I was a drug addict prior to that though, that's more of a mental state regardless of substances used. From a young age I exhibited those habits (at under 10 I was hiding and drinking cough syrup that contained the active ingredient in benadryl for the drowsy/calm effects) and that just continued to escalate. At one point there were a couple of years straight where I was high and/or drunk from the time I woke up til I went to sleep, but I wasn't physically dependent on anything at all then. Had issues with binges for a long time and I'd take things even if I didn't like them sometimes. I could not even want to be high but if it was there I'd compulsively take whatever and just go for excess in the moment so I could be sober later when it was gone (self control not even an option.) I've cut down what I use, haven't touched pills or anything other than weed in a while, have had more sober days than I had for most of my adult life in the past couple years too. Still an addict though. One probably won't get you good high though that all being said unless it's pretty high mg.
