Three position AK FRTs that actually run.
Drop in roller gun FRT SS trigger packs that make use of OE HK style pack housings.
Better and more MPVO scopes in the 2-8, 2-10, 2-12, 2-16 range etc
More clip on options
More Inconel cans and less Ti cans

Got a 11" AR. I might be running it by itself, but pairing it with a 3x magnifier because I have a really bad eye sight when seeing far away. What should I zero it at so it can work up close for home defense, but also maybe 70-100yds too?

I had a "gunsmith" do a total hack job on a 1911 I gave him once. All he was doing was switching out novak sights for tritium novak sights and when I got it back from him it was shooting way off and ftfing all of a sudden. I think the front sight he used was too short but that doesn't explain the ftfs
>>
>>64759767
hmmm was it a high dollar 1911?
can any anon confirm if some gunsmiths sometimes do the jeweler switcharoos? maybe he replaced some of the components on your gun?
>>
>>64759895
Nah it was just a Ruger, and this was a while ago when they were like 6-700. I think he just boned it up, I had a bad feeling when he first took it apart and put it back together and got the order of the parts wrong.
>>
>>64760116
probably was too retarded to take the slide off the gun when installing sights with a hammer. fucked up the recoil spring or extractor with the pounding.
>>
>>64760129
That sounds about right, unfortunately I can't fix it because I lost that gun to unfortunate circumstances a few years ago. It was the first pistol I ever owned. Anyway I was asking because I'm finally about to replace it as the last thing I really want is a full size 1911, I was asking about the sights because if it's easy enough to do myself than I'd rather do it than give it to another one of these idiots

Somebody should tell them that dying isn't winning. As much shit as Trump talks he had a point when he tweeted that they need to take over institutions. Otherwise this entire uprising isn't any better than some BLM chimpout. Except the Iranian government prefers to shoot the angry mob rather than appease it.

They should be on thier flight path for best results. ATC may be directing direction before they come to altitude. I have routinely taken off or come in for landing and done 180°s. Also not for long trips they may aim for a nav becon thay is off a direct route. Plus, great circle routes are right out on flat maps.

It's legally CC in the same way shoving a BFR down your pants is.
You technically can't see the gun itself, so it's not brandishing or open carry, and most people aren't looking for it, but it's so obvious (to gun guys) you're carrying a gun that, in any situation where you'd actually need it, you'd be marked out as a target before the shooting starts.

Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?

If you shot a ballista against an AR500 Chinese lvIII plate the shaft would explode behind the shank as the only vector the force could take because it wouldn't even deform the plate below.

It'd have been another /k/ino nod if Jake in the first had instead explained where on the security forces iotv armor systems were only kevlar. And if future movies had soldiers in even heavier armor/exoskeletons and the gunships at the least copecages around the fan intakes and cockpit. And am the new bigger threat being the gearporn vtol jet using 360 cameras instead of a cockpit.

We have just seen the US carry out Operation Absolute Resolve, a flawless raid in Venezuela but there's so much more than what meets the eye.
The fact that the Nightstalkers could just infil and exfil on gunships guns blazing is insane in the era of gay drones and MANPADS.
They didn't even have to worry about the overall IADS. IR dazzlers or just shooting back was very effective against any fuckers that tried to get a shot off. More than half of the air assets in theater being SIGINT and EW just shows the importance of spectral dominance in addition to SEAD and as SEAD itself. It's obvious Growlers used their brand spanking new mid-band Growler pods to jam fire control radars, F-35s used their Barracuda suites, but what the EC-130H's were doing could be anyone's guess. But the power went out and that says something.

As far as we know. I’m sure they’d tell us if a chopper or two were lost, because if something like that happened there’d be no fallout whatsoever.

Just assembling and operating a big armada like that, there are deaths due to accidents, and it’s not cost free.

Drop the middle seat crewman and make the screens bigger. OMFV is already using a 2man crew.
>>
>>64760459
Makes sense. That crew capsule is really eating up the volume formerly used for the forward fuel tanks, doubly if they’re devoting more space for armor around the capsule.
>>
>>64760496
That was the plan with FCS. It didn't work then, and probably won't work for another decade or two, at which point it'll be the gunner that gets replaced by AI, not the TC. But, while a computer might be able to shoot clear targets marked by the TC today, I doubt it can handle all of the decision-making that the gunner has to do, particularly when something goes wrong and he has to adapt.

Why wouldn't something like pic related work fine as a "do everything" gun for a person living in the densely forested hills of Appalachia, where the power and ballistic advantage of a rifle simply isn't necessary?
>plinking will be good fun with the naturally subsonic .45
>definitely suitable for home defense
>easy enough to fit in a backpack, or take the can off and carry it on your person
>get some .45 Super for killing deer or hogs, or mess around with round ball loadings for taking small game or for pest control
Yes, it's true that rifles can be had for dirt cheap these days. And it's also true that there is no real reason to limit yourself to just one gun, especially a handgun. But in an autistic min-max fantasy where you literally can only own one gun and it has to be able to be carried 24/7/365, does a suppressed .45 automatic make sense? The only real downside I see here is that this is not the best option for summertime concealed carry in hot climates.

>>64760021
>could have been killed with a .22 LR or .22 Mag.
Absolutely. Now imagine having a gun that could be both in one gun yet with drastically better projectiles. Hence the Five-seveN.

Worth pointing out that what wasn't a legal cartridge for that WMA was .357, 9mm, or any of the big bore revolver rounds. Also note he wasn't attacked by bears but if he would have been a 5.7 would've been the only option that wouldn't have resulted in a felony trespassing charge. I guess I can concede that a 9mm/big bore revolver would definitely be more effective at stopping bear attacks in this location since you'll never be able to access the property with one lmao.
