It depends on the game and what era you're in. I'm used to a lot of RR pilots not having reliable access to Strike, but they still get deployed because their hit rates are usually acceptable except against RR Bosses or things with Double Image (which are uncommon).
Hit Rates can get really bad during the Alpha Gaiden to Z1 Era though, that's why I always buy S Ranks in the games where you can do so or dump a decent chunk of my BP into Hit (D/J/W).

I think it's best to do two playthroughs and do half the secrets in reach run. Also failing secrets is often the minmax option as the recruitable characters tend to drop very strong parts but I think you should get each secret once.

Back when S1 first aired, it got a lot of shit for being low effort because of the poor early episodes. Its really G that got people got it give a shit about the franchise. Then they proceeded to produce two lame seasons with GX/AXZ and XV was mixed.
Symphogear is really just an excuse for a record company to make some easy cash as the quality is quite hit and miss.
