You have to go all in on mobile warfare. Commit totally to mechanization, nobody ever goes out on foot anywhere, if people leave armor, its only momentary. But this only works if logistics can support it, and to do that, every logistics vehicle has to have a hybrid drive. To make the point, airborne would be turned from light infantry to logistics, they get dropped with forklifts and fuel tanks and support the men on the ground.
