I'm having a very Horsemas week. Santa had sent message asking if it's ok to give the gift in person on Thursday. I think that's pretty cool and apparantly it saves shipping money too. Today I had a get together with the blob, who unfortunately couldn't rearrange to tomorrow, because then the three of us could hang out together. We mere planning to meet up for some time with the plan to bake a cake. So that's what we did this afternoon. Benevolent Bedlam brought most of the ingredients and utensils too and after we got rid of the slime, we got to work. I might have to do a full report, and hope Bedlam will add to the story, but we made a completely cursed cake. The website with the instructions either doesn't work in my country or it died randomly, but we couldn't consult it. We had to use 2 seperate iced lemon loaf recipes one of which was needlessly vegan and the other was Rarity's. We bought sour cream that we forgot to put in the cake and set the amount of lemon to maxx. We left the house while the cake was baking in the oven and came back to it being slightly burnt (no clue how that could've happened). Some skillful knifework got rif of the burnt top. Gelb glazing (with even more lemon) was then carefully botched and added to the now very thoroughly cursed cake. The unicorn sprinkle on top was the icing on the cake. It actually tastes considerably good even though it looks atrocious. It was a complete blast to make the cake and I had a wonderful time with the blob.What I didn't know was that Bedlam had more in store for me than cursed baking...

So... everything has gone wrong, I was working on my gift and thought I had all the material from a previous purchase, turns out I didn't and it won't be here until after Christmas (I ordered it on the 8th) So I decided to do something i had in mind as a back up involving laser engraving, it was going to be layered plywood art you can hang on the wall and then i'd finish the other thing after Christmas to send off. All that with balancing between work, side jobs and other chores, I've found very little free time to do much. Come tonight I was going to get the layered art done and shipped in the morning (I'm already late as is, i know) but a combination of constant usage with the engraver, the cold weather (i do have multiple safeguards in place to combat the weather but clearly it wasn't enough) and my roommates shit wiring job the last time i got the CO2 tube on my engraver replaced, the wiring melted through the shrink wrap, was arcing to the base of the engraver and then the CO2 tube shattered on top of that...pic relatedSo now the layered art isn't possible, my original gift is delayed until after Christmas, and i'm not really sure what to do, I could send some leftover merch I have from Mare Fair but I'm fairly confident my santee was there and I don't wanna send him something he may have already bought from me there (I also think it's kinda lame for myself to just send merch to someone rather than something unique)So, yeah... really not sure what to do now...
