>Luckily the last few weeks have given me some time to digest everything and make new plans. So as I mentioned above I still love to compete, and I want to continue doing that. I’ve found my biggest success so far in E-Cycling and I still love it and especially how the sport is evolving right now makes me want to continue my career down this path. But there’s also the Gravel Scene that I want to discover and see what I can achieve there. So still plenty of opportunities and I’m certain I will find more joy in doing that and can fulfill myself

looks like at the moment UCI doesn't limit width for gravel events (I'm not even sure if this one was under UCI). while I was looking for this information, turns out there were some rule changes for CX tyre width to accommodate fatties.

>After a barrage of complaints over the last few years, the UCI has agreed to reconsider the rule and create a new set of standards that will be based on racer weight, albeit via a confusing, somewhat complicated formula.

To train more seriously and regularly, especially during the winter, I wonder if I should buy a Wahoo Kickr Core Zwift One (the one with the Zwift Cog).

I don't think I'll take the annual (((Zwift))) subscription, which is reduced to €150 if purchased with the Wahoo, because the monthly subscription is €20 and I'll be riding outdoors during a good part of the spring and summer months in my opinion.

It costs €500: https://eu.zwift.com/fr/products/wahoo-kickr-core-zwift-one?variant=46439281426683

Big question is whether Memco will join or not.
If not I don't get their strategy. Spending all this money just to have a mountain train for Roglic who won't win the Tour and won't win any other grand tour if Vingo, Remco or Vingo show up (and even if they don't, nobody cares enough about the Vuelta or Giro to spend that much money).
Lipowitz, Vlasov, etc. can all top 5 but that's not enough.

>Fun fact: the banana peel is fruitful too. There are several reasons why cyclists should be consuming the banana peel as well as the banana itself. In fact, the peel is believed to be more nutritious than the pulp. Packed with even more vitamin A, potassium, fibre and antioxidants, the banana skin protects your eyes, helps your heart, improves mood and can help you lose weight.

what type of sex offender eats the banana skin? never heard of that in my life. if a lad started munching on the peel on a group ride he'd be sent straight home for making us feel uncomfortable.

It's still llitter, I was joking about eating the peel but I do keep it in my pocket with all my other trash on my rides. Nobody wants to see a bunch of blackened banana or orange peels lying strewn around nature. It takes 2 years to decompose

>sometimes i will get awoken in the middle of the night before a race to the phone ringing from teams giving their start list as late as 4 o clock at night. >Sometimes i wish it would've be done during the day before a race but there's no rules against that.
>you would think they would know who they are sending by 17:00 the day before the race but sometimes they don't.
>I always wonder if the riders only find out they are racing at that late hour as well.

You city people are so disconnected with nature lmfao.

I throw them in my garden with my plants every time I eat one. In a few days they're shrunken and black, in a few weeks they're gone.
They're supercompost, especially my roses like them.
Even throw some in my watering cans to enrich the water.

What's next? Taking home your apple cores?

>Thankfully, there are several factors that make death-by-apple-seed very unlikely. First, the amygdalin is accessible only if the seeds have been crushed or chewed; a whole unbroken seed will pass right through. Second, the human body can process HCN in small doses, so a couple of chewed seeds are usually completely harmless. Finally, the average adult would need to eat anywhere from 150 to several thousand crushed seeds (depending on the apple variety) to be at risk of cyanide poisoning. The average apple contains only about five to eight seeds. So unless someone is eating their 18th consecutive apple core and has been meticulously chewing all the seeds, they should be fine with their occasional absentminded core chomping.
Best case I'm slowly building up resistance against cyanide poisoning, making it harder to posion me.

mywhoosh is the best free app i think is fair to say because it has a 3d engine, structured workouts, terrain variation and all the zwift stuff except there are way less people

for a simpler experience i also have the Wahoo app on my phone, which is just a very basic app that you can record a workout with for strava, and you can tell it to like give you 200W resistance so sometimes I like to just try to pedal a target wattage for like an hour and for that it's very convenient and simple experience without all the gamifying. also free

like all others said, Zwift is probably the most polished and most fun one and they usually have some free trials, so just test it out (if they don't have some running at the moment you can do 20km for free every month)

mywhoosh is okish and free so I use it from time but it's just a lot less polished than zwift and not too many people use it

if you're the based kind of autist just use some number crunching thing like GoldenCheetah and watch at charts while raping
