again.

>>
>>64692453
No. By double hydroxylation and methylating the 2 OH groups you turn MA into MDMA. Viceversa, by de-methylating and de-hydroxylating. Probably easier with enzimes.
Nobody does that because both MA and MDMA have better pathways.

This is a really weird hill for you to be so determined to die on. MDMA is, in a very literal sense, a form of methamphetamine, in that it is a methamphetamine molecule with some slight changes to its form. I think the only way it could be more literally true in this context is if we restricted "x molecule is a form of y molecule" to strictly mean x enantiomers are forms of y molecule.
>>64692553

>>
>>64691994
wdymbt, there's literally multiple complaints that the children didn't know what they were getting into and were abused. One of the complaints was literally about DJT and jeffrey taking turns raping a minor in a hotel room.

Anybody defending this is retarded or a shill. This isn't even about party lines or "politics" anymore, the writing is on the wall. Both Clintons were involved. Trump was involved. Biden was involved in the same circles either himself or by Hunter(you remember the leaks that got purged just before the election right?). I refuse to believe that GWB and Obama weren't involved. I don't think we've had a serious candidate that hasn't been controlled opposition in the last 30 years at a bare minimum. Jeff has serious ties to the CIA which is the final piece. We now know for a fact what many have suspected for years, presidents are controlled assets of our own intelligence agencies, and we now know how they're being selected/cultivated. Given events like the dutroux affair we don't appear to be the only western government who's intelligence agencies have had the same idea. While I doubt that anything will ever happen were potentially about to be living in very interesting times if the right things get leaked at the right times.
