https://www.cryeprecision.com/Jumpable-Plate-Carrier?quantity=1&color=Coyote&page=1was thinking of getting this plate carrier with this chest rig https://haleystrategic.com/x-chest-rigonly problem is i don't see anywhere to clip the chest rig onto the PC, would my best bet be just strapping stuff onto the PC with velcro or finding a new PC?
>>64754862dunno anything about JPC (except that it's popular) and can only talk about stuff I've used as I'm not the most experienced gearqueer. I don't see any reason why you couldn't attach that rig to the JPC if you get some extra quick-clips or g-hooks or whatever. I'd assume crye has a different cumberbund option that has velcro on the front, or you could get a chest rig that has molle on the back?I have a haley micro chest rig. stitching and quality is good (expensive gucci nylon so it better be). It's comfy, and attaches in lieu of a placard onto my DM MEPC if I want it to.but I don't like using it on the plate carrier. It only has one pocket on the front of the mag storage area and some extra pistol mag slots and even still it sits so far out with that it's like you're pregnant. If i go prone anything in the pocket gets smooshed anyway.I much prefer a placard that's just for holding mags, and all the things that would've gone in the pocket go on my belt or somewhere else. Also, the inserts that go into the chest rig for holding mags are way less secure in my experience than my dedicated placards. The haley rig you linked is the bigger version of mine, and looking through the pics I assume it uses the same velcro pocket that takes inserts as other rigs.I ran with my chest rig as a placard on my mepc for a while but eventually caved and bought DM's dedicated mag placards (any brand would do tho) and I'm much happier with those. I lost the fanny pack/pockets from the chest rig but the mag placards feel much more secure and they're like half the profile or less of fanny pack hanging off the plate carrier. But also I only larp with this shit so if you actually use it for work or somethign maybe you'd like having the extra storage on your chest? The big advantage to using something like that haley chest rig as a placard is if you keep the X/H straps then you can use it without the PC too if you want.
>>64754862nvm I didn't look close enough.looks like it has a built-in placard, so you'd be able to try both I spose.
>>64754905>>64754910thanks for your input, i know alot of plate carriers have the little ring things that you latch switchclips onto but it looks like you'd have to put them on horizontally instead of vertically and that was really throwing me off, i don't know how anything like a g clip would hold on and not slip off during normal use/due to gravity
I just ordered a .308 CZ600 range for 1100 yurobucks (they usually go for 1300), did I fuck up
>>64753700>the dominance of humans lead to extinction of cave lionsSorry, I implied this and was not clear.>>64753267>would hunt Megaloceros>While most abundant in Eurasia, fossil evidence confirms its presence in North America, though it was a distinct species within the same giant deer lineage, not a direct ancestor of modern North American elk.In NA, also. Plus we had Megathierium, the giant ground sloth. And Priodontes maximus, the largest living armadillo. About like a 6 foot round ball, with bones that have revealed clear human predation in Central America. Surelu a .308 would have been good enough for all these, perhaps excepting the cave bear (short faced brown bear) and the cave lion. .338winmag for those guys, if not .378 Weatherby.

>>64752304if he ever goes away, the sentiment will contonue to live on through me. i dont care how many revisionist midwits write apologia for that piece of shit
>>64754818I wonder if there's actually a way to permanently end the repaer threat without some stupid mcguffin like the crucible, the organics could not have beaten them conventionally
>>64754817Have you ever heard of kinetic weapons? If you speed up a small enough particle to high enough speeds, the impact (say, into the ground) will be indistinguishable from direct artillery fire (e.g. conventional explosives).
>>64754899I guess you could use something like a civilization that developed all its weapons and ftl stuff without using element zero as a basis before being introduced to Citadel space late in the cycle so they are using exotic stuff that can actually seriously damage them, but that would still be really convenient and one hell of a stretch. The Reapers must have encountered and overcome pretty much everything you could think of since they were created.Best thing I can think of is baiting them near a mass relay and destroying it to kill them with the explosion. But I doubt they would be stupid enough to ALL come (if you can bait them in the first place) so you would need to repeat the feat and each "victory" erases an entire system.
>>64754899Idk if it wouldve been perfect but a conventional victory has some room for exploration. Yeah the reapers are set up to be overwhelmingly superior but there's one in favor for organics. It's the first time that the Reapers were not able to catastrophically decapitate the top-down organization of organic civilization and leave them unable to organize major resistance. We could've seen a Fabian strategy where organic fleets mass at one system at a time to pick off overextended Reaper forces. After a while, losses start accumulating (even if its overall minor) and because they can only make one Reaper per cycle, they start to ironically become fearful and make mistakes. At least that's my take.
The ATF fears creativity.

>>64754849That's just the purchase price. Now look into the maintenance costs just to keep it airworthy. Even if you never run the engines, shit times out. And parts and the expertise needed to keep her functional don't come cheap. You're easily looking at over $500,000 in annual costs, well over $1million with fuel and expendables. If you fly it regularly, expenses go well over several million per year. That isn't your mom's Volvo. That's a cold war relic from the United States, which had the petrodollar backing a bottomless well of obscene spending.
>>64754849That has been for sale since the beginning of the pandemic.
Revolution are just a marketable term for coups. The military always deal the final blow. The term revolution has gained a certain popularity, and many coups aregraced with it because of the implication that it was “the people” rather than a few plotters who did the whole thing. Thus, the obscure aims Abd al-KarīmQāsim had in mind when he overthrew the Iraqi regime of King Faisal II and prime Minister Nuri es-Said are locally known as the “sacred principles of the July 14th RevolutionMasses of people do not make a revolution revolution as Leon Trotsky pointed out long ago, the technological improvement of weapons, means of transport, and communications has widened the capability gap between organized military forces and civilians equipped with improvised weapons. Trotsky noted that, while the French mobs of 1789 could “rush” positions defended by infantry soldiers with their one-shot muzzle loaders, in 1917 a Russian mob however large and determined would be cut down by “modern” automatic weapons. By “modern,” he meant the clumsy, very heavy water-cooled Maxim machine gun on its tripod; today, every single soldier on mob control can be armed with an automatic weapon with a similar rate of fire. The effectiveness of modern soldiers, with their rapid transport, reliable communications, and efficient weapons, means that even one single formation loyal to the regime could intervene and de feat a coup
Retarded semantic argument. "Revolution" usually results in some ideological change or a drastic change in overall power structure. Like a whole new constitution or even a whole new country. "Coup" implies exclusively the military or an existing political figure, and often changes nothing whatsoever because the call came from inside the house.
>>64754879a "revolution" and a "coup" are very different in both methods and results.
Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?
Oh boy another thread of people taling braindead masses slop seriously. It's a movie with a sole purpose of telling a story.
