Hey guys. I have been shooting my Schmeisser AR-15 with irons for almost 2 years - both tactical shooting and precision, I am some 6000 rounds in. It is light and groups nicely, usually around 1.5 MOA with cheap GGG 55gr ammo (with irons). Recently I started looking into getting new AR more suitable for dynamic precision shooting. Something like BCM RECCE-18 or JP Essential Carbine (both 18”, light, heavier barrel, rifle long gas system).Friend of mine is selling almost new FN 15 Sporting. It was used for hunting one season, max 100 rounds. I inspected it and it really looks brand new, BCG intact. I would replace the stock (Magpul PRS lite?), handguard (BCM MCMR-15), charging handle and put in ambi safety. Turn that into “MK12-like AR”. Would that work? Will that shoot 1 moa? What is the reputation of FN AR? Pic related, FN15 Sporting in question.

A good 1:8 or 1:7 twist match grade barrel might help, or possibly a different set of irons that allows greater precision. Those are good groups with irons either way, but I wonder what the real limiting factor here is.
