>Premier League clubs frustrated by secrecy surrounding Man City’s 115 charges hearing
>Public details of the City charges have been restricted only to a basic list of the rules and seasons of each alleged breach and, while photographs have emerged of legal teams arriving at an arbitration centre in London, even the location of the hearing was kept under wraps.
something fishy going on
>>
>>144478916
it's not a court case
it's an independent panel and city's law team basically debating for 3 months
>>
>The panel, by a two to one majority, found “there is no doubt” the club’s main sponsor Etihad “fully complied” with its agreed payments to City, its sponsorship was “fair value” and there is no evidence its payments actually came from City’s parent company Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG).
Wow, it's almost like everything they accuse City of is bullshit
>>
>>144478481
United poaching another one!
>>
>>144479132
surely the panel are the ones adjudicating and City's lawyers will be arguing with the PL's lawyers?
>>
>>144479164
PL's lawyers are the one presenting evidence to the independent panel (which was picked by the PL)
then city's lawyers have to present evidence themselves to argue the PL
it's nothing like a court case whatsoever
it will be held in some fancy office somewhere
>>
>>144479134
It's going to be glorious how much the red customers will seethe when city are found innocent
>>
>>144479134
This is what I don't understand. They must have some other case they're working with. If Masters has orchestrated this whole circus solely because third worlders on twitter pressured the PL into it I have no words.
>>
>>144479183
idk anon, sounds a lot like a court case. two parties arguing and an adjudicating panel deciding

>>144479232
i wonder if they'll talk about time barred as if time barred is the same as guilty
>>
>>144479232
won’t actually matter, their ,reputation’ has been tarnished forever and every subsequent attempt to white wash it will only result in more accusations. Rightfully so mind you, it’s clear as day that there is a whole lot of shady dealings in the background. If you are that rich you basically can get away with anything.
>>
Unitedsisters, I thought we were getting free league titles...
>>
>>144479269
it's been tarnished by biased opposing fans talking rubbish. but that's easy to clear up when you point out to them that it was never proven that Mansour put his own money in via sponsorship, it was found that the sponsor deal was fair value and that the only thing City was punished for was not complying with the investigation
>>
>>144479269
the reputation of the other clubs being against competition and trying to bring down a rival is what's been fucking tarnished
>>
>>144479269
Seething bitch. City did nothing that Chelsea didn't do 20 years ago.
>>

They keep repeating this over and over it perfectly sums up what's wrong with today's game. These players might as well be royalties at this point. They have ZERO understanding of what it means to lead a normal life.
What they describe as unbearable (and it is) is just a normal life. Literally a 9-5 where you have to work all the fucking time to the point where you're so exhausted that you're running on 50% at all times of the day. Feeling like a zombie at work and zoning out at home with your family in a desperate attempt to recharge for the day after.
The only difference is these faggots make 100x as much as the average worker.

It should legit be mandatory training to work a minimum wage job for two years before you could become an athlete. Then these dogs would happily play a game every single day.

Meh don’t know about that, they have been tactically found out and their only close to WC quality player in Son is in the twilight of his career. Their signings have, in my opinion, been totally overpriced and overhyped and they have spent what in the last two windows 400 million or something ? They barely improved the team if any at all. Solanke gets a lot of flak for his 65 million price tag but Johnson for 50 million ? They are just super bad at recruiting despite having a shit ton of money.

It seems like they're going down the road of investing in promising youth players so they'd probably argue they're a few years away from being their strongest. recent signings like Gray, that swedish guy, the black guy, the korean guy etc point to this
I agree signings like Johnson have not worked. jury still out on Solanke. but these were signings made to improve the first team immediately which haven't really worked
>>
>>144483009
Unironically yes. I could support Thomas Jensen because he drove basically the same car as my dad and vacationed at the same All You Can Eat shart-tier hotels as the local plumbers in Mallorca during the summer.
I can't support Danza Kuduro making 300k a week, who's taking private jets to 6* hotels in Ibiza for his midweek getaways 30 times a year.
They're aliens now.

>>144483063
When they played fewer games they all smoked and didn't go to the gym and the people adored them anyway. The only football player in the last 50 years who can say he gave it 100% is Cristiano Ronaldo.
We just wanna see some fucking goals, it's not cirque du soleil. If everyone's tired we'll see the same amount of goals. No one gives a fuck about athletes being at 100%, just look at the NBA

City have like 5 or 6 charges to worry about. All from 2015-2017. They won't get shit for some ancient breach (at a time when people didn't care either). It's a nothing burger

Liverpool were pipped from a Champions League spot in 2022-23 and what do you know, this star chamber nonsense against City gets rushed through a year later. Why is there no inquest over the American influence on the Premier League? These owners are smarting because they lost money and they see the clubs as investments, it's the whole reason they want to close shop and do away with promotion/relegation.
>>
>>144479264
>idk anon, sounds a lot like a court case. two parties arguing and an adjudicating panel deciding

I am a qualified lawyer and former adjudicator. Adjudication is not like an adversarial court case. It is actually a softer alternative to conforntational court case. Realistically adjudication (like arbitration) is not respected in the legal world.

This City hearing sounds like a tribunal though, like a softer court case which is non-legally binding but agreed by both parties. E.g. if City got found guilty they could appeal the ruling to a higher legally binding court, or CAS (court arbitration sport).

The idea that the City investigation is cause of an agenda by Arsenal and Liverpool or any other team is delusional.

City have clearly been financially doping, everything from hidden payments and salaries, fake sponsorships and partnerships, the loan system.. the whole thing is a bit of a joke. Ultimately I expect City to get away with it based entirely on the 'but Chelsea are worse than us' argument.

City went from a nothing club in the 2000's to the most successful English club of the 2010's, and the maybe the most dominant club in the world in the 2020's. They clearly brought that position however they could.

Nothing I said was misleading or wrong. Man City have clearly been doing financial doping for almost 15 years. Their rise from a midtable team to a global sporting juggernaut was propped up by a state willing to break every financial barrier in the pursuit of international sporting glory.

Nothing about Man City's rise to the top of football has been ethical. I don't see how you can bring Arsenal and Liverpool into this and say they are mad at City so want them banished.

Your view is myopic and you are kind of deflecting from the issue at heart - Manchester City and Abu Dhabi Group's financial doping.
>>
>>144486861
Mancini City era is extremely underrated in the grand scheme of premier league. Even with all those huge financial resources, closing the gap to Man United and winning a league title with an extremely attacking team was a huge achievement - City's improvement between 2009 and 2011 was exceptional, and Mancini had a strong attacking philosophy.

Also Mancini was coming into the league as the best manager from Serie A, high praise indeed. Part of me is a bit surprised he never came back to the prem, but I think it's a good decision by him

I can bring up quite easily because it's the only meaningful issue here. Again, can you answer yes or no as to whether Arsenal & Liverpool have a conflict of interest? If the answer is yes then we have to expand on that. Are you aware of just how many clubs in or around the top flight have American owners? Or how fraternal these owners are in private? Right now it would only take one or two more clubs for an American bloc to have a majority vote in the Premier League. You have West Brom & Burnley both coming up and sooner or later Everton'll be taken over too.

I'm far from being the first person to talk about this elephant in the room:
https://archive.is/v2jCY

Let's be very conservative and say Liverpool reaches Ro16 for say eight seasons. (In reality they won once and were runners-up twice with Klopp). That's 100m in European prize money alone. And you believe Fenway wouldn't be furious at losing that money? Is that how you think investment firms are run? Yes or no.

>For now, it is difficult to know where he will end up next. Williams has not played in 2024. His story is complicated and, though there are lots of people who want to be supportive of him, it is no exaggeration to say his future is uncertain. Without wishing to sound alarmist, not everyone connected with United is convinced he will return to the highest level of football until he has fully reassessed his life and priorities.

If you are not familiar with Harpurhey, it is still suffering, reputation-wise, from being named by a government study in 2007 as the most deprived neighbourhood in England and also being the subject of a BBC Three series, People Like Us, that held it up for ridicule in what one newspaper called “pantomime poverty”.With his tough streetwise edge, Williams was a product of that environment. His first experiences of football came on a concrete caged pitch, often against much older boys.

I actually read about that experiment years ago. What he's saying is sort of true in that they said good and bad things to water, froze them both, and the "good" water had cute crystals and the "bad" water had horrible crystals.
They were basically saying the water is "alive" and understands human morality. The problem is they also used words of subjective morality too. Some words weren't ambiguous, ones like "love" and "hate", but they also used words like "Hitler" which is completely subjective imho. Yeah, he struggled with perspective in his paintings, but I'm not really sure you can call him evil off the back of that and the water certainly wouldn't know it. Water doesn't even know what a vanishing point is.

Nah so this was the story at the time then Real Madrid got all embarrassed at the prospect of them still using fax, their fanbase is infamously rabid and started sending in death threats via carrier pigeon or blotter-paper-wrapped-around-rock, so they started spreading around via their media sources that actually they do use computers but they were running an old operating system so couldn't open the pdf.
I think we can rule out anything other than Windows - I don't see RM operating Debian or similar. Windows XP and better could have opened any pdf at that time so in all fairness it COULD have been any Windows up to Windows ME - but I do like to use poetic licence to say it was 95.

The issue I have is that before, if you fucked up, you could at least get a chance of Europa. You don't get that now. The Top 8 being the guys who get through sucks and it is completely dependent on draws, so instead of
>Okay we got a shit group but we can try and get out of it or try for Europa
It's now
>Okay we got a shit fixture list, there is absolutely no benefit for trying for draws
I understand the 'muh attacking' attitude this is suppose to create but it leads to shit like the 9-2 tonight

Jorginho was an emergency signing because Partey got injured again. Turns out it wasn't a terrible buy. Zinchenko is an odd one. Guy isn't a defender. Dunno why he isn't used as a winger. Sterling is the oddest one. I found out much Chelsea are paying too, they're paying £200k of his £320k. So Arsenal are paying less than 50% of his wages with NO loan fee. Not that I think Sterling will do anything.

>Kennedy was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease by a specialist on 4 November 1984.
>His wife, Jennifer, left him in October 1987 after he punched her in the face and kicked her down the stairs of the family home; this ended a difficult 15-year marriage blighted by frequent infidelity on his part.[111]
>teammates Steve Heighway and Phil Thompson noted that Kennedy was a "quiet man", though "women were always chasing after him" and "off the pitch he needed to be handled quite gently, and everything had to be organised just right otherwise there would be trouble".[112] Completing a bad end to 1987, his licence at the Melton Constable was revoked.[113] His prescribed L-DOPA medication also became less effective and he became increasingly isolated.[114] His condition improved when he began injections of apomorphine.[115] He was reliant on the Professional Footballers' Association to pay his medical expenses, and his divorce as well as business and tax problems wiped out his savings.[116] A testimonial match was held between Arsenal and Liverpool in April 1991.[117] A charity appeal was also set up to help pay his living costs.[118] In late 1992 he began suffering from extreme paranoia, mostly due to the side effects of his medication, but regained his mental faculties following a short stay in hospital.[119]
>Later that year he sold his collection of medals and international caps to raise funds.[121] In 2002, he was reported as living alone in a bungalow in New Hartley.[122] In an interview two years later, he said that he suffered from loneliness and hallucinations due to his condition and the side effects of his medication.[123] Following the interview a Liverpool fan bought Kennedy a computer, which allowed him to make friends on football chat rooms

I just gave you an example where somebody who comes second gets updated to first when the person who won first cheated. Why is this so difficult for you? If you win by cheating, then you did not win fair and within the rules you and other teams agreed to. Therefore you did not 'win' fairly and if you are stripped of the titles, it goes to the person who came 2nd. Just like it does in the Olympics and Formula 1 and loads of other sports. Why is football suddenly a unique case? Cretin.
