The protection of the Leo 1 was its superior mobility and firepower through better sensors and firecontrol systems. Having 70mm of steel armour or 140mm wont make a difference if you get hit but the chances of you getting hit are smaller if you move faster and dont get stuck so easily.

Extremely wack. Anyway, try an equalizer out before you wimp out over it not being a .380, it has a weird slow recoil impulse, probably the most pleasant "micro" (it's a little big for that title) that I've used. I can feel the recoil and then the slide ending its travel vs one big impulse. Trigger isn't bad either.

How would you, an ordinary citizen, take it out with only the weapons available to you? It has tough scales, can fly, spew fire, and is large enough to swallow a person whole. What can you do with the weapons and ordinance of a single civilian to kill it?

I am very curious to know what /k/ would use in the zombiepocalypse. What would actually be best? I always thought that the writers for the show had a lot of missed opportunities for /k/ino guns, gear, armor and weapon concepts both from history and modern times they could have applied to the show. A lot of stuff just felt like it was missing. Every time there was an actually big faction it seemed like they didn't equip their grunts with the most effective choices. Keep in mind, it would still have to be things that you can continue to use well into the future. There is no military supply chain in the zombie apocalypse unless you are with an utterly gigantic group of survivors.

I think many people itt forget that in most zombie scenarios it's not 'modern society vs a horde of zombies', it's 'modern society after the majority died of the plague and resurrected as zombies'. It's essentially post apocalyptic, an almost extinction-level pandemic coupled with a horde of infectious zombies. You won't have modern logistics and amenities. You'll have what you have and have to scrounge/fight for the rest.

I personally keep 10k rounds of 5.56 at my house, 10k at my dad's farm, and 2k in stripper clips in the toolbox of my truck (2 ammo cans). That's just the 5.56. I have a comparable amount of pistol ammunition in a variety of calibers, around 2k-3k each of 9mm, .45, and .40, and about 1k of .357. I have about 30k rounds of .22lr. I live in a small, rural town of 28k people. Assuming I hit half my shots (slow moving walkers, shooting them in the head from 15 yards or so), I have enough ammo to kill about 90% of my town's population. I'm not even associated with army or police, I'm just a redneck who likes guns. The national guard armory 20 miles away in the next town stocks half a million rounds of small arms ammunition, plus grenades, engineering explosives, and a few anti-tank weapons, according to my cousin who is an armorer there. No one is running out of ammo. I'd be more concerned with mechanical failures than lack of ammo.

>require large amounts of high quality steel.
For something that can resist a human bite, full plate made of sheet metal like is used for commercial siding or roofing will be just fine. It's readily available, easy to work with, and requires bo special skills other than a basic idea of what armor looks like. Just wear a winter coat underneath and duct tape/zip tie pieces directly to it and you have zombie bite proof full plate.

Ideal would be an M548 with some protective modifications (Mesh over the windows, reduction of any potential hand holds, mesh or some other protection for the bed and gunner position) with 8 men. 5 in the cargo bed armed with M4s, a gunner with an M249, a driver, and an assistant gunner/backup driver in cab. Everyone in protective gear to prevent blood spatter infection.
>make multiple passes through the area needing to be cleared
>sound of a screaming Detroit Diesel draws in the horde, enhance with music if needed
>once suitable number of undead are presented, begin engagement by reversing slowly at oblique angles to the horde
>gunner and two shooters in rear on exposed side engage targets with accurate aimed fire
>reverse turn as necessary to alternate rear shooters
>5th man in rear is lookout for any threats behind and spotter for driver
>continue engagement until you run out of targets or reach a minimum reserve of ammunition and return to base faster than undead can walk.
I figure you could kill several hundred at a time with this method with little threat to yourself. Yes you could just crush them under the tracks, or wait for them to surround the vehicle and stab them with a pole arm, but playing conservative is always going to be the smart move. The M548 isn't totally necessary, an FMTV or other heavy truck would work, but the 548 would have a little bit better maneuverability in an urban environment with a shorter length and the ability to skid turn.

I think he’s talking about base ASVAB percentile score. Every branch calculates their skill sets a literally differently (Air Force has their MAGE acronym, freakin’ nerds) but he’s not wrong in saying that the actual percentile assigned to you by the ASVAB that the Army excepts before a waiver is lower than the Marines; 31st for the Army and Air Force, 35th for Navy and Marines, and Space Force coming in with 46th as the minimum bin (before waivers). Granted, the ASVAB isn’t the best indicator of someone’s aptitude for a job but it’s good for a general baseline and filter.

Those are Serb rebels that had all sorts of shit dumped on them by the serb dominated JNA after Croatia and Slovenia left and also raided from arms stockpiles that were spread across Yugoslavia. Everyone was doing it. Pic related is a bosniak T-55 with an M18 turret.

The west was the main supplier of arms to Yugoslavia until the late 60's and 70's, it wasn't just ww 2 surplus, when the relationship with the USSR was mended.

Slobo would never make it to the top if he didn't pursue the pro-serb policy. The Serbian people were simply not satisfied with the situation and going down the route of confederation would mean that Serbs would be a minority in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo. At the same time no Republic is going to go and re-draw their borders and give Serbs what they want just because.

Its a bit of a damned if you do, damned if you don't type of deal.

What's the minimum standard to train to if you are going to carry? I am not talking SOF, I am not talking some mercenary company standards.

Just something that a person can't do after 50 rounds, but 100% of people can do after 3-6 months. Think 2 plate bench / 3 plate deadlift.

I am guessing it's 2 rounds on target from rest or holster in x time. What's that x?

What's the best way to train for it?
4 replies and 2 images omitted. Click here to view.
>>
>>64697471
Get a mantis or similar dry fire system. Everyday before you got to work practice drawing, dry firing, and holstering your gun 5 times. As you get faster and smother, reduce the size of the target. If you have to shoot someone for real, you'll be doing a bill drill or similar. You'll have to shoot outside every once in a while to validate your dry firing.

You should also carry a dagger on your non dominant side so you can create space to draw your pistol. You need to practice drawing your knife, creating space, then transitioning to your pistol. Go into the eye if you can.

Congratulations, you're better trained than 99% of people you will encounter. It will cost you about 15 mins a day.
>>
>>64697471
Take a concealed carry course, goddamn you kids really don't have a hundred bucks? Courses are very cheap and you can learn from people with more experience, not retards on the internet or trying to figure it out your retarded self. >>64698024
> Go into the eye if you can.
Be honest, did you watch the youtube video with the supposedly CIA guy. He loves his whole dagger + eye thing.

Anyway, I guess Mantis is it for cheap / convenient, but there are a number of issues there too. For example conditioning to at least pull back the hammer every time on a hammer-fired. That's why just training with a timer and a laser feels a bit dumb. I literally feel like I will train to pull back hammer or rack to reset for laser round.
