The AF turned back from the proposal to axe the E-7 completely and use 'space based' sensors. I wonder who has a big space based business and whispered that idea into Trump's ear?
>This is the same guy that said F-35s were useless and doesn't understand drones
2 E-7 units are currently in retrofitting in the UK to USAF spec and then full production will start in Kansas after their 2027 delivery. IMO the AF should retire the E-3s right now to free up funding for the E-7s as the 70s radomes are nearly obsolete, the E-2s can fill in the gap as the AF had proposed.

Anyway, Australia thread? Boeing Australia and Australia branch defense contractors in general make things come to fruition without a load of bureaucratic bs somehow as of late. I think that's really impressive.

Pretty much, and that would probably only be that quick if you had fully clear orbital planes to work with, if you need to deal with a ton of debris or other stats, it'll take longer, they also use hall-effect thrusters for orbtial maneuvers which are incredibly efficient but super lower thrust, so any drastic orbital movement requires a very long burn time.

Looking for a short video from the beginning of the Ukraine conflict. It was Russian video of a solider and he appears to morph on camera or becomes an (?)animal(?) in a trench its actual war footage 2021-2023 era. This should be enough to remind those who’ve seen it.

Might as well ask here. Does anyone have a video from early in the 2022 invasion made by Russians or separatists who were Donbas veterans and while driving around in a car they came across a column of Russian vehicles which decided to just pull over and hang by the side of the road. The experienced guys in the car roll down the windows and start screaming that they're a bunch of fucking retards and need to get out of the open before they get fucked by Grads.
It's funny and a good example of how the Big Army wasn't ready like Donbas veterans and Wagner was.

These are actually super good. Swisscards are a bit too brittle to my taste (I have broken the casing of two of them simply by having them in my wallet) but the tools themselves are pretty solid.

Only Signature / Marfione specials for now, so base price is gonna be 1-1.5k for the entry model. Hopefully there's enough demand to warrant some regular models closer to the price of the Gen3 UT.

Oh shit, I forgot, the do the one scene where the girl's riding down the side of the runway on her motorcycle like Maverick while shit's taking off, but then a BRAVE and DUTIFUL chink airman with too much fucking time on his hands stops her and goes 'NO, YOU CANNOT DO THAT.' Also, the one scene where one of the pilots rails against George Bush's flying skills like thirty years after the fact at a press conference.

They didn't need to fly the mission at all. The cruise missiles they fired at the air field could do the mission in terrain navigation mode.

NTA but I strongly agree.
It's too much to ask for a pilot to also be an EWar tech and Drone Commander as well.
This is probably usually done by the AWACS but if there isn't one up for whatever reason, the F-35 with a dedicated WSO who is essentially an EW/drones specialist, with flight training as an afterthought.

Are suppressors going to go down in price once the initial Jan 1st rush dies down? I am so sick of metal tube manufacturers charging ludicrous amounts of money for metal tubes, knowing they can get away with it because of government regulations. And I don't think anyone can rightfully and in good faith defend the suppressor price gouging that has been going on over the years.

Seriously, why WOULDN'T PSA or Ruger or any of the other sweatshop-tier manufacturers going to be cranking these things out by the truckload for $150 a pop? Surely the profit margins on metal tube are going to be way higher than any firearm, right?

>Tell me how I'm wrong about economics and none of that "the Chinese literally sold $20 cans as airsoft parts" I want a real answer!

When PSA makes a $70 suppressor and $50 booster, knowing people will buy them, like Glock gen3 clones, will you cry or just kill yourself in protest? A man shouldn't not know how a knurler works to think it makes a metal tube worth a thousand dollar.

Boosters are harder to get right than you'd think
>>
>>64338546
yeah maybe for an average joe, you dont think a huge company like PSA can figure it out?

I remember when some hoe ass companies said the bizon was "impossible" for production and PSA just made it work
>>
>>64338546
Certainly it takes a certain amount of R&D to get a Nielsen Device/booster right, in that respect it's like magazines which also have more engineering going into them then people commonly recognize. But by the same token, magazines being challenging to get right didn't stop magpul from figuring out very good cheap ones.

Ultimately, a booster is some metal/piston/spring. The specific geometry takes some effort, but the manufacturing cost is low. So it comes down to how many you're making to spread those fixed costs across. If PSA or whomever else figure one out optimized for ease of manufacture (might well partner with others and make it totally standard across a huge percent of the industry, might as well) and sells millions it'll be cheap.

Yeah the AK FRT SS market is super underdeveloped, and IMO it is actually one of the most promising. My two position AK FRT has been working flawlessly for nearing 1200 rounds total, maybe 1300 actually I need to double check. The design of the cam is such that the force to actuate the reset is transferred through a very durable tough piece, as opposed to the lever designs for the AR platform. The trip bar which is arguably the weakest part is only subject to moderate forces.
I've got the three position function checking by hand decently well right now, so long as you don't crank down on the trigger to hard. Going to work on it more a bit here.

I don't know if AK receiver and carrier specs are tight enough in terms of tolerances, but matching the cam and trip bar to a particular spec fire control group, auto disconnector, and auto safety, for a near drop in three position AK FRT SS that keeps the original OG aesthetic... we're not far from that.
>>
>>64338526
Very based. Will it use the OG safety selector?

Why the hate for 30-30? It may be a controversial opinion, but seems like the 21st century has seen a torrent of skepticism toward the round by the "modernizers" in the gun world. They can't wait to call it "obsolete" and replace it with the hottest new trend of tomorrow.

I have a Marlin 336 from the late 40s that I really love shooting (except for the ammo expense) but I can't use it for hunting because I live in a gay "straight wall" state. I keep pestering my state senator to change it but have had no luck. Too many retarded boomers who are vehemently opposed to necked cartridges for their perceived danger, when in reality the only people who cause hunting accidents are the boomers themselves who never took a hunter's safety course.
>>
>>64329679
>and refused to let their kids use it for hunting

>>
>>64324818
All of its “shortcomings” are pros in small hollers and fields near civilization. Ppl using 30-30 are not trying to shoot even 200m.
>>
>>64332373
Oh absolutely I'm going to do both. But I have the following lined up:
>getting a 22 WMR rifle, plus threading it (fuck stupid CZ US options, "every rifle is threaded...*except in US models")
>getting hunting supplies I've neglected
>getting a Beretta 80-series .380 + barrel + silencer
>getting a .300 Mini (if it doesn't suck) + A-TM + silencer + scope
>threading a Marlin + silencer
>getting and putting together an MP5
That's a good $5.5k right there at least. The 22 WMR rifle plus work plus scope is going to hit a grand right away. I have a spare silencer I think is 22 WMR rated I can use on it but I really want that silencer for a different rifle come Spring, so add, Idunno, like $500 or so in about 6 months. I'm fucking swamped on projects so threading a Marlin is way on the backburner, not to mention it needs a scope and silencer tacked on as well. I don't even have my shit together enough to hunt big game; I'm barely able to just hunt small/med game! Hunting comes around and I re-learn every year I need "just one more thing..." a lot during the season, so a lot of cash goes into that.

>590

>S
Like the 590, but without a stock so it's less useful.

As usual, the answer depends on the details you didn't bother to mention: what do you want to use it for? If you want a fun meme larpstick get the shockwave. If you want to do practical shotgun things get the 500.
>>
>>64338481
I plan on only buying one, so as much practicality as possible. I'm leaning towards the 590S so I can run mini shells.
The 500 comes with two barrels though. The 590A1 is built ridiculously tough and the parkerized finish would hold up a lot better in my humid climate I think.
