Now he’s mainly looking to exploit the space in behind the defence & he’s in position & ready.2) A far more active role without the ball. Partly facilitated by the fact that he’s no longer losing energy fighting for every ball in midfield. Was active right until the final whistle. Doing a lot of dirty work in the press. Whereas under Allegri he was mostly used in that semi-passive deep block role.Even though it’s early, Motta is clearly a better fit for him.
