I am about to import 80,500 of these indian hesbee 22 short single shot handguns. They are currently in transit being shipped from India.

They have sat in storage as they were built in 1959 as gunlaws became more restricted in India.

If you were in my shoes, how do I make this business venture successful.

I purchased each pistol at 2160 rupees (around 24$) and they cost me ($1500 for import and $5000 in shipping) so i am in for abit under $2mil.

Do you think people will actually buy these or should I put my house for sale ASAP?

Having read so far, some top ideas.

I'll add:
- sell here on /k/ marketplace, give is a special deal you can afford for a couple weeks or the first hundred you sell here or something

- set price at $75/$80 for a single unit, but price break for people who buy 5 at a time, like $250 or $300

(You) CAN document these are virgin, original 1959 manufacture, right? That makes them unusual collectables, so don't undersell yourself too far. If you're not getting action, put some on temporary price reduction every now and then at random shake up your market and get your buyers looking & waiting for discounts. The raffle idea is pretty solid, too.

Russia has for the first time deployed new strike drones, the 'Geran-5' and 'Geran-4'.
>Russian forces first used the new strike drone 'Geran-5' during attacks on Ukraine in early 2026, according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry. The drone is a large jet-powered UAV with a classic aerodynamic design, differing from earlier models.
>The 'Geran-5' has a length of about 6 meters and a wingspan of about 5.5 meters. It is equipped with a Chinese-made turbojet engine, capable of carrying a warhead weighing about 90 kg and hitting targets at a distance of up to 1,000–1,050 km. Its navigation system includes a 12-channel 'Comet' satellite system, a microcomputer-based tracker, and 3G/4G modems.
>According to Ukrainian intelligence, the design of the 'Geran-5' contains elements similar to the Iranian drone Karrar. There are discussions about the possibility of launching this UAV from aircraft, such as the Su-25, and its potential equipping with 'air-to-air' missiles.
>As for the 'Geran-4', it is known that it is an intermediate jet version between the early 'Geran' models and the new 'five'. According to preliminary data, this drone may have a warhead weighing about 50 kg, a speed of 350–500 km/h, a range of up to 950 km, and can also be launched from the Su-25.
>Thus, the 'Geran-5' is a new jet-powered long-range strike UAV, comparable in its characteristics to a cruise missile, while the 'Geran-4' is considered its less powerful predecessor

Anyone here actually use D-Lead products, or any leadremovers in general?
I am currently looking at wipes, hand soap, body wash & shampoo, laundry detergent, and a lot more but theres too many to name...How many should I buy, and should I just buy all of them to be safe?
I shoot a fair amount and I’m going to be shooting way more this year than I ever have, and I'm starting to wonder how paranoid I should be about lead exposure...Because I’ve heard horror stories about young dudes who shot their whole lives, never wore gloves, never washed right, ate at the range, reloaded bare-handed and endedup with fcknCANCER or straight up DEAD a few decades later from lead poisoning.

yeah

Anyways, taking this in a more productive direction, one of the reasons I bothered to finally get a range membership was the local range keeping d-lead soap on hand right outside the range for people to wash their hands with before heading out. It was the first time I'd ever seen a range do that. Seems like a good and easy solution to reduce exposure and contamination since you arent rubbing your lead hands all over your steering wheel and shit before having to go home just to clean off. I know I'm guilty of the occasional food trip before thoroughly cleaning my hands off just because it'd be extra trips and I was hungry then. If your range doesn't do similar consider talking to the employees and seeing if they can maybe get management to do similar. No point in living your life in fear, but little things like this take very minimal effort/cost for a reduction in risk.

You mean the military might value people who show up and do bullshit all day?
Also yes, plenty of people in STEM have a 3.3+ but even then STEM degrees can get you in at 2.7+ which is B-
If you can't learn to value showing up and doing bullshit work enough to look good on paper, the military is definitely not for you.
>>64756830
You just sound salty you didn't take things seriously and got fucked for it. Life is limited and the timespan where you're someone they want off the street is a decade or maybe 2 max. They need the guy who is early to mid-20's ready for leadership, not a 35 year old who's trying to piece a life back together at middle age. They might take that 35 year old if they need to fill a slot but they want that 22 year old. Sorry you didn't value your life when it mattered but its how things are. This isn't Skyrim where you can join every guild and be thane of every city or some shit, you got to prove yourself early and pick a path. Best case for the directionless is probably to enlist and do 4 years, have that maturity, then choose what to do in college and take it seriously.
>>
>>64756961
>College/Uni is a total fucking joke but also total retards have 3.0+ GPA
Then you know how the requirement is easy. You're not really contradicting the point that having an okay GPA is an okay barrier because if you can't manage THAT then you're not worth it.
>ArmyOCS
Yeah they care a lot more for fitness then grades. Easiest branch to commission as long as you can ace the fitness and look good enough in person for the interview. You don't meet the board in the Navy so they look at your grades and OAR primarily and maybe your letter of intent and your letters of rec if you don't meet ISEL. It's checking boxes on paper. Air/Space Force is actually competitive so good luck with a 2.6 there

im pretty sure ive seen more than one report from ukrainan front line soldiers that some kind of full-face protection is absolutely necessary and vital piece of kit now, and its one of the main "take-aways" as far as infantry/frontline kit goes. i wish i knew where I saw it, but it was something to the effect that full face/head protection is something people think is for-real actually needed

You're all retarded, I say this as the biggest hater of the Kriss Vector for being gimmicky oversized nonsense achieving the stated aim in the most ridiculous way possible, the only way that the gun would work (or rather, not work) the way you are describing is if the bolt was constant recoil like the ultimax. But it isn't, it bottoms out at the end of travel and impacts the bottom of the gun which *will* pull the muzzle down. Which is the whole reason it jumps up and down in the hands.
>>
>>64756594
1) in this animation (>>64754920), the yellow thing connected to the bolt does not bottom out.
2) the yellow vertical-moving piece isn’t even necessary. Think of how far back a pistol slide has to cycle. It’s only like 1.5 COALs. For 45acp this is like 1.8”. Not only is the vertical moving component a meme, it doesn’t even make the gun’s action any shorter.

Even if the vertical component did bottom out, there is minimal vertical distance between the bore axis and the center of the stock, so a gun of conventional design wouldn’t have any muzzle flip for the fancy flip reduction mechanism to eliminate.

Is there a physics anon who can confirm if the downward-moving bolt bottoming out would change felt recoil characteristics? My gut says it doesn’t, that it merely counteracts equally the upward movement of the gun and the shooter feels no difference.
>>
>>64756645
>it merely counteracts equally the upward movement of the gun
That's the entire point.
>>
>>64756918
Sorry. the *additional* upward movement of the gun imparted onto it by the camming action of the yellow piece.

Would going to an Appleseed course be worth it? I've never had any instruction in shooting and there's a few coming up within driving distance so the cost would be low. I'd use a 10/22 with an LVPO.
It kind of seems like it's all old people and kids in the basic courses, though admittedly, that's probably better than getting there and finding a bunch of spergs my own age trying to look cool. I doubt I'll find a more accessible form of training but I'm not sure if this is the best format. Like how much is shooting and how much is just listening to the instructors give a history lesson?
I also understand they put a lot of emphasis on sling use but the USGI sling they use seems pretty clunky from some of the videos I've seen so I may never swap to it but I do think having someone actually watching and give me feedback might help, especially if it's assumed I have no knowledge upon arrival.
Anyone that's been to one want to give your impressions?

Apparently cherry pits are extremely poisonous, which came as a shock to me because I've been cracking them open and eating the little nut inside for years. They taste like a mix between bitter walnuts and black cherry soda.
>>
>>64755698
Some of the videos I've seen have you flipping the gun over or clamping it between your legs to adjust the strap and it seems inconvenient. I might put it on my 10/22 or a sporter but I like front carry for my AR and it looks like the USGI is over the shoulder only.

>>64755725
I'd definitely learn some things but I've been mentally tallying the cost of stuff like rain gear (the class is in April and it'll almost certainly be raining) and cases/bags/electronic earpro and I'm looking more than that in gear alone if I want to be decently prepared. But cost is less of an issue than me being an unsociable shut-in.

>>64756426

>Apparently cherry pits are extremely poisonous
They're poisonous but not "extremely" imo, for typical red/black cherries you'd probably have to eat 7-10 pits (and chew them, swallowing whole causes no complications) before you'd start to get even symptoms on average. It'd bad for you but there's not THAT much amygdalin in them and not 100% of it will get catalyzed by beta-glucosidase into hydrogen cyanide, and because it's getting generated in the body as the amygdalin gets digested/catalyzed it won't be all at once. You'd start to feel it around 0.5mg/L of blood and probably be dead around 3 mg/L, so there is some exposure range.

I'd certainly avoid doing that, nothing to mess around with and chronic low exposure might not cause anything immediately noticeable but can cause some real issues over the course of years/decades. But if you weren't eating enough of them and don't do it anymore doubt it'll ever be a problem for you.
>>
>>64756990
>I've been mentally tallying the cost of stuff like rain gear (the class is in April and it'll almost certainly be raining) and cases/bags/electronic earpro and I'm looking more than that in gear alone if I want to be decently prepared.
You're gonna need most of that to go shooting anyway, man. That's not class prep, that's general touching-grass prep. All you need to do to pay it off is go hiking or find some BLM land nearby to practice the principles you learn in the class.

Realistically, what firearm would you need to take down a rampaging Na'vi from the Avatar films? Nine feet of solid muscle and bone (reinforced with natural carbon fibre), extremely fast-moving and agile, fighting on their own turf with very short engagement distances? There's no way 5.56 mm would cut it, would 7.62mm be enough?

It shoots like any other 10/22 I've shot, albeit it looks much better doing it. I took it to the range that evening and sent about 200 rounds through it, it had quite a few hiccups at first, but past about 50rds it smoothed out and I ran the other 150 without issue. I'm gonna throw a scope and suppressor on it, and it'll be my new small game gun.
