When you hear people discuss classics they’ve read, women seem much more likely to say Lolita. On Reddit and Twitter threads about it or YouTube analysis or clips from the films, the comments are usually mostly women discussing it.

There is an even a popular fashion trend among women based on it. But why? Where does the fascination come from?

I suspect just as many men would say Lolita if it wasn't viewed as "problematic" by women. Only they're allowed to like it publicly, when men do it it's creepy.
>>
>>25002090
Women value style over substance, and Lolita is one of the most stylish books of all time

Women wish to be the little girl.

>Why is Lolita so popular among women?
probably because most women that are average-looking or better have had experiences with predatory men when they were teenagers.

>Nabakov's excellent prose.
Humbert Humbert's internal monologue is written like a redditor. Part of the point of the book is that he's an insufferable pseudointellectual.

Average love story written by a man
>Self insert author met a slighty average sweet girl that loves him. At worst shes a little too young for him but aside that its a vanilla love story
Average love story written by a woman
>Self insert is an average shy woman that keep switch hardcore sex between sociopatic billionaries, serial killers, vampires and so on that are all mean to anyone and use her as a fucktoy with some lovebombing in between. They are all also in the 0,30% top of male beauty

What caused these two oppositive phenomenons? I read a lot of romantic slop books and can confirm these stereotypes are generally true

I read books/VNs like this

Have you played what men like to consume, video games where they murder and steal?
>>
>>25005699
It's called CK3 and the temptation of murder makes our fantasy characters actually virtuous when they don't murder and stay faithful to their wives, the actual male fantasy.
Any deviation from this is a result of chemicals in the water turning frogs gay.

A silent voice was written by a woman and it fucking sucks. The main character never earns their redemption. This is NPC-core because if you think this movie is romantic, you are a scumbag. I would hate to have you as a partner

The highest form of literature is a play written in poetic meter, all the complexities of the novel with the flowery language of poetry

The height of the arts are found in any *form*

So then the highest form of media would be an epic poem, written in meter, visually acted, with music, that rhymes. Fuck it, throw in some 4d shit like they do in movie theaters.

The reason you don't get women is because you didn't grow up yet, mentally and emotionally. Adults don't gets nervous about socializing or about sex. Doing those things is almost completely instinctual and requires no effort, let alone personal development.

You see Drogo also had a dream that was sold to him by the regime, he was convinced that this is the path to follow and he ignored every sign that pointed at him being wrong. Ultimately he paid the greatest price for his mistake and nothing ever happened.

I honestly am not sure. It's just always been one of those things. Maybe if it becomes suddenly known as opposed to everyone knowing weeks or months in advance, it raises more interest? It's like that with a few sales every year. The "Book Haul" sale where lots of Signed Copies come up for sale and are available is a big secret for some reason, even though 99% of people couldn't care less about signed editions. The Criterion Sale is a big deal to them for some reason. Could possibly be to make sure sales continue up until the sale and so people don't just hold off on their normal, full priced purchases and just wait for the sale instead.

How have you turned knowledge into will thus far?
