You're shot down over enemy territory with only a sidearm and a suicide pill. How do you survive while being hunted by hordes of starving inbred peasants that think they're going to get magic power by killing and eating you?

Yes.

And you probably dont need a breakdown rifle, a regular 12.5" or 14.5" AR-15 for $500-1000 is probably just fine for home self defense.

For literally fucking YEARS I've been saying, soldiers should be issued a 5 meter collapsible steel poles to ward off drones. These poles would have a fishing net on the end, and be able to catch the drone and obscure its vision. Certainly not an effective weapon, but a weapon-of-last-resort that could save lives.

I thought of the idea when I saw an APC with 20 men sitting on it get ambushed by an anti-personnel drone. I thought, if every man sitting on that APC had a long pole with a net on the end, that drone couldn't have even come close.

Additionally, what makes drones so strong is that they can see everything from above. But these poles and nets, could be deployed like "tents". With thousands of soldiers, you effectively establish massive fields of tents where people can hide and the drones cannot see them. This creates a very uncertain battlefield for the drones and greatly improves survival odds. These tents could be used as decoys too, in the case of a pursuit.
In the case of thermal vision, the poles could even have batteries in the rod, which click, and run a current and thermally obscures the drone's vision.

And after literally years of making this rather-obvious suggestion, some soldiers on the battlefield are finally taking my advice. Webm related. Except their version is super shitty and ramshackle. The generals and the leaders are still totally out to lunch.

The only real problem with the BMP-1 is that the soviets struck gold once and refused to change their way of thinking around IFVs ever since even though the BMP including all its derivatives were obsolete in the 80s. Any military vets here?

I just discharged last year after 8 years in the US Army. I spent 3 years in infantry (11B) stationed in a really rainy German town and got deployed to a country full of commieblocks before I applied for the Special Forces and managed not to washout of SFAS and after 2 and a half years or so I spent the rest of my time in Army as an 18B in SF. Since I did the full 8 years active I'm not IRR and pretty much a full on civilian now.

I have no idea what I want to do. Since getting out, a case worker at my local GI forum got me this job doing basic maintenance on folding machines for a laundry business, and honestly it kinda sucked, so I got a different job now working in a really cold warehouse for an online grocery store. I have little to no prior work experience outside of the military. From my service I do have experience in some building/construction, mainly basic shit like excavation and laying concrete and I've installed basic electrical wiring but I don't have any certifications in that type of stuff. I'm also bilingual, fluent in spanish and ayacucho quechua (lol) but even with all that my case worker can't get me a job that pays more than $16 an hour like shit man come on.

I'm having to live back at home with my dad and my mentally ill sister. I was going to take advantage of the GI bill and go to school but I have no fucking idea what I want to study as a career. I don't want to get a bullshit degree and reenlist and go the officer route (there's a lot of bs involved) and tbqh I don't feel like going back to the military in any degree. I have no interests other than my hobbies and no aspirations of what I want to do.

I tried looking into PMCs/PSCs and I found this website called Silent Professionals which seems kinda fishy desu. Idk man.

Anybody in a similar position?

/frtssg/ - Forced Reset Trigger & Super Safety General

Previous:>>64899646

What are FRTs:
Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) are firearm modifications that allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly by automatically resetting the trigger after each shot, while still requiring a trigger pull for each round. They increase the rate of fire without converting the firearm into a fully automatic weapon.

AR-15 is the most ubiquitous platform with the most amount of options. Other platforms have other nuances.

radars are (at least for F-15EX and latest block F-16V) about equivalent but the F-16 (especially if it has have glass RAM) will see the F-15 first because the F-15 is much less stealthy.

not even close, F-15's radar is twice the size. the only question here is whether both planes' radars are more than capable enough in any combat scenario they'd find themselves in against each other since they're both non-stealthy 4th gens with state of the art electronics in them.

>>65049917
sure, they carry the same armanents and have their own advantages when maneuvering, with F-15 being better in BVR due to superior acceleration, top speed and climb rate while F-16 being a more nimble dogfighter, but not to a very large extent.

what F-15 is massively superior in is combat range, which is several times that of the F-16, especially carrying a substantial payload. this allows the planes to cover a greater area deeper into enemy territory for air superiority and strike missions.
>>
>>65049917
>>65049925
>>65050011
Real issue is that the latest gens of each are strike aircraft, AKA missile/bomb trucks. They will hold their own against anything not from the west but get bounced on by dedicated fighters or even F35.

I haven't seen one in a good while. I'm seriously thinking about buying an AUG soon so I'd like some advice.

I know there's both 5.56 and .300 blackout variants to choose from and I'm leaning towards the .300 and just using supersonic ammunition. AUGs are notable for being poor suppressor hosts anyways, right? Plus, prices for supersonic .300 aren't that bad according to AmmoSeek when compared to 75/77gr 5.56 which I already buy. Plus if I ever change my mind about .300 I could just buy a 5.56 barrel.

Man remember videos of Chechens firing machine guns into bushes and driving around in armor that turned out to be well behind friendly lines? Do you think that maybe shitzbollah did something similar? That they setup and filmed from a location that was well away from where the Israelis were operating? Becausw if I wanted to make a propaganda video I sure wouldn't setup and badly operate an almost century old piece anywhere a modern army could see me trying to do it.
