>According to Revista Mundo Ciclistico, Daniel Felipe Martínez recently heard from his team Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe that he will ride the Vuelta a España next month. That round starts on Saturday, August 17. To optimally prepare for the Vuelta, he would skip the Olympic time trial in Paris next Saturday. Martínez would report to France next week to ride the road race together with Santiago Buitrago.

>Antena2 has heard other information in the Martinez case. Administrative problems are said to have occurred, which prevented the 28-year-old climber from traveling to France on time. According to an Antena2 journalist, Martínez has surrendered his passport to the Canadian embassy, because the diptych in Québec and Montreal is on his program, and he has not yet received his passport. That would be the reason why he has to miss the time trial, but can ride the road race on Saturday, August 3.

Thos profiles on the official site and on PCS differ a bit. I thought it was much flatter looking at the official site while I am accustomed to looking at PCS and less on Bertollo's.

In all honesty though Danish food selection in supermarkets is abhorrent. Pure trash. I remember this guy on tv referred to us as Europe's asshole.
Apparently Danish people are so stingy when it comes to groceries, we only get the cheapest shit available. The type of trash they can't sell anywhere else, we get it.
Our meat is from Poland, our fruit is from Morocco and Italy (trust us, it's organic!).

I went to Sweden a month ago and their grocery stores are like castles compared to our shit.

I played the voltagoombling once, last year when I still had little idea of what I was doing but I remember the climbs being proper, as for the official profiles the count is 3 mountains, 2 hilly, 4 sprints + prologue and a TT.
Not so clear cut when you look at exaggerated profiles.

There is literally no well fitting sizing for me in regular shops, tops or bottoms. But since I have my manufacturers and sizes I haven't entered a clothing shop since many years.

He has to surely either buy some skateboarding pants or everything bespoke.

Basically that, but without breadcrumbs. Just a bit flour.
Egg is really essential, and Sriracha too. But had to limit the Sriracha dosage because of female squeaking.

the truth is even more bizarre than you would ever imagine
the actual doping regimen is a mixture of perfluorocarbon injection during racing, recombinant DNA gene therapy expressing the PGC-1α gene with lactate blockers (Metformin) during off season with EPO, HGH and test microdosing for build phase.
How does he get away with this?
He doesn't. Tadej Pogacar is actually an identical twin to Bert Pogacar. Both are somewhat gifted cyclists but it was chosen that Bert Pogacar be the race horse with this extensive doping program, all actual testing is done on Tadej. They usually hide Bert Pogacar in the mattresses they carry around or in the unique washing machines, some of which are fake and empty where one or the other hides.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid

Pog is on 172.5mm now. Having shorter cranks causes your hip flexor so extend less with the pedal stroke and it does make a difference. This should be relative to height anyway. When I first got my bike I was on 175mm and switching to 165 really did a comfort different during long rides and during intense efforts. If they manufactured smaller I'd probably try 155-150mm to see how it's like. 172.5 to 175mm are just industry standards anyway, there's no biomechanic study behind it

>172.5 to 175mm are just industry standards anyway
That's what I don't get. I have always been on 170mm, and only tried longer crank arms and found them to be uncomfortable.
Even small frame sizes now come with 172.5 and not with 170mm.
Granted, 165mm also helps some chute merchants to corner.
Also, don't you need more power with shorter cranks?
(shorter lever arm --> more power for the same torque)
Or you can use a smaller gear to achieve the same torque while pedaling faster...
>>
>>142967412

Just go harder works everytime.
I still have deadlift and squat technique issues, want to have it dialed in before I move up with the weight.
But I watch "my favorite youtubers" and their technique is also just so-so, they simply go hard and power through.

So I went and powered through a set of weight I am usually ending with a single, because it becomes uncomfortable and awkward with the technique.
And nothing hurts, I feel the growing sensation, can't wait to go again.

Just pedal harder.

>>
>>142967412
Well in my case I switched from 50/34 at 175 to 52/36 at 165 because I was aware of that possible torque issue so it didn't really change much. You'd have to do some research online on the effects of crank length at the same gearing. But the hip and knee comfort gain makes it worth a try alone

No I took some time to dial my saddle in perfectly so as to not have any knee pressure due to a low saddle but no knee overextension due to a high saddle. The pedal stroke going over the top just always felt bad on a 175. And having a tall inseam relative to general height made it that I were always destined to have a lower positioned body on the bike so I needed something to alleviate and open my hip flexors

So the benefit with short cranks is what they make possible in terms of bike fit. If you don't have problems with longer cranks and you're not looking for marginal gains there's no benefit in changing. There's plenty of studies that show your power output will be pretty much the same on all reasonable crank lenghts, from like 140 to 200. Yes you bave slightly less leverage with shorter cranks but shorter cranks also means less leg speed so keeping higher cadence is easier. It's all irrelevant as long as you have appropriate gearing for the terrain so you get to ride at your preferred cadence.

However if you have knee or hip impingement issues then shorter cranks can definitely help.

In terms of pro use they make certain fit changes possible. Paired with forward saddles you're opening up your hip angle a lot and it means you can get lower and more aero without thigh clearance and hip impingement issues. Also if you're going super marginal gains and don't have clearance issues with longer cranks you can lower your saddle with shorter cranks to get lower on the bike which is an aero improvement while keeping the same hip angle as longer cranks.

All of these changes together bring you further forward on the bike and rotates you more on top of the BB. Which also brings some issues with modern race bike geometries. You need massive stems to have appropriate reach with the new position. I'd like to see race bikes gain ~5 cm of reach while keeping the same stack. Of course that would make the bikes unusable for anyone who isn't subscribing to the new fit philosophy because most people couldn't just add 5 cm reach to their bike without it completely ruining it for them. I have a 140 mm stem right now and even that feels quite short when in an aero position. Longer front centers would also completely remove all toe overlap issues.

The issue with this is that while the general bike fitting meta for pros is to get more and more forward with your seat pendulum point as vertically aligned with the BB as possible which is the logical outcome for power output the general population which buys bike gets fatter and less fit as bikes become crazily out of reach to teenagers/young adults. You can't make bikes tailored for 22 years old with a great power output while the actual consumer base are 55 years old sedentaries who ride bikes to get away from their family on the weekends

>>142969427
Exactly. The pro/race fits are moving further and further away from regular people fits. It used to be just more drop and a bit more reach. But now it's hell of a lot more reach as everything is pushed further forward and everyone is rotated over the BB so the effect is even bigger as they can get further forward. And to top it all off narrow bars require more reach.

It's getting close to the point where they need Pro and Fred geometries. Which honestly would be the best for everyone. Right now the current geometries don't really work for the Fred crowd but they don't work that well fornthe pros either. Just remove all the endurance bikes and make two geometries of the race bike.

Rare broken clock moment from Jens. UCI is pretty based from the Gran Fondo series and amateur world champs though.

>>142970529
Yeah I just mass quoted everyone in the thread. 5 mm can make a huge difference or none at all. It all depends on if you're over the limit in the aero position and if that 5 mm brings you below the limit for your physiology.

I have like half a dozen Rotor crank arms in different lengths and have tested them. As long as the cranks aren't too long the length doesn't matter much. But on 165 mm cranks I still have my thighs hitting my chest when I've got my chin at the stem. So using "normal" length cranks would definitely hamper my performance in an aero position.

You have to be already corrupted to get into any position of power, you already have to either be able to fulfill the interests of enough inside factions who run illicit activities and probably you also already have to have some blackmail on you.
Some people will just run their course and blackmail starts showing up when its time to install someone else or be dumb and think they can outplay the system.

I have that when hearing unnecessary noises. I know, maybe autism and shit but it drives me up the wall when I hear subhuman music blasting out of bluetooth speakers, children squealing from the top of their lungs or gypsies/eastoids being loud in their reptile languages.
But I am passive aggresive, I will say "shut the fuck" up but just barely audible, so they maybe hear it and think I said it to myself a bit too loud while meaning it for them.
