Makes sense from a pure factory racing practicality standpoint because of the intake noise but is total bullshit for the average person, I mean people bitch about what it costs to make a CBR600 a competitive race bike because it's very slightly more street focused but it's nothing compared to what an R9 will.

So I've been getting more comfortable with backing it into corners by engine braking mostly, just now that I realised all the times my rear stepped out when I emergency braked were likely a newb's version of backing it in because I just had to emergency brake again today and it did the same thing, the feeling was similar.But I used the rear brake instead of downshifting, it doesn't feel like the rear fully locked up no skidding noise. >Mfw I've been kicking the rear out since day 1
