By using quantum sensing instead of traditional lenses and a CMOS camera, and then running reconstruction algorithms over time on the input, it's possible to get 20x the range, 1000x the processing speed, and sub-diffraction images.

It also reduces size and cost from Hubble scale to a big cubesat size.

On the one hand I can see where you're coming from, and the press release stuff is a little buzzy. On the other hand the arxiv paper is interesting and I've "seen" first hand an approach that is legit and has echoes of this in a different domain, which is using WiFi+comp+ai to construct 3D imagery of a room and the people going around in it, down to figuring out some of what they're typing on a keyboard. Blew my mind when I first encountered the research but it's real. And unlike most bullshit artists they're promising specific real products in a very short timespan. Any potential customers for this are serious players who would want to see real hardware and 2 years out isn't far. So I'm more curious then I'd normally be, though OP as usual is being a big faggot and overstating things more than they themselves do. The news releases have hedging around "up to..." which doesn't tell us what the average would be or what conditions it needs or whatever. Clearly asterisks there. And it sounds like this is information inference about specific (though interesting) data and not a full replacement for optical, like SAR usage. So it could be very cool but isn't "SpaceX to lift" which is shaping to be a straight superset.

Starting with this piece of shit. Any gun that gets a cracked frame within 20,000 rounds is an irredeemable hunk of absolute dogshit. That isn’t even a high round count for 9mm. Glock runs circles around beretta.

The frames cracked at 20k rounds with ammunition that Winchester had mistakenly loaded to proof load pressures. Cracking at 20k rounds with such abuse is actually really good. Beretta built a fix into the M9 to make it even safer anyway.

It's really what you make of it. I found a purpose even if it's retarded most of the time. At 26, I was a NEET and really had no path forward. Parents were enablers but also at the same time, grew tired of me sitting around at home. Wouldn't say I was suicidal, but I was definitely a sad person before. I now do something instead of fantasizing of doing something.

Recruiters will sell you a bad bill of goods if you're not careful though. Get whatever you want to do in your contract.

Also don't go high speed beyond airborne (only if you want it). I know this is a hot take but cancer rates are absurdly high, as are injuries later in life. Once you get out and health issues crop up years down the line, your discharge papers will say nothing of it, and the VA will tell you to get fucked. It's so not worth it.

This is a job program unless a war kicks off. Make it easy on yourself. Knowing how to blow shit up with C4 won't do you any good after the fact. Get a good duty station to appreciate nature and shit. TS Clearance and using your tuition assistance to get a degree while in will set you up for easy mode government jobs once out.

I grew up shooting with nothing but irons, but red dots are definitely better, not even sure what kind of argument you’re trying to make, you just hold the gun up and put the red dot on the target and it hits the target, it’s really quite amazing, don’t even have to get your eye lined up before taking the shot, not to mention the fact I can passive aim with duals on when using a decent dot like a t2 or exps3 both of which I own (I prefer the t2, set and forget, lighter, more durable, no delamination, better battery life, don’t have to manually turn it on or off)

They know this which is why they're trying everything to increase consumer spending. Unfortunately chinks have hundreds if not thousands of years of generational trauma that instruct them to save money instead of spend it.

Its very interesting to look into how Gen z is doing in China because they are facing some of the same issues that we are. In a lot of ways its worse for them. Americans like to bitch about housing, dating and work culture but its way, WAY worse over there from what I understand.

When the Geran/Shahed drones first appeared, I figured Russia would use them smartly in a classic SEAD/DEAD role: send waves of them to force Ukrainian IADS to light up radars and reveal positions, then follow up with VKS aircraft, with anti-radiation missiles to systematically dismantle those defenses.

Russia instead has chosen the most brain-dead and wasteful approach, by treating the Geran/Shaheds s as nothing more than slow, low-cost cruise missiles hurled directly at static infrastructure targets, while leaving the overwhelming majority of Ukraine's air defenses intact and free to keep operating.

They're banking entirely on brute-force volume and saturation to get a few through, completely abandoning any effort at SEAD/DEAD. But the thing is that they're not even achieving any kind of saturation effect since, the launches are scattered haphazardly across random cities, regions, and targets all over Ukraine that changes every night (some they they go after energy infrastructure, some other go after some depots, some others they try to hit some cities...), instead of making up their minds and concentrate them single high-value area, frontline sector, or even one major city at a time, and keep hitting them until achieving disruption or collapse. This is also precisely why so few targets are actually hit despite hundreds being launched every night, and so many of them are intercepted.

By contrast, even in the recent U.S. operation in Venezuela, the LUCAS drones (the American Shahed clones) were properly integrated into a coordinated SEAD/DEAD package.

We use per flat heating in Turkey. They're called kombi. They're not diesel but gas or electric. Many new apartments have diesel generators and central boilers. Diesel heating per apartment should be doable. At worst, just electric generator with electric heater is less efficient but will work.

>You dont see the Enemy go down most of the time, people count Kills that infact likely survived
It really doesn't matter whether the other guy survived, it's an air-to-air "kill" in the sense that you engaged a hostile aircraft and destroyed it, presumably through superior skill but possibly though better mission planning or superior equipment. It'd be disingenuous to arbitrarily not count an air-to-air kill just because the actual pilot didn't die, since in olden days that was largely down to luck, and in modern times, advanced ejection systems, more robust airframes, and the particular kill method of air-to-air missiles have coalesced to make air combat more survivable than ever for any reasonably up-to-date air force fielding such advancements, which at this point is most since they're all about as old now as airplanes themselves were in the 40s.
