>tl;dr: the US allegedly used sonic weapon to fuck maduro's guards during the operation the whole post feel like BS propaganda to make the US seems untouchable can this be real right ?
>>64749382Is he just describing getting hit with a flashbang? >>64749393>it's unlikely they used it hereTier 1 raid to kidnap the president of another country. This is the kind of op where they would use the best everything we have.
>>64749400>The US used supersanic weapons on us so we had to go hide and shit our pants instead of defend our countryIt was probably a grenade
>>64754930Flashbangs can fuck shit up. Buddy of mine threw one into a room and it landed on a kid and killed the kid. Was unintentional but it blew his mind and he seemed like he could never really get over it. Flashbangs can do serious damage if they land too close to someone.
>>64755079There would be shrapnel if it was a grenade. Besides, their orders were to take Maduro alive, so they probably couldn't throw grenades.
>>64755092It's called an offensive grenade, not a lot of frag and just a big ol fuck you full of TNT like the old M111 or M3A2They will rock your cock off but probably not fill you full of metal
When the Geran/Shahed drones first appeared, I figured Russia would use them smartly in a classic SEAD/DEAD role: send waves of them to force Ukrainian IADS to light up radars and reveal positions, then follow up with VKS aircraft, with anti-radiation missiles to systematically dismantle those defenses. Russia instead has chosen the most brain-dead and wasteful approach, by treating the Geran/Shaheds s as nothing more than slow, low-cost cruise missiles hurled directly at static infrastructure targets, while leaving the overwhelming majority of Ukraine's air defenses intact and free to keep operating. They're banking entirely on brute-force volume and saturation to get a few through, completely abandoning any effort at SEAD/DEAD. But the thing is that they're not even achieving any kind of saturation effect since, the launches are scattered haphazardly across random cities, regions, and targets all over Ukraine that changes every night (some they they go after energy infrastructure, some other go after some depots, some others they try to hit some cities...), instead of making up their minds and concentrate them single high-value area, frontline sector, or even one major city at a time, and keep hitting them until achieving disruption or collapse. This is also precisely why so few targets are actually hit despite hundreds being launched every night, and so many of them are intercepted.By contrast, even in the recent U.S. operation in Venezuela, the LUCAS drones (the American Shahed clones) were properly integrated into a coordinated SEAD/DEAD package.

>>64749431Russia is trying to not escalate, they don't want things like Transnistria being invaded or Poland starting an ATACMS factory or Moscow truck bombs. But things will probably escalate anyway since they are chipping territory. The useful part of such long stalemated efforts is your intelligence feedback about what strikes work, how much, what doesn't. i.e. to disable power should you strike transformers, or distribution towers, or poled water crossings or power stations or fuel or employees/admin? Does it work as well as disabling water? Big questions, kind of interesting. Anyone can learn this information at the same time. Don't know attack cost back end but useful.

How effective are the Japanese Self Defense Forces? Could they be as bad ass as the Imperial Japanese Army? How do they stack up to the PLA, Russian or Western armies if Japanese is allowed to fully re-arm?

what's up my fellow /k/ube enjoyers, I have a 7.5" AR pistol that my grandpa was attempting to build with a polymer lower, I changed to an aluminum lower and got a MWI handguard to replace the china handguard it had, I took it out to test it and it does go bang, but it takes the next round and shlams that bitch into the roof of the receiver... what causes that? wrong buffer weight/spring? it strips a round but just absolutely jams the fuck out of it diagonally in the receiver.

i just use this red line motor oil
The average diesel engine runs .001" tolerances. The average firearms run .001" up to .003" tolerances. I run 15w-40 Mobil Delvac full synthetic on my firearms. I run two versions. For general areas of the firearm with no mechanical movement, just the oil. Where there's more friction, I use that synthetic oil with a bit of Mobil red grease. I reduce the grease amount from 1 part to 15 down to 1 part per 20 by volume when temps drop. Think of your firearm as a reciprocating engine. But with an open design that can attract dirt and moisture. So you need to keep it lubricated for proper functionality. Don't leave too much oil in places with extreme pressure. Because oil doesn't compress and will cause damage. Gun oil is an extremely over hyped market. Clean your guns, lubricate liberally with conditions in mind.
>>64754545Clean your chamber
>>64754610I bought one and it helps but if I had to do it again I'd just stick with soaking in CLR and brushing every so often. Obviously check compatibility with your materials first.

>>64754499>That's not how jet engines work.>You'll need to have a separate propulsion systemWhat about going high bypass and using electrically driven stators as propellers, basically a pump jet.Clearly the engine isn't ignited in this scenario, you're running off battery until you hit air and ignite the engine. How to get the thrust to get airborne before your engine is lit is a problem, possibly you skim the surface with intakes above the water and ignite the engine then, your landing gear could have both wheels and hydrofoil fins or skis or something (with some variable geometry to select the necessary wheel/skid/ski/fin) and you rise up higher on them until you reach takeoff speed.Alternatively, run the engine as normal from compressed gas with closed intakes and have a gas burning engine that operates underwater for short periods during take-off and replenishes its gas supply in-flight.There's no version that doesn't require a bit of near-future materials science or engineering though.
IIRC 50 cent was shot nine times but survived because it was pissant caliber like .25 ACP
>>64752341Probably dresses like this. Or wears cargo shorts and new balances.
>>64752161Fair, I won’t say they don’t. But in that case the smallest NAA still works fine for shooting something in the head at nearly point blank. Or a heritage rough rider is cheaper, better to shoot, and it’s not like you need the concealability in that scenario. If you think they’re neat that’s great. It’s most of the reason I have mine. But “practical reasons” disappear pretty quick outside of the smallest ones. They at least can say they’re the smallest.

>>64754849That's just the purchase price. Now look into the maintenance costs just to keep it airworthy. Even if you never run the engines, shit times out. And parts and the expertise needed to keep her functional don't come cheap. You're easily looking at over $500,000 in annual costs, well over $1million with fuel and expendables. If you fly it regularly, expenses go well over several million per year. That isn't your mom's Volvo. That's a cold war relic from the United States, which had the petrodollar backing a bottomless well of obscene spending.

Mumford, a coxswain, had to reload the gun with one hand while operating a landing boat in the first wave at the start of the African invasion. He was wounded during the action.
