>Black Legion no longer hard into Chaos worship, Abaddon sees himself as not a slave and is disdainful of the religious>Iron Warriors see relying on the Dark Gods as a weakness>Night Lords are edgy atheists>Emperor's Children don't care about Slaanesh specifically really, are just concerned with pleasuring themselves and being freaky. Fabius actively hates Chaos>Thousand Sons hate Tzeentch for fucking them and try to fuck him over when they can>Alpha Legion retconned to basically never having been religious at all >World Eaters are crazy and barely verbal anymore>Red Corsairs see relying on Dark Gods as weak and now have a whole cadre of troops that are "free" of Chaos influence>Only Word Bearers and Death Guard seem to actually venerate the Chaos GodsWhy are so few CSM actually religious anymore? Back in the day even your average Alpha Legion boy would be all FOR THE DARK GODS
>>97387179I thought the whole point was that people who throw their lot in with Chaos and go "hurr durr WE'RE FREE" are all fools being played like a fiddle by the dark gods no matter how powerful and influential they are, up to and including Abaddon himself? Also the Red Corsairs have always had non-Chaos renegade Space Marines hanging around, Huron and his former Astral Claws turned to Chaos but they've been mentioned as having all sorts of pirates and mercenaries and other assorted rebels floating around them for ages now. They've always been the least explicitly Chaos-aligned of the major CSM groups.

>>97386438I suspect it's less of a spatial understanding issue and more of a linguistic issue. Spending a lot of time with AI has really opened my eyes to just how imprecise human language is and how much of the meaning we extract from phrases comes from assumed context. To use your example, I'd imagine the problem was that a phrase like "[character] is shooting at a shooting range" can be interpreted equally accurately as the shooting range being the setting of the scene or the target of the shooting.
>>97386993>>97386438It is tricky. Especially how much we take for granted I'm what we know sports poses should look like. It took a long time before I got a halfway decent looking baseball swing. But even then, her hands are in the wrong position (fore hand should be on bottom) and despite telling it she should be facing the pitcher's moons, it looks like she's trying to hit the ball into one of the dugouts

>>97387541It's just a compilation with a fix here and there that can be ignored. So even if it's useless if you already have the previous version it's not trash like you're claiming. It was a basic remaster of the work to keep it alive.

>>97387443If you don't purpose build terrain for each game, you never beat the game.
>>97387482Mostly true, but also if you built a nice set of "European Countryside in Summer" terrain it works with 90% of games you will ever play, and then you can custom make a few specialty pieces for individual games

What are things you do that are "not" canon in the mini painting meta?Mine is picrel>Prime the sprueMuch easier for me to spray prime on a 2d "sheet" of sprue than a 3d mini. I just scrape off the paint to glue the pieces. Mould lines are scraped off. I dont re prime over them since they're just thin lines.>Prime white for blackPic rel will be my Black Templars, and I always prime white to paint black, that way my eyes know where exactly I've painted. And about you guys? Anything unsusual with how you do things?
>>97387438>I dont re prime over them since they're just thin lines.Anon, that's just gross.I don't think you're saving any time or effort because you have to scrape off the primer to glue the models. Also impossible to do gap filling and the like.Great rage bait. 10/10 would rage again.
>>97385602we went over this before, scale doesn't affect how things look when everything is in the same scale, otherwise the details on coins would be impossible to make out.>>97386514what exactly is the difference between realistic and fantasy? the lord of the rings movies were made with real people and real costumes, but it was a fantasy movie. even if you are painting a fantasy creature like a dragon or a tyranid are you not imagining "what would this look like if it was real?" when you are painting it? I think you are confusing realistic style with illustrated or comic book style.

>>97368230This is easy to see if you compare Pathfinder Chronicles (3.5) with Lost Omens (PF2E) .Almost every evil organization in old Pathfinder spent engaged in either slavery or torture, usually both. In Lost Omens it has been effectively been removed from the setting

>>97386313100k is probably the retail value of the packs. So roughly 700 boxes. Not counting specialty boosters the box retail at Walmart seems to be about $55 which puts it at $38,500. So if they sell them to a scalper for $40 per box that nets them $28,000; assuming a 4 way split that's $7000 each. Which doesn't sound like much but it means you only need 10 robberies a year to hit the median single income in the USA.

Quick one fellas. Black or green rim? https://poll-maker.com/poll5697259xFaE041b8-167
>>97387352I vote for green, but I would suggest another, complementary, detail to the base, a grass tuft or something.
>>97386572Just take champion and bunch of chaos marines without any gear to insta spawn some demons. Keep in mind that you must also have proper marks of Chaos to actually keep those said demons on table.
>>97387352Brown.Prompted me to check though and that before the goblin green bases with plain goblin green brushed sand/flock topping for everything era, base rims seemed to be largely just complimentary to what was on top. So a lot of brown bases. Some black rim bases, some green rims sometimes quite dark green. Quite a lot of variety in bases that got smushed out by the goblin green standardisation.
What age is it appropriate to let children open booster packs? In America, gambling is restricted to people 21 and over. Buying booster packs of Pokemon, Yugioh, etc however, all unrestricted.
>>97380251I'd say over 500 years old (legally verified) should be OK. Same for gachaslop.
>>97380251Opening booster packs is only gambling in the minds of faggots who think you must always play the most optimal strategies and that the only thing of worth in a game is the monetary or competitive value of the cards. Little Timmy wants to look at cool monsters, strong warriors, and wondrous vistas and learn to play a game that features them. If you think of boosters as gambling, then it's because you don't value the low-power experience and only care about chase cards. Kids don't often have that conception of their games and instead just enjoy opening the packs to see what they get. Do you have any concept of the wonder I felt as a child when my grandparents would buy me stray packs of Yugioh or Pokemon cards? I had no idea how to play the games properly, but I appreciated them nonetheless and was happy to receive them. I eventually learned how to play them and several other games, but I still have fond memories of cracking the packs and the value of the cards didn't enter into the equation for me.
>>97387630We know you're just interested in grooming children into believing gambling is natural and OK.

>>97387407You get out what you put in. I DM a 6 person group. I see every person at my table you describe. I dont necessarily expect you to be sitting on the edge of your seat if Im doing something one-to-one with another player. If you make the effort, Ill make the effort. With larger groups, you can leave the session feeling like 'which kid did I ignore tonight?'. I think you need to look deeper than what you just see because as the dungeon master, youre going all the time. Players dont necessarily have to do that. Ask yourself these things: does the player need reminded of things constantly? Do turns screech to a halt because they didnt plan ahead? Do they do things in-game that make no sense in any context? Those things can help you gauge player engagement. Its worth noting that my players, despite being seemingly distracted, are all very aware of the game, the story, and whats going on. I could be lucky though.

Next week, the party will continue on their mission to seek out and potentially destroy a hobgoblin war camp. Turns out that they’ve set up shop in an ancient and no longer functioning adamantine forge (the party has a chunk of mythril ore) and they’re using Goliath slaves (one party member is a Goliath, and this is his tribe). I’m trying to gauge how the party is going to go about this because even though I know for a fact that they’re bloodthirsty but will probably be more reserved once they realize how many hobgoblins are here. Also trying to find out ways to drain resources through this that isn’t explicitly combat, as well as figuring out a boss they’d have to fight to reactivate the forge that isn’t just a rip-off of Grym from BG3.
