>Spain's defense spending remains below NATO's 2% of GDP target, hovering around 1.2-1.3% in recent years, making it the lowest among allies, despite commitments to increase it, with plans to reach 2% by 2029 or sooner through accelerated investments in modernization, though figures vary slightly by source (around €17.2B in 2024, roughly $24.6B) amidst increasing NATO pressure for greater contributions

I just got a high paying job and in celebration I'm going to update my arsenal. Pls give input on my choices for these roles and let me know if there's something better:

>Ruger SFAR as main DMR rifle, open to other short receiver .308 ARs or a .308 bullpup
>M&P9 or 10mm Witness as handgun, I do live in grizzly country and this will be my primary HD/clearing gun
>Kel Tec RDB as building clearing/HD rifle
>KSG as HD shotgun
>Mossberg Aftershock as drone gun to be worn on a scabbard, can also double as bear gun with slugs
>300WM rifle as sniper (undecided but either a cheapo Savage bolty or go all in and get a Desert Tech SRS for $6k)

Already have my carry guns set and most of the common rifles for range funs but want specific ones that best fill those roles. What are your go-to's?

>SFAR
Decent.
>M&P9 or Witness 10mm
M&Ps are good to go. EAAs, not so much. 10mm is also a bit of a bastard to shoot and train with, because there's two different sets of "10mm" ammo commercially available: a) .40 S&W-tier down-loaded diet ammo to appease the guys who spent $500 on a Rock Island and are too cheap to spend another $50-100 on quality ammo, or b) "full power" fuck-you-and-whoever's-behind-you pissin' HOT loads that will shorten the lifespan of your handgun and finger joints by an appreciable amount. Your choice either way, just steer clear from the cheap guns for sure. It's a magnum round and requires a good gun if you like fingers and having them.
>RDB
I have heard of many niggling issues plaguing the RDB. At least fondle one in a shop somewhere before you send it. Kel Tecs are fun, but the construction on a lot of them is CHEEEEEAP.
>KSG
Go for it. One of the good models. Get a VFG for the pump so you don't un-hand yourself, and train yourself out of short-shucking it (there's a "wall" on the backstroke of the pump action that fakes you out into thinking the action has hit its limit and can go forward again).
>Aftershock
Lol no. Just use the KSG if that's a concern.
>300WM
I have no idea, I do not long range shoot.

The MWS is a heavy gun but it's more than worth it for the accuracy and reliability imo

My sister-in-law has an RDB-C and it's a fun little gun. The C and S models are sleek and easy to carry, real handy innawoods. She likes it because it's easy to hide and her parents are furiously antigun but I'm guessing you're not living at home with mommy and daddy. Triggers good, the gun's surprisingly reliable and downward ejection is nice.
On the other hand, it feels like a cheap plastic dollar-store toy to hold, one of the screws backed itself and disappeared into the grass (might wanna loctite em all) and the thin barrel is very temperature sensitive.

I love my AUG though. It's a joy to shoot, it's more accurate and way more robust. It's a gun I'd actually be happy to rely on in a shooting.
The stock trigger is a gritty and mushy but not to the extent that it ever impeded my ability to shoot. I've got the Ratworx 2020 sear in it now and that's made the trigger a lot crisper.

You are so wrong.

>>64751657
>Full body armor was used... by horsemen.
>Infantry never, or almost never, wore full harness
It depends on the weight. 14th, early 15th century full suits of armor had an average weight of around 15kg and they only had to face mostly lonbows, crossbows and melee weapons. There are quite alot of historical depictions of fully armored men fighting on foot. Late 15th to 16th century suits of armor had to face bullshit muskets and had to grow in thickness and weight to resist it so the average weight suit became something like 25 kg with some extreme examples having a weight of around 40 kg or more. Horsemen can always just ride around but infantry have to walk everywhere so wearing 25 kg of armor is gona suck ass compared to previous era of only 15 kg suits. But then again there are 14th-15th century depictions of men fighting on foot not having leg protection and open top helmets.
>pic related, one guy is not even wearing a helmet.

The number is a conservative estimate. The Spirit of Fire has Frigate-sized MACs, and it was able to output similar energy with damaged systems.
That said, Light UNSC MACs as the ones in Frigates can also fire 600ton slugs.
That said, the UNSC 4%c number comes from the Eszod ODPs, which are only found on Reach that we know of, though it ain't crazy to think that the ones on Earth are on the same league, same as the Punic-class Supercarriers.

Not to mention secondary guns. Which in lore are able to pick off Covvie ships from a distance, which already puts them absurdly over the power of Alliance guns.
And that the missiles all are at the very least 1/3 of the power of your main gun; and are able to go absurd speeds, and longer ranges than Mass Effect Javelins.
UNSC ships ain't shielded, but they take on hits that could kill any Reaper ship (and might be able to survive)

Mass Effect has cool aesthetic and actually fuckable aliens (save for Sangheili women), but they'd get shit on by any UNSC fleet simply because of missile spam

Got to shoot my tavor 7 a fair bit on sunday.
Hadn't shot it much since I got it, and made the mistake of shooting it with the stock buttpad (flat plastic) and then picking up my buddies ultralight AR right after.

it wasn't as bad as I remember, and I added the manticore squishy buttpad to it. Then I blew a 6in tree down in one shot which reaffirmed my decision to carry this as my jungle apocalypse BR.
I really want to get that sig romeo 8t AMR combo with the magnifier next. Or a LPVO.
>>
>>64750902
I've kinda moved away again from BRs into 300+300(+22) but from my limited range time I liked the T7 more than the X95 when I tried both a few years ago. Seemed significantly more accurate and some nice refinements. Nice choice anon.

Random unprompted rant: Despite the persistent perception that all German tanks were over engineered and overpriced, Panzer IVs were on average slightly cheaper than average Shermans and T-34s.

But yeah, while they were better in a few aspects, they were a lot more difficult to maintain Shermans, but still FAR more reliable than T-34s which (like Panthers) were trash in practical reality despite looking impressive on the spec sheets. The whole "over engineered and overpriced" is absolutely true if you compare tanks in completely different classes, apples and oranges, etc.
Tigers-1 cost 4 or 5 times as much as regular medium tanks, and Tiger-2s were twice the price of Tiger-1s.

Tanks are not obsolete they just haven't been updated.

Abrams introduced- 45 years ago

The first ironclad to the first dreadnought was about 45 years in comparison.

Roughly 45 years between the wright brothers plane and the introduction of combat jet aircraft.

To be honest its entirely possible to rush three AI with toxin tractors depending on the map. Just use contaminate in the right spots and the AI can't place buildings down or if they do they tend to instantly implode resulting in the AI getting confused. Can also do it with tanks as Thrax with the anthrax shells which is more effective but also much harder to micro.

We have just seen the US carry out Operation Absolute Resolve, a flawless raid in Venezuela but there's so much more than what meets the eye.
The fact that the Nightstalkers could just infil and exfil on gunships guns blazing is insane in the era of gay drones and MANPADS.
They didn't even have to worry about the overall IADS. IR dazzlers or just shooting back was very effective against any fuckers that tried to get a shot off. More than half of the air assets in theater being SIGINT and EW just shows the importance of spectral dominance in addition to SEAD and as SEAD itself. It's obvious Growlers used their brand spanking new mid-band Growler pods to jam fire control radars, F-35s used their Barracuda suites, but what the EC-130H's were doing could be anyone's guess. But the power went out and that says something.

Indonesia is one of the countries that will become a superpower someday and rival the US.Indonesia is now set to have a capable Airforce once these jets land in Indonesia early next year not to mention Indonesia is buying 5th generation stealth fighter jets from Turkiye.Indonesia also has long range ballistic missile strike capabilities thanks to Turkiye.

take note that indonesia see australia as frienemy. australia is a friend, but have high potential to become an enemy. if you read history about relationship between the two countries, the two countries already find them self as enemies many times in history. there's even a prophecy by king jayabaya from 7th century that said nusantara (indonesia) will go to war with it's southern nation (australia) to become the regional superpower that rule indian ocean and south east asia

Looking at how the US turns a blind eye to Israelis killing women and children, Indonesians fear they would be treated similarly to Palestinians if there were conflicts, for example, between Indonesia and Australia. Historically, Indonesia has been mistreated by the US and Australia before. Indonesian has more realistic view of relationship with Superpower.

In fact, Indonesia is the one who has to worry even though it is non-aligned but is surrounded by American military bases. such as in Singapore, Papua New Guinea, Australia, etc. there is a possibility that other countries will attack it to take its resources, for example, Australia, which has a military backup from the US, could help Papua become completely independent, especially as Indonesia's military equipment is much more outdated than Australia's. especially because Indonesia is flanked by China and Australia, where the issue will definitely be related to the blurred South China Sea and Australia's potential to help Micronesia push for the liberation of Papua... so maintaining and increasing Indonesia military strength is important

I can’t believe it took a 30 minute video to say what we already knew, which is that 10mm Auto is the superior automatic handgun cartridge, and that only after having to water it and then .40 S&W down for the women, manlets, and fags in the FBI did they just settle on 9mm because there was no difference at that point. Amazing.
>But muh fire rate!
Literally doesn’t matter in a combat scenario, doubly so if your shots don’t actually land. Paul Harrell already established this in his 1986 Miami Dade shootout analysis.

Lift weights and carry 10mm, anons.

Realistically speaking so long as you have nuclear weapons or even something more devastating, the eternal argument ends with sword>shield. Consequentially being a fuckoff huge target would simply end poorly for you as missiles, typical artillery, or even nuclear landmines would mean more agile and attritable, not to mention pre-existant forces would remove you from the equation. Unless you address many or all of these factors its not really feasible enough people give the OK to dedicate the necessary engineering expertise to design this and then filter resources away from the front to arm and protect this thing.
