Is $600 a good price for a norinco sks without a bayonet? Pawn shop has one that has been sitting for awhile, marked down from $700

Genuine question.
How is the 3x optic in your opinion?

I'm looking at possibly getting a single optic carry handle for mine, but I hear that it's kind of dated. I want the aesthetic for sure, but at the same time, I'd like it to be practical as it will be my default 5.56 rifle.

I wish I hadn't waited so long to purchase an AP5-P. Used to be able to buy them for $900-$1000 pretty much any day of the week, now they're $1300 everywhere, and that's when they're actually in stock. To top it off, the mags just keep getting more expensive.

Big time "you snooze, you lose" energy from me right now.

>The Mosquito wasn't an air superiority fighter
because it wasn't as good as the single-engine alternatives available; to whit, it lacked manoeuvrability althought it had sufficient speed
as I said, that's the problem with WW2-era twin props, the only thing they really provided was range and payload

even so, in theory the Mosquito could have been a good fighter so long as one strictly used it for zoom and boom tactics only
>>
>>65034497
It fucking rocked as a night fighter, hard enough they were just spawncamping German airfields before long. That could be more attributed towards British technical superiority, admittedly.

Half the internet says this is a totally acceptable alternative to a real proper registered and tax stamp'd NFA item. The other half says this is playing with fire and you're a real cowboy if you mess with this shit and one day everyone is going to wake up a felon. Both groups say it's the other side that's being irrational not to mention clearly a nogunz ESL thirdie.

Personally I think some people who know more than all of us combined are stockpiling 16" uppers counting down the moment when they can sell them for 10x what they're worth because everyone is panicking. But I digress. Perhaps we can meet in the middle and call it a potential misdemeanor that exists in a quantum superposition of felon and law abiding citizen?

Lets say that, hypothetically, you are a military commander and have to plan an operation to retrieve nuclear material deep within hostile territory.

Also, the nuclear material is under tons of rubble, so you probably would have to send some heavy machinery to do the digging.

How would you plan this operation? The more details the better.

>When UF6 is exposed to moist air, it reacts with the water in the air to produce UO2F2 (uranyl fluoride) and HF (hydrogen fluoride) both of which are highly corrosive and toxic. Storage cylinders must be regularly inspected for signs of corrosion and leaks. The estimated lifetime of the steel cylinders is measured in decades.

iirc there's criticality risk depending on how closely packed the cylinders are or if there are neutron moderators nearby, like water (or humans). The risk goes up if the UF6 is highly enriched.

It's as as bad as you've probably been told, yes.
Appalachia was and remains Coal Country, especially West Virginia and eastern Kentucky. For decades the only meaningful way for a man to support himself was to work in a mine or in a position adjacent to the industry unless you wanted to join the military or police.
Coal towns started shuttering as we transitioned to oil, nuclear, and green energy, leaving a shitload of people who had chronic pain and no prospects. Big Pharma ran absolutely fucking rampant in the 90s and as our borders have become a political issue and enforcement has been weakened under certain administrations fentanyl and meth have only added more devastation onto already horrifically fucked communities.
There are places in West Virginia that are absolutely beautiful and I'd move to in a heartbeat if I had a good job offer, and there are parts that are pits of endless despair.

Attempting to expose midwits and autists to nuance is generally a frustrating and unproductive experience, anon. Their world is a world of binaries. There are no third options to them. Presenting one demonstrates that they are not actually the smartest person in the room, which generally results in cognitive dissonance and name calling.

Thus, you could discuss why a bunch of Slavs slapfighting each other halfway around the world is not something that the vast majority of Americans give a fuck about (and the ones that do only do so in response to propaganda, and in 2026 still can't find it on a map), but since that opinion doesn't fit into a child's simple view of the world, that simply makes you a Russian to them.

Yeah, we fucked that one up. I would've preferred for us to wait until they actually did build a few nukes and used them on Israel, and then then we could've given them the bombing that they truly deserve. That would have been two wins instead of one, but I suppose that I can settle for just one.

I haven't seen one in a good while. I'm seriously thinking about buying an AUG soon so I'd like some advice.

I know there's both 5.56 and .300 blackout variants to choose from and I'm leaning towards the .300 and just using supersonic ammunition. AUGs are notable for being poor suppressor hosts anyways, right? Plus, prices for supersonic .300 aren't that bad according to AmmoSeek when compared to 75/77gr 5.56 which I already buy. Plus if I ever change my mind about .300 I could just buy a 5.56 barrel.

A "dry fire" system that uses a primer per shot has always been a dream solution. I've only been reloading since 2012, but small pistol primers have always been about the same price as .22LR/round, and even in North Dakota, the winters aren't harsh enough for me to spend time reloading wax bullets on centerfire brass just to simulate shooting indoors.
>>
>>65033527
You can use beeswax/paraffin blender to make wax bullets to shoot with just a primer. My dad used to do that with his .357 so we could shoot indoors when I was little. Make a layer of wax about 1/2 in deep in a tin, then push primed casings into it, the brass will cut a little slug. Accurate enough to have fun across the basement.
