Absolutely nothing to do with what I just said of him getting knocked down by a talentless crotchsniffer, where he would have had his head caved in under MMA rules. The best he could do on his feet was hug and dive into the Niggbus own crotch and take it to a horrible decision. Kill yourself or grow the fuck up and get over your Gypsy worship.

If you get stunned round 1 it's basically over. It's one thing to go down in later rounds when ur tired and taken lots of damage already but if your legs give out round 1 when you are fresh you are fucked fucked. Why was Murtazaliev on nobody's radar?
>>
Desu this is career altering for Tim. Fundora loss took a lot out of him and made him paranoid about the cut in this fight. This fight he took a lot of damage. He's in a similar position Berlanga and Anderson were, prospect-level skills but ranked or hyped high enough that they can't fight too many cans. Unfortunately for Tim, there's no Turki or Bud payday for him now.
>>
>>145167724
>maybe being a nepobaby gave him false delusion
I think he was saying stuff people liked so they hyped him up and he bought into that hype. Honestly Tim takes pride in the dumbest things like how his corner didn't stop the Fundora fight when they should've, he's probably pissed his corner stopped it instead of getting ktfo.
>>
>>145168147
Since when did Dwyer started gatekeeping his predictions? Guess he wanted the money...

>>145168434
He said he was drained most of his fights due to fighting near Ramadan. Also, Tim's style was ready made for him. Tim's a banger, but Bakhram is a BIGGER banger. He basically kills himself to make 154.
>>
>>145168505
I'll definitely be watching this guy after this. He destroyed Timmy
>>
>>145168434
The most notable name on Murta's ledger is Jack Culcay which isn't that notable. Maybe Tim's matchmaker was cherry picking a guy that had a good record and wouldn't be hard to find.
>>
>>145168473
Ortiz is still on the table.
>>
>>145168072
Feels like Tim got hit with one of those equilibrium shots. Guy kept hitting him right on Tim's temple. He was never really able to recover. He took a lot of damage tonight.
>>
>>145168561
>cherry picking a champ with high KO%
unlikely. seems more like they didn't respect him or had an actual gameplay, or tim ignored it when he thought his scar reopened.
>>
>>145168575
Ortiz hits hard as well. That might be just as dangerous. Tim needs a soft touch after that. He needs some time off too
>>
>>145168624
Hits hard but not too hard, also has rhabdo issues. They're a good matchup for each other.
>>
>>145168650
If he wins it's a huge comeback fight.
If he loses, it's possibly career ending.
>>
Crawford is not unifying this division at all. He was probably hoping Tim would win.
>>
Maybe this is a wake up call for Timmy. His entire career, he's been knocking people out because of his power. He had no defense, and just walked dudes down. But tonight be faced a bigger man who could punch harder than he can. He had no Plan B, he can't fight on the back foot, and now he got exposed. Don't think he can somehow, miraculously develop defense suddenly. And he was talking about moving up to 160 as well lmao. He's going to get bullied even harder up there, even if it's a pretty empty division.

Still interested in seeing Murta in the future. We KNOW he can punch and he can TAKE punches. But how well can he box? Can a slick mover dance around him for 12 rounds? Or does he have more tools in his toolbox?

154 is getting heated.
>>
>>145168684
This is true for both fighters.
>>
>>145168575
Not after tonight and even Tim admits that

"Tszyu admirably agreed to fight Vergil Ortiz Jnr before the damaging cut he suffered against Fundora dictated that he would not be ready.

The circumstances surrounding that fight mean that, unusually, defeat hasn’t set him back, but he recognizes that a second successive defeat on Saturday will do so, and therefore that it is a considerable risk."

>>145168820
I missed the first part of the fight, but watch some of the later knockdowns. He was getting hit right in his temple, and even close to back of the head. Reminds me a bit of Beterbiev's style lol. But yeah Tim got touched everywhere. I feel sorry for him.
>>
>>145168843
Those are both great fights to make. Fundora would be the easier choice, but I'm more interested to see the Bakhram fight
>>
>>145168621
>seems more like they didn't respect him or had an actual gameplay
In interviews before the fight, Tim said he didn't watch any of Murta's previous fights. Talk is talk, he could be hiding his gameplan, but tonight it looked like he had ZERO gameplan. Maybe he was telling the truth in that he didn't even prepare for this fight and just came in as is.
>>

He kinda burnt the bridge with Turki. Turki wanted to pay him for some big Saudi fight, but Tim fucked him off preferring to fight in the states/Straylia.

As badly as Broner fucking his money up with telling Roc Nation to fuck off.
>>
>>145169001
If you look at any of his other fights Tim's never had any gameplan other then be offensive. Tim thinks fights are won by having big balls, well guess what Fundora took your left ball and Murt took your right so you got no balls left.

>>
>>145171027
Was he mandatory for charlo?
>>
>>145171101
Yes. He could either take money and not call his shot, or he could take the shot, win an empty title, and make shit money defending it against nobodies. He wasn't a draw and couldn't sell due to not being able to speak English. Fought on PBC cards there weren't even televised. His step asides were probably much more than what he got paid for his fights.
>>
I'd say Bakhram is a theoretically winnable fight for Crawford but it's not one he's going to take. Too high risk for no reward. The paycheck won't be great, if he wins people will discredit it, and there's a real chance he won't win.
If I was his manager I'd just try to get him in there with Fundora and try to get the Canelo fight. 154 is starting to become a strong division again and Crawford is getting too old
>>
>>145167027
If Timmy fights Madrimov like he fought tonight he's getting his shit kicked. Crawford is much better defensively and even he had troubles getting a bead on Madrimov's attack patterns. That cannon right is going to knock his fucking head off
>>
>>145171369
I seriously have no understanding of what Crawford is planning. He could've enforced his WBO mandatory and challenged Fundora for both his belts, making him a 3-belt champion. Instead, he stepped aside, allowing Fundora to make a defense against Spence. But we still don't know if Spence will take that fight, he's been out for a year and a half, and would be looking at 2 years out of the ring if he decides to get off his ass and fight Fundora.

Crawford doesn't have much time like you said, but he's still dicking around not fighting when given the opportunity. He could've been a 3-belt holder by the end of 2024, but he's not.
>>
>>145171369
154 is Crawford's natural division actually. Its his natural weight but he just decided to weight bully in the lower classes. When Crawford was at 140, he was hydrating up to 160. 154 is going to expose that fraud.

In the post fight presser, Murta said if would like to fight Fundora, Crawford, or Spence. And if he can't get those fights, he'd move up to 160. If Crawford was younger, he could wait Murta out and then grab his belt after he vacates. Can't do that now since he's older. Don't see him becoming undisputed in 3 weight classes.

>>145171515
Even then this is a stupid move by Bud. We all know Cinnamon fights in May and September. Bud beat Madrimov in August, if he wants to be in a good position for Canelo he should have got another fight in by end of 2024 and put himself in much better negotiating position for a big fight in 2025. Instead he sits out for another year gathering dust and rust waiting on a payday that will never come.

Fundora is still raw, he literally got lucky and won a title thanks to a freak elbow against Tszyu. He would have gotten stopped by Bohachuk if that fight had gone ahead as planned, and he would have gotten stopped if little Timmy had clear vision for 12 rounds. Fundora’s height makes him tricky, but he wouldn’t stand a chance against Bud.

I wish these guys all just moved up to 160, there's no purpose for 154. Its one of the stupidest artificial divisions there is. Please. You have to ignore Bud. I liked Bud a lot more before he started running his mouth after the Spence fight. He’s constantly saying stupid shit that he thinks sounds smart and acting like if you don’t agree it’s because you aren’t as knowledgeable as him. He did this same “the fans DKSAB” when people rightfully started labeling Shakur as a boring fighter. He tried the same shit acting like he knew all along that Madrimov was as good as he looked against Bud and the fans were ignorant accusing him of cherry picking, which is obviously horseshit because Madrimov has NEVER shown that style/capability prior to that fight (Bud himself said he had trouble because he was training expecting Madrimov to be a come forward aggressive fighter, not the patient skilled counterpuncher than showed up that night).

Now he’s gonna act like everyone in the know knew all along that Murta is a blow Tim Tsyzu out of the water in 3 rds fighter, but neither he nor any other “expert” ever said as much and all the fans are stupid? Bud is full of shit.
>>
>>145175087
Murtazaliev fucked up. He should have made the fight into a 12th round KO or a UD at least. Now, it seems Fraud is going to duck him. Lol.
>>
>>145175938
How many people are going to be clamoring to fight Murta now? You fucking KNOW Fundora will want nothing to do with him how he's been acting after the Tszyu fight.
>>
>>145176566
Well Fundora is the biggest fraud in 154 who got gifted a lucky belt so that’s not saying much. The fight to make is honestly Murta/Madrimov.
>>
>>145176629
I read comments that apparently Murta and Madrimov already fought in the amateurs. Not sure if its true though.

Yeah I’m not even sure what fans he’s referring to. I’ve seen plenty of people saying Murtazaliev was no pushover and a tough test for Tim in the last few weeks. Like, what boxing fan beyond the most casual of casuals is sleeping on any guy coming out of Eastern Europe/Russia? The secret is out. We all know they fight 3 million amateur fights and come to the pro ranks ready to take the world by storm fairly quickly. And Murta was 22-0 with 17 KOs. The record itself made it obvious he was more than a bum.

I think you have to remember that Murtazaliev has had a kind of backrooms career before last night. He's been on deep PBC undercards fighting guys who are levels below him. So sometimes you don't know how serious he's taking those fights. And he wasn't scoring huge KOs in all of those fights either. So youve got a guy fighting on deep undercards against guys levels below him, more than happy to take step-aside money from charlo for YEARS. So again you wonder how serious he is, fighting this level of competition and not trying to press his mandatory status against Charlo. And then he goes to Germany to fight Jack Culcay, and doesn't look great.

So you put all this together
-Good fighter but fighting guys below his level
-not trying to fight the top guy in his weight class
-not great in his last fight

So people didn't really know who Bakhram would be on fight night because he'd never had to be himself, or if he was it was off tv.
>>
The thing I'm watching for now is how Tim reacts to his corner throwing in the towel. In the Fundora fight Tim was adamant that if his corner stopped the fight he would've fired them, Tim would rather have gone out on his shield. If Tim says 'my corner stopped it and I'm okay with that', that would signify a major change in his mentality, his doggedness and Thunderdome 2 men enter 1 man leaves mindset. That mentality is Tim's best weapon and if that wavers then Tim is in for a world of pain.

His style already has him in a world of pain. Against people who throw straight punches like Fundora, he has his right forward parrying and catching everything. Any time he moves in close he is so susceptible to hooks. It's no wonder Bakhram crushed him with four separate ones.

think i'm gonna rescore crawford madrimov tonight, thought crawford won 8-4 the first time around, didnt really understand the whole robbery angle people were trying to push. madrimov boxed well at points but he reminded me of Scull against Shiskin last night, far too willing to land one good punch and then not do much else for the rest of the round. only difference is that shiskins pressure was worse than crawfords and shiskin got hurt a few times coming in
>>
>>145178793
Well that’s exactly my point. Bud acts like IYKYK about a guy NO ONE knew could do that as if the fans were ignorant and him and the rest of the pro boxing world knew Murta was a sleeper.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with the aspect of what he’s saying that is “don’t call guys bums just because they’re not some big name”, but let’s be honest here: his statement is basically about trying to get credit for fighting no name guys that catch fighters by surprise. He’s trying to spin this into “We know guys like Murta/Madrimov are a bigger deal than y’all do,” and that’s simply not true. Sure, fighters appreciate that a guy like a Madrimov or a Murta is still dangerous, but Bud is lying through his fucking teeth if he pretends he thought Madrimov was gonna push him the way he did to the point where most people thought he lost the fight. He would NEVER have taken the fight if he thought was even a possibility. He thought Madrimov was a solid fighter, but ultimately low hanging fruit to get a belt for his campaign at 154. And instead got out outboxed for most of the fight until he figured out Madrimov late in the fight. Did he show he was the better fighter in the long run? Sure, but there’s really no question Madrimov booked more rounds.

It’s not even serious boxing fans calling a guy like a Murta or Madrimov bums because they don’t know them, it’s casuals. Obviously they don’t know anything so what point is he making pointing that out? Even /box/ generally doesn’t engage with that level of boxing discourse. Why is he?
>>
>>145178793

I only saw him once before, fighting on a Canelo undercard against a Spanish guy who fiddled him around for 12 rounds, he didn’t look very impressive and I imagine many wrote him off as a serious contender after that. Still, everyone has off nights (Beterbiev for example has plenty of them)

youre reading way to heavily into this. anyone who understands boxing somewhat past the surface level should know its completely retarded to call ANYONE at that level a bum seriously and not just as a joke. Especially if that fighter is a current world champion. they are all threats.
>He’s trying to spin this into “We know guys like Murta/Madrimov are a bigger deal than y’all do,” and that’s simply not true.
Yes it fucking is, especially for someone like crawford who is one of the best boxers in the whole sport today, if you think guys like him, usyk or inoue do not/have not studied tape constantly of potential opponents then you are a fool. murtzaliev has been a champion for about half a year now, and crawford had been looking at moving up for a long time, murtzaliev was likely one of the options he was looking at before settling on fighting madrimov. he 100% does know how dangerous he is. do you seriously he think he would just walk into the madrimov fight thinking he would win it easily? us /box/ posters might be a bit more knowledgeable than most boxing fans, but if you seriously think we even grasp a quarter as much as guys like crawford do about the sport you are retarded lmao
>>
>>145184385
>if he pretends he thought Madrimov was gonna push him the way he did to the point where most people thought he lost the fight
>most people thought he lost
That's a stretch.
Bud clearly took Madrimov seriously and gave him respect in the fight, and fought cautiously because he understood the danger involved. Tim did take Murta seriously and tried to just trade and hope he wins. Between the two, one looked like an amateur, and the other looked like a seasoned professional.

>He thought Madrimov was a solid fighter, but ultimately low hanging fruit
You're claiming to know his thought process when you dont. Just say you don't know. You can assume that's what he thought, but you really don't know.

>there's really no question Madrimov booked more rounds
Extreme exaggeration.

>It’s not even serious boxing fans calling a guy like a Murta or Madrimov bums because they don’t know them, it’s casuals.
There was hardly a single soul in this thread who took either guy seriously, but especially Murtazaliev. I didn't hear a PEEP about the guy. So the so called KSAB'rs were real quiet about this fighter, and most considered this to be an easy win for Tim, including the bookies who are supposed to understand probabilities better than your average layman, and usually get it right.

>>145185762
>Yes it fucking is

No, it fucking isn’t. Bud has been trying to make a Canelo fight happen since beating Spence. It’s his primary focus. Do you really think he’s taking any fight that seems like it might put that in serious jeopardy? He absolutely expected to win over Madrimov, don’t kid yourself.

Obviously a fighter studies his opponent at a level fans don’t, but you can’t know more about them than is out there to know. Period. Again, Bud himself admitted that he expected and trained for a totally different Madrimov than showed up on fight night; the same Madrimov any fan who’d followed Madrimov’s career would have seen too. He’s not some savant fortune teller that looks at tape of a guy and trains for some imaginary evolution of the guys next level that only he as a pro fighter can envision. Stop with the cap.
>>
>>145185927
>You're claiming to know his thought process when you dont. Just say you don't know. You can assume that's what he thought, but you really don't know.

thats not being in someones head, thats just correctly analysing how the fights played out.
Crawford fought Madrimov and was cautious, he clearly was taking him seriously and didnt think he could just walk through him like nothing as he understood madrimov WAS a threat
Tim went in there and fought like an absolute retard with his hands low, thinking he could just demolish Bakhram like nothing.
>>
>>145187429
>thats not being in someones head, thats just correctly analysing how the fights played out

No. Analyzing the fight is making statements solely about what’s happening in the ring. As soon as you make a statement about the fighters state of mind as a “why” for what you see them actually doing, you’re being a mind reader. You have no idea how seriously Tim took Murta. Just because he fought poorly doesn’t mean he didn’t train hard, that he didn’t study his opponent, that there wasn’t something else going on we don’t know about, etc. Same goes for the fact that just because Bud fought well doesn’t mean we know he took things seriously. He’s a generational talent; he’ll beat most guys fighting at 60% of what he’s capable of.

In the beginning Mike did take his training very seriously, studied old film, at the instructions of Cus D'amato of course. His performance was good when he was taking things seriously. When he lost Cus and then got rid of Kevin Rooney, he stopped training as hard, started partying more, and his performance plummeted as a result. Mike USED to be a student of the game in the beginning!

>>145183574
After rewatching, I dont know why I compared it to the Scull/Shiskin fight lol. they were completely different
Round 1, Crawford round: 10-9 Crawford
Really low activity round, Madrimov held the centre of the ring more and has crawford backing up, but hes not throwing a lot, only noteworthy punches from either guy that I noticed was a jab to body from Madrimov and 2 jabs from crawford that connected somewhat clean with madrimovs face. Not much to say, kind of just a feeling out round. (Close round)
Round 2, Crawford round: 20-18 Crawford
Another low activity, close round. Madrimov is holding centre ring for the first 2 minutes but doesnt really land anything, Crawford mostly landing pawing jabs off the backfoot. last minute and a half madrimov opens up a little more and lands some nice shots but Crawford steals the round in the last 20 seconds with some good body work. (Close round)
Round 3, Crawford round: 30-27 Crawford
Crawford turns it up volume wise this round. Madrimov lands a couple nice shots, but still seems to be stuck in the same patern of holding the centre of the ring but not letting his hands go enough on crawford when hes near the ropes. Crawford lands quite a few clean jabs this round, and probably the best shot of the fight at this point with an unorthodox lead uppercut while madrimov is coming in. (Clear round)
Round 4, Madrimov round: 39-37 Crawford
Madrimov finally starts letting his hands go more this round, lands some really nice right hands. Crawfords also doing some good work himself, but not enough to edge it for me. (Close round)
Round 5, Madrimov round: 48-47 Crawford
Crawford starts to stand in the middle of the ring more with Madrimov this round to mixed success. Madrimov is usually first to the punch this round and does his best work to seal the round for him around the last minute or so where he starts landing some sneaky shots on Crawford. (Clear round)
>>
>>145198459
Round 6, Crawford round: 58-56 Crawford
Strong bounce back round for crawford, times madrimov with a few really good clean shots early in the round, madrimov works his way back a little in the middle portion but Crawford finishes strongly in the last 30 seconds or so, landing some more good shots. (Clear round)
Round 7, Crawford round: 68-65 Crawford
Again, Madrimov falling into the habit of taking centre ring, pushing crawford to the ropes and then just only throwing one punch before resetting. Its infuriating because Crawford isnt even landing at a much higher frequency this round, but hes just doing more with his jabs as well as some other nice punches to the body near the end which wins him the round. I get that hes wary of punching more than once against a counterpuncher of Crawfords level, but he needs to do more to take these rounds (Clear round)
Round 8, Madrimov Round: 77-75 Crawford
Madrimov is still mostly landing just single shots but to a much more frequent extent this round. Its still relatively close until the last minute where Madrimov landes a massive right hand that somehow doesnt stun Crawford. Crawford fires back in the last minute also with some good body work but not enough to steal the round. (Clear round)
Round 9, Madrimov Round: 86-85 Crawford
While I still feel this is Madrimovs round, I dont agree that this is his best round of the fight as many have said. I actually think that the round itself was pretty close, and the only thing that really distinguishes the round as clearly Madrimovs is that big left hook he lands in the last minute of the round, Crawford puts together some good combinations and lands some nice jabs throughout. I think people should rewatch this round without DAZN commentary, its a lot closer than they make it out to be. (Close round)
>>
>>145198553
Round 10, Madrimov Round: 95-95 Even
Probably the closest round of the fight. Both guys landing a lot of big shots on the other, Madrimov only barely edges this one out for me as I think he landed a few more than Crawford (extremely close round)
Round 11, Crawford Round: 105-104 Crawford
Crawford comes out on the front foot this round and looks like he has more left in the tank that Madrimov, starts landing some beautiful shots. Madrimovs still hanging in their and firing back, but towards the last minute you can tell hes exhausted from all the feinting and moving hes been doing the whole fight and he starts getting wild with his shot. (Clear round)
Round 12 Crawford Round: 115-113 Crawford
Much the same story as the last round except Madrimovs shots are even wilder, you can tell hes bolloxed. (Clear Round)

So my original score I believe had it 8-4 (116-112) in favour of Bud, so its closer this time around with a 7-5 (115-113) in favour in Bud. I still think the whole "robbery" narrative people tried to push is stupid. Madrimovs problem was that he was often too gunshy when he actually got crawford to the ropes, there were a lot of rounds that I believe Bud won that Madrimov couldve taken if he just threw more when Crawford was backed up into the ropes rather than throw one shot and then reset. Maybe shouldve tried to impose himself up close more and work to buds body more also as I felt he headhunted a bit too much. Comparitively Crawfords work to Madrimovs body payed off massively in the last 2 rounds
>>
>>145197532
Mike straight up admits to studying classic film and working far hard to emulate those great fighters when he was still under the instruction of Cus D'amato and his protege Kevin Rooney. You can see the decline in his performance after he fired Rooney. Yes, he admits to partying later in his life, after the death of Cus. He attributed Cus to a lot of his early success, and his life was thrown into chaos when he lost him and Don King inserted himself into the picture. The elusive "prime" Mike Tyson was when he was still young. He worked hard and trained hard and was a peak physical specimen.

>I still think the whole "robbery" narrative people tried to push is stupid.
I don't know, it feels like people are biased for Crawford. For example you gave him the first two rounds even though he was the one backing Crawford up.

I feel like you're not giving Madrimovs excellent feinting the credit it deserves. It gave way to Madrimov landing right hands to Crawfords face all fight. To me that's clear that Madrimov is imposing his style and Crawford is being reactive instead of Imposing himself. I think that is a detail that a lot of judges really value, and there's something to be said of Ring Generalship and effective aggression.

You gave Craeford a lot of rounds were he was only really trying to time Madrimov while Mad was using his style to confuse Bud and land sneaky right hands to his face. I think that if we're talking strategy and gameplan, Mad won out for most of the rounds.

I think you and mostly everyone is kinds just gifting Crawford rounds for simply not losing them badly, even though he was being negative and Mad, even though low volume, was clearly the aggressor. That matters in a fight. Backing up an opponent is worth points, more so than just barely out jabbing your opponent.

Robbery is probably too harsh a word, but I do feel that people are excusing a very mild Crawford performance and kinda gifting him a belt even though he didn't really earn it. Mad should have probably been more active, sure. But so should have Crawford, and he was giving up a lot of ground in order to try and time Mad. I think he lost that fight.

But good analysis anyways. It's good that there are people in this general that actually WANT to discuss these fights instead of treating it like it's DBZ and your favorite character is clearly the strongest.

The problem with most of Fraud's previous opponents is that they are intimidated by Fraud's outside game, so they predictably plan to fight him on the inside.
This is a huge blunder because Fraud is a better inside boxer than an outside boxer.
What happens is that opponents awkwardly attempt to reach the inside and get countered hard.
Or once his opponents successfully landed on the inside, they refuse to leave that position (because of the effort they invested) to defend themselves and they get mauled in the process.
That's basically how Fraud hurts his opponents.

This is why Mayweather and Pacquiao would make a fool of Fraud because those boxers can easily break Fraud's range and then get out and do it again.
