But Porto, despite being the second city of Portugal, does not have the same importance of the other second cities of bigger countries, and it is not economically relevant on the global stage. Sure, it is now a tourist hub, but this is a recent phenomenon. My point is that, before Ryanair came here some 15 years ago, when people first heard of Porto, they would associate it to the club and could not recall anything else. Sure, Porto does have the wine, but I am not sure if it is very known outside the Anglosphere. Eindhoven still has the Phillips company (which also is the genesis of the team) and Turin has other things besides Juventus. Even Nottingham has Robin Hood.What do you think?
