What are things you do that are "not" canon in the mini painting meta?
Mine is picrel
>Prime the sprue
Much easier for me to spray prime on a 2d "sheet" of sprue than a 3d mini. I just scrape off the paint to glue the pieces. Mould lines are scraped off. I dont re prime over them since they're just thin lines.
>Prime white for black
Pic rel will be my Black Templars, and I always prime white to paint black, that way my eyes know where exactly I've painted.

And about you guys? Anything unsusual with how you do things?

Anon, that's just gross.
I don't think you're saving any time or effort because you have to scrape off the primer to glue the models. Also impossible to do gap filling and the like.

Great rage bait. 10/10 would rage again.

we went over this before, scale doesn't affect how things look when everything is in the same scale, otherwise the details on coins would be impossible to make out.

>>97386514
what exactly is the difference between realistic and fantasy? the lord of the rings movies were made with real people and real costumes, but it was a fantasy movie. even if you are painting a fantasy creature like a dragon or a tyranid are you not imagining "what would this look like if it was real?" when you are painting it? I think you are confusing realistic style with illustrated or comic book style.
>>
>>97387702
I think that anon in general is quite confused.

WIP, I'm putting together a Kratos tank for use in 40k. Should I go lack Legion or Ultramarines with it?
>>
>>97387688
It does, it saves me a lot of time and it lets me add bits and pieces that I didnt plan. Sometimes I want to add a cape or different arms after painting the body. My bits box already has the pieces I need.
Why is this a rage bait?
>>
>>97388331
Post your finished minis, anon
>>
This might seem like a stupid question, but what's the point of a smaller nozzle on an airbrush? Is it just for smaller details? Or for putting paint on the same size just slower?
>>
>>97388331
How does it save you time? You have to scrape primer off, I don't. I save time, you don't. I don't see how it's easier to add bits either.

I called it rage bait as a joke, but it's because nothing you're saying seems to make sense.
>>
>>97388361
It's for detail. Slower is done by easing off the trigger a bit.
>>
>>97388361
Yes.
Quality airbrush with a ~0.2 nozzle, lower pressure, a flow improver, and you can do up to a hair thin detail work.
