>Flash cans
Dogshit. 3 prong it out if youre trying to hide flash
>21
On a 21 you should run a low profile flash hider like it came with or a 3 prong type deal.
Keep in mind your barrel is being pulled through your receiver so your flash can aint coming along. 21 barrel also fat enough for you to cut it and thread 5/8x24 so you can run whatever on it.
>>62680019
Flow through cans heat up fast and stay hot
Now your hot barrel has an even hotter hotdog on the end of it thats going to negatively effect cooling even if you pull the barrel off. Also direct thread so you better have one can per barrel because its fucking staying there.

If youre going to do reduced backpressure cans on a MG, go with a hybrid like the velos or a purpose built hybrid like the B&T RBS-MAX MK46.
>>62680027
Gas a nothingburger.
MGs dont have T handles right under your face and the topcover has such volume its no problemo.

only good with x39 and 5.45 actually. totally worthless with 5.56

What boosters do on soviet calibers is capture all the unburnt shitty powder impurities, as they fly out the barrel and become sparks.
western ammo doesnt spark, so a good 3-4 prong suppresses flash better in that case

The way CAT suppressors are designed is different than most, they are optimized for particular cartridges rather than 30 cal = anything that will fit through it. The ODB is optimized for 7.62x39 or 300 blackout. What you want for that is the DD which is a 308 K can or the JL for full size.. They explain it all on their site.
>>
>>62680565
Velos. CAT is a shit heap of a company and regardless of the quality of their product they are destined to have a shit reputation within the next few years.

Don’t buy CAT, they’re very round specific and they don’t have a 6.5 can out. Velos 762 might be the better choice, maybe even the B&T SRBS 762 might be worth looking into as well.
>>
>>62680707
>qrd?
It's run by ultra-egotistical, opinionated millennial fags who are guilty of every cringe hypebeast behavior plaguing the entire space. If you can look at their website and not instantly realize you do not want to do business with these people, I don't know what else to say to you. Their warranty policy is trash, and with the ever expanding number of options on the market today there is just no reason to buy from a company with such a shit attitude towards their customers and cringe branding. CAT today is where Dead Air was like 5-7 years ago. CURRENT_THING, inevitably going to take a fat shit on QC once they get some initial success and build hype and stop pretending to even remotely care about consumers.

Just buy from a company that actually respects you and isn't so obviously in the game exclusively to satisfy their own infantile self image. CAT is the BRCC of suppressor companies.
>How fast does Capitol Armory ship.
Idk, I have always bought via SilencerShop with zero issues. They ship to dealer as soon as possible and the dealer releases it to you as soon as the stamp is approved so you can pick it up right away. Their system is also very convenient for filing form 1s
>>
>>62680728
Also ti sparking never ever goes away. If you’re lucky it subsides a bit. I will say this though, on long barrels they barely spark at least my TBAC doesn’t on my bolt guns.

Realistically, a situation in which you are in shtf and needing to use BUIS is so far down the fault tree that you are likely minutes away from getting turned into red paste by a drone grenade. They definitely look cool, but they do add weight and imo you should think barf about if you actually need them.

I can't remember if I got a spring kit for the S3G to put in my SSP to increase the pull weight. All it did was fuck up my pull weight by adding like 4 pounds to the pull and the reset trigger got super strong. If this is how the S3G is then I'm sure it's good for burning down a course of fire real fast under pressure but I think it may be a meme for everything that. Your results may vary

A couple of days ago, I just got my Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 and a nightforce a700 mount. The crossbolts are supposed to be torqued to 100 inch lbs, which seems excessive. Searching google comes up with multiple threads on snipers hide and arfcom discussing this, with people shearing off nuts, and other people saying they said fuck it and only tightened to 60 or 65. When asked about it, nightforce said that the mounts are designed to use that torque value, and not to lower it. The mounts requiring that much torque have oversized titanium claws larger than normal bolts. Anybody else using this mount, or have experience with nightforce mounts in general? Im almost thinking to just say fuck it and tighten down to 65 and calll it a day.
>>
>>62682546
Torque wrenches are gay af. You're not rebuilding a transmission. Just tighten it with your emotions and call it good.
>>
>>62682546
Real answer: return the mount and get a larue, badger or reptilia instead of using something that requires retarded torque values
>>
>>62682546
Yet I bet they won’t warranty your scope if you somehow manage to damage the tube. For reference most scope mounts are 20-30in/lbs my larue said 30 on the instructions.

It’s substantially wider and more overbuilt than a harris. It is a great bipod with tons of adjustment but it’s obviously intended for large precision rifles. Also it’s slower to deploy than a harris. If you have an AR10 or some bolt guns then I’d say yeah go for it but you’re better served with the harris for a mk12.

Taper surface friction while passive, is one, and the spring loaded detent ring is number two, and is active.

Yeah it is definitely a reasonable concern. The housing is aluminum though, comparably thick to a rail (few mm), and has shorter dimensions and is boxier and more rigid than any rail really. I imagine a hard hit would flex the rail well before causing any flex between different parts of the ChinkGAL housing relative to the mounting screw, recoil lugs, and clamps etc.
I think a serious hit is more likely to scramble the internals than anything.

More weights. You can eyeball the added length.
Also yes to consider total added OAL to the rifle you need to consider where on the muzzle device the mount backs up to, and where on the muzzle device said plane is relative to the shoulder of the muzzle threads on the barrel, but the YHM muzzle devices basically are within 0.25" of other muzzle devices when it comes to the location of this plane, so your OAL reduction for the entire system is at worst reduced by 0.25", so you're still saving anywhere from 0.5"-1.0" of TOTAL added OAL to the whole system.
The important thing here beyond operating in confined spaces is reduction of angular moment of inertia which is non-linear with length.

I haven't checked POI shift from unsuppressed to suppressed with any precision beyond minute of C zone at 25-50m, but within that I have not noted anything. Personally I am not too worried about POI shift from suppressed to unsuppressed because I am strongly confident the rifle will have some sort of can on it during any serious use.

What I did do the other day was check POI shift from YHM mounted can to can. POI shift was within zero/POA uncertainty, IE statistically insignificant. This was hot swapping between my Rex MG7K with YHM Kurz Ti mount, and the BT PrintX Mini 556K with YHM Kurz Ti mount. There was no perceivable POI shift between the two cans on both the tested 11.5" gun and a 14.5" SPR. I was happy with this as it meant that for both guns, both cans resulted in the same POI which means that the 2x guns and 2x cans are truly combination modular.

Right side bolt hold open is a huge feature IMO. Locking the bolt to the rear is a common task, both administratively and while potentially under pressure. Being able to lock the bolt to the rear with significantly increased ease and speed while keeping primary firing hand control on the grip is a good thing. Not to mention how critical it is when prone. You ever lock an AR to the rear with a mil-spec setup while prone? It is basically a scorpion twist yoga pose. Or you're giving the gun a reach around. In either case it sucks compared to using a right side bolt hold open (assuming you're right handed).

Ambi selectors are also a huge improvement on speed and ease of safety ON actuation. You don't have to break your primary firing hand grip as much to actuate the safety ON when you have an ambi selector. This makes it easier to maintain safety discipline while moving, setting up, breaking down, then setting up sight picture again.

Both of these are about keeping primary firing hand control on the grip. This is obviously a good thing.

Tell me why I shouldn’t get a brn-poor (brownell’s poor16) upper to curb any nostalgia I have for the m27
Of course the barrel and bcg are bullshit qpq and 9310 nitride, but I would wager that brownell’s and faxon QC is better than HK’s US-made military contract rifles, so it’s all bullshit

Also, what’s the best way to get a suppressor? Local shop?
>>
>>62683340
BRN 4 parts are laughably poorly made
Their uppers look like someone made them with a drillpress.

Who buys Q cans? I swear they’re the only brand that always in stock at my local gun shops. Surefire, hux and all these other brands are always moving but Q just sits there.

Unironically missed the boat. I barely caught it when brownells were selling HK overrun uppers and rails, but still bought their small parts and BCG. Barrel on mine is nefarious arms
Also local shop for cans, having a SS kiosk is a plus though

basically what >>62683550 said but the issue imo is that eveyone on the trust needs to get fingerprinted for every NFA item unless you have a SS profile or some shit. If you keep your shit locked up and let people use it in your presence (you should be) it doesn't matter.

The NFA is a good reminder of what happens to your rights when you aren’t diligent with the defense of your rights. Look how hard it is to even get traction to reclaim our rights.
>>
>>62683598
We are ruled by the lowest denominator. They are regulated because niggers will use them to commit even more crimes. If we lived in an ethnostate like the founding fathers intended it wouldn’t even be an issue.

The NFA was passed in 1934 when all branches of federal government were 99% white
>>

basketball americans could easily be using them right now to commit crimes. Nothing stopping them from robbing a store to get them, ordering them off of wish/temu, or making their own with the pandora's box that was just recently opened. They aren't not intelligent enough most of the time and or too lazy the rest of the time. Would rather go for the easiest and most hood method of killing each other and that's with the glock/hi point and draco.

Anytime additional legal review is required it gives you a really good crutch to complicate their lives and/or weasel your way out when they fail to correctly execute it.
Always throw paperwork at them, they are the ones making you do paperwork in the first place.

My main rifle weighs 10lb 12.5oz with an empty mag, suppressor and LAM mounted. 9lb 1.5oz with neither.

My SBR weighs 7lb 3.5oz with an empty mag and no suppressor or LAM.

My PCC weighs 6lb 4.2oz.

The difference between my PCC and main rifle in practical use is not that significant. You're all overthinking mounts.
